My Infinite Cultivation System-Chapter 91: Grand Welcome
Alex left the island without looking back, but his mind did not rest for even a moment. His thoughts raced in countless directions, calculations forming and dissolving in rapid succession. Every scenario, every variable, and every possibility was being considered simultaneously.
The situation was far from optimistic. Within one month, the world would face a threat far greater than anything humanity had encountered before. The invading forces were powerful enough to crush the planet if nothing was done to resist them.
Alex was strong, yes, but there were 4 major races as well as the ancient humans who had a star realm being among them. So he would need an army.
But creating a conventional army within such a short time was impossible. Even if millions of soldiers were gathered, training them to reach the necessary level of strength would take years. Time was something Alex did not have. Every second counted, and hesitation could mean catastrophe.
His only realistic option was technology. If he could not raise an army strong enough to fight planetary enemies, then he would give ordinary people the strength to do so. Battle suits. That was the only solution.
However, even that path was filled with problems. Creating suits capable of granting planetary level power was not something that could be achieved easily. The energy requirements alone were enormous. Each suit would need a core capable of sustaining immense output without destabilizing. If the energy source faltered, the wearer could be destroyed along with the suit.
Alex exhaled slowly, centering his thoughts. "Rafael," he said.
The artificial intelligence responded instantly in his mind.
[Yes.]
"Let us create a vessel for you first," Alex said calmly. "You will need a physical platform that allows you to operate independently. After that, I want you to begin designing the combat suits. Their power level does not need to exceed planetary rank. If they can reach that level, it will be enough."
There was a brief pause as Rafael processed the information. Then the AI answered.
[Alright. But this suit has a star level core, that is supplying the power. We will need something planetary level, which will supply the extra strength, but Earth doesn’t have such technology yet. And if I want to create one, I’ll need more data and time.]
Alex considered this carefully. Indeed, that was a problem. Earth simply did not have technology advanced enough to produce planetary-level power cores. A conventional reactor or even a highly modified star-level core would not suffice.
"Can we use the cores of planetary monsters somehow?" Alex asked, testing the possibilities.
Rafael responded immediately.
[We can, but they are impure and the suit wouldn’t function properly.]
Alex’s lips curled into a small smile. "Leave that part to me. You should design your vessel first and focus on the suits. Meanwhile, I’ll create some pure cores for you."
[Understood.]
Without wasting time, Alex opened the storage ring on his finger. Fifty glowing cores floated into the air, each pulsating with raw, unstable energy. These were the planetary cores he had collected during his battles. Many had been dormant, but now they were about to serve their purpose.
Each core contained massive energy, but it was corrupted with biological residue, unstable patterns, and residual chaos from the monsters they had come from. Using them directly would be catastrophic. They had to be purified and combined carefully.
Alex began the process immediately. Ten cores rose into the air, glowing intensely. His body was bathed in light as he poured energy into them, using fire, light, alchemy, and finally gravity to bind and purify the raw matter. The energy churned violently, and sparks of uncontained power erupted outward, but Alex remained perfectly focused. Slowly, the impurities were removed, and the cores began merging into a super core.
"Tell me, will this work?" he asked, his voice calm but serious.
[90% closer to perfection. It will work.]
Alex frowned. "Only 90%? What am I missing?"
[You need to be able to gather more energy to reach perfection.]
Alex muttered under his breath. "Whatever. Just work. I have many things to do."
He teleported immediately to the ruins he had scouted earlier. There, he began gathering raw materials to construct the vessel for Rafael. His technology master talent made this process nearly effortless. Even the most complex materials could be identified, extracted, and shaped precisely according to specifications.
Hours passed as Alex worked tirelessly. The vessel needed to be perfect—a platform capable of channeling Rafael’s consciousness and power seamlessly. The final design emerged: a metallic octopus, with each tentacle capable of precise manipulation and equipped with advanced energy conduits. Once built, Rafael would have full control over it as though it were an extension of his own mind.
Alex worked through the night. By dawn, the octopus vessel was complete. Its eyes glowed faintly as energy flowed through it, and its limbs moved with smooth, deliberate motion under Rafael’s guidance.
Alex observed carefully. "From how long a distance can you control it?"
[I can control it as long as it stays inside your mental domain.]
Alex nodded. "Then that’s perfect. First, create five suits. If you succeed, we can begin the next phase—a killing spree in the ocean."
He retrieved the remaining two star level suits from his storage, having already decided who would use them. One would be for his father; the other was meant for Elyndros, his master. He dialed his master’s number immediately.
"Master, where are you? I want to meet with you."
Elyndros answered quickly. "Alex, are you returning to Aurora City?"
"Yes," Alex replied.
"Okay, I am at the alliance hall. Will you come there directly, or somewhere else?" Elyndros asked.
"I would like to meet you personally," Alex said. "I’ll come to your family estate."
"Alright," Elyndros replied. "But please come through the city gate. The people want to meet their messiah."
Alex smiled faintly. He had already made plans for the suits, the vessel, and the pure cores. Every step was calculated, and yet, he knew this was only the beginning. The coming battles would require every ounce of ingenuity, speed, and strength he could muster.
Rafael hovered silently in his mental domain, transmitting the status of the vessel and the energy cores directly into Alex’s mind. Every calculation, every contingency, every possible outcome was available. Alex’s confidence grew—not because he was invincible, but because he had prepared for nearly every variable.
As the sun rose higher, Alex stepped into the teleportation circle he had prepared and vanished from the ruins, leaving behind the raw materials, the purified cores, and the vessel now bound to Rafael. He reappeared near Aurora City, feeling the hum of energy that permeated the city. The populace was already aware of his return. Rumors had spread rapidly: the city’s messiah had come back.
Alex’s mind raced. His first priority was to hand over the suits to their designated users. Meeting Elyndros came first. His father would have to wait, though Alex trusted him to act wisely until then.
Alex approached the city gate, his steps steady and unhurried, but the air itself seemed to shift around him. As he passed through, thousands of eyes turned to him. The streets were lined with citizens, their murmurs hushed into awe as they caught sight of him. Every person felt the weight of his presence, as if the very atmosphere bowed in recognition.
But it was not only the common folk who watched. Among the crowd stood the greatest of humanity’s protectors: Julius, Arthur, Nolan, Elyndros, and every other martial emperor. Their faces were solemn, yet their eyes held deep respect. They had fought wars, quelled uprisings, and commanded armies, but in this moment, even they recognized something greater than themselves.
Anna stood near the front, her expression a mixture of relief and admiration. Darion’s posture was rigid, his hand unconsciously gripping the hilt of his blade. Selena’s gaze followed Alex intently, her aura calm but alert. They had all heard of the man who had single-handedly turned the tide against overwhelming odds. Now, they saw him in flesh and blood.
As Alex walked forward, the murmurs turned into unified whispers, then into a reverent silence. Every head in the streets seemed to tilt toward him. Every eye followed his movement. The air vibrated with anticipation and respect.
He was the man who had saved humanity from near-certain destruction. He was the man in whom they placed their faith, the one they believed could lead them through the coming grand battle. Thousands of hearts beat in silent accord, all acknowledging his unmatched strength and unwavering determination.
Even the martial emperors, who had commanded nations and armies, felt a rare weight in his presence. This was no ordinary leader, no ordinary warrior. This was Alex Moriarty, the savior, the messenger of hope, and the living embodiment of humanity’s last chance.
As he passed through the gates, the city itself seemed to lean forward, as if recognizing the significance of his return. Every citizen, every soldier, and every martial emperor present knew one truth: the world’s fate rested in his hands, and they were ready to follow him, without question, into the battle to come.
