My Husband, a Marshal: Conquering the Stars with My Culinary Arts-Chapter 494 - 167 Teasing_2
"No worries." Ke Lian obediently put down his chopsticks and, seeing the dish piled high like a little mountain, couldn’t help but cough lightly, "If you can’t finish, it’s okay. I’ll help you eat it."
"Enough already! We’re eating! How come you’re constantly flaunting your affection in front of Miao Miao and me!" Although Ke Xing was happy to see his son and daughter-in-law getting along well, too much PDA would get on his nerves!
Du Xixi’s face immediately turned red, but Ke Lian looked at his dad with a smile and jokingly served him a piece of chicken strip from the Dong’an Chicken using his chopsticks, teasing, "The joy of flaunting affection is something you will never understand, Dad."
Ke Xing: ...
Miao Miao covered her mouth and laughed, making sure her laughter didn’t reach Ke Xing’s ears to avoid "adding fuel to the fire."

After digesting the meal, Du Xixi felt a bit tired today, so she went upstairs early, and Ke Lian, lacking the motivation to handle work in the study, followed Du Xixi back to their room.
"Are you okay on your own? Be careful of slippery floors." Du Xixi grabbed her pajamas and change of underwear to take a shower, with Ke Lian being extra cautious nearby, diligently reminding her.
"Got it! I’m wearing anti-slip slippers!" Du Xixi closed the bathroom door halfway, then leaned out with half her body, teasingly looking at the worried Ke Lian, "How about you come and help me shower?"
"Uh... this..."
Ke Lian froze entirely, looking at Du Xixi’s teasing smile, rendered speechless, especially since Du Xixi, with her sharp eyes, noticed his ears turning red.
Du Xixi was just joking and, noticing Ke Lian’s slight embarrassment, couldn’t help but smile with delight, saying after closing the door, "Just teasing you!"
The pattering sounds of water came from the bathroom, and Ke Lian listened, standing outside the bathroom door, lost in thought. After a long while, the water sounds stopped in the bathroom, and only then did Ke Lian snap out of it, covering his eyes and chuckling softly.
Was he just teased?
In the bathroom, Du Xixi used a large towel to wipe off the water before changing into comfortable long-sleeved pajamas, a contented smile curving the corners of her mouth.
Teasing Ke Lian was really fun.
Once Du Xixi finished showering, it was Ke Lian’s turn. After he came out in pajamas, he discovered that Du Xixi had already cuddled up in the soft blanket, fast asleep.
Perhaps really exhausted, Du Xixi, who usually slept without a peep, tonight even snored softly with a furrowed brow. Ke Lian crouched by Du Xixi’s bedside, gazing at her sleeping face for a long time without saying a word.
The curtains hadn’t been drawn yet; the moonlight outside was lovely. The pristine moonlight also poured into the bedroom, casting a sacred shimmer on the girl on the bed. Ke Lian lovingly brushed her brow and kissed her tenderly.
"Goodnight, Xixi."
"Wishing you a night of beautiful dreams."
Because she slept early, Du Xixi ended up waking up earlier than usual the next day, getting dressed while Ke Lian was just waking up from bed.
Ke Lian’s hair wasn’t long, yet now it was slightly messy, his pajama loosely revealing his collarbone, its allure tempered by his cool demeanor.
He glanced at the woman sitting at the vanity, noticing Xixi’s long hair falling straight down with slightly curled ends, a natural beauty that made his fingers itch, yearning to stroke through it, letting the dark strands slip between his fingers.
Du Xixi, with her head slightly lowered, was carefully untangling a lock of hair, when suddenly a familiar embrace enveloped her from behind. Surprised, she raised her gaze to meet Ke Lian’s eyes in the mirror, "Awake?"
"Mm." Ke Lian lazily replied while holding Du Xixi in his arms and gently nuzzling her hair.
The Ke Family’s toiletries were unscented, yet Ke Lian found Du Xixi’s hair fragrant; a subtle aroma teasing his nose, captivating him, as he smiled, pulling her tighter.
Du Xixi put down the comb, softly gazing at Ke Lian in the mirror with a tender, lilting morning tone, "If outsiders saw this, they might say you’re a pervert.
"I’m smelling my wife’s hair, who’s bold enough to comment?" Ke Lian chuckled and opened his eyes, the slight brightness in his green eyes, "Besides, when it comes to you, I am willing to be a pervert."
Du Xixi wrinkled her nose, feeling that Ke Lian was becoming more audacious in front of her, yet honestly... she actually quite liked his cheeky demeanor.
