As soon as they entered, before they could even greet anyone, Kong Jie’s worried voices welcomed them, “You’ve only just come back, why are you going out again? And for a whole week, no less.”
“Mom, I’m going to work. And I’m not leaving the country, just attending an academic conference domestically. Besides, it’s not just me going, older brother is going too.”
