My Horny Stepmom Turns Me into Her Vampire Slave-Chapter 56: The incarnation of Azkarith
"Perfect timing, Zaira! I never thought I’d say this, but... I’m really happy to see you!" Chris exclaims.
"What an ungrateful little bastard! Back in Hawaii, when I used to come find you in your room at night, you seemed pretty happy to see me, huh!"
"Save your sex-crazed arguments for later — we have more important things to deal with!" Mia snaps, annoyed.
Without the Incandescent Mantle to protect her, Mia is now at the mercy of the primordial vampires. But a well-timed sphere of energy from Zaira pulls her out of danger.
The succubus hovers above them, supporting them by bombarding the creatures with her powerful long-range spells.
"Officer Tomson isn’t with you — I hope you found a safe place to take refuge. The situation here is unmanageable, and I don’t know how long Chris and I can hold out!"
"Unfortunately, no — the whole city is like this! But Manhattan is full of Monster Slayers, so I dropped him on top of a skyscraper. He should be safe... I hope. But how am I supposed to get you there? I can’t carry both of you, and I can’t save one while condemning the other to certain death!"
"Take Chris to safety and leave me here!"
"A-Are you joking? There’s no way I’m leaving you here to die!"
Mia’s eyes fill with tears of despair, mixing with the sweat and blood smeared across her face.
"I... I’m sure all of this is happening because of me! If I died, this hell would finally end! Chris, Isabelle — and you... you’ve all suffered too much because of those hunting me! I don’t want you to spend the rest of your lives living in fear that something like this could happen again! Please, Zaira... take my brother somewhere safe! I’m begging you! For the sake of our friendship... do me this last favor! Chris was just a normal human... he got dragged into all of this against his will! He’s the one who deserves to live... not me!"
"H-How can you say this has nothing to do with me?" Chris growls through clenched teeth, both from the pain of the wounds reopening across his body and the anger sparked by Mia’s words.
"Y-You’re my sister, damn it! If it wasn’t for you, I’d still be rotting within the moldy walls of that damned orphanage! How the hell can you be so selfish, Mia?! How can you think our lives could go on like nothing happened if you died?! I’d rather live a thousand days like this than in a peaceful world without you!"
"Your brother is right, Mia! You’re the most important person in our lives, and we’re not going anywhere without you! Now stop whining! Shut that fucking mouth and let’s kill these bastards!"
For a moment, Mia’s heart stops and a shiver runs through her body. The tears on her cheeks are no longer from despair, but from emotion.
"C-Chris, Z-Zaira... thank you... really..."
The Tear of Azkarith begins to shine with a far more intense, blinding light than ever before. The entire Bronx starts to tremble, and the few buildings still standing begin to collapse as if a violent earthquake had struck.
"...I... I promise I’ll get you out of this! I’ll never let you suffer because of me again! I’ll destroy these bastards — and anyone who tries to hurt you!"
Under Zaira and Chris’s incredulous gaze, two large golden dragon wings with pink membranes burst from Mia’s back, and two sharp golden horns sprout from her head.
The Tear of Azkarith she wore around her neck has disappeared, and the same stone is now embedded in her forehead. Her irises have taken on a reptilian shape, just like when she uses the Destruction Dragon Eyes.
"M-Mia... what the hell is happening to you...?" Chris murmurs, more frightened than relieved by her sudden transformation.
Zaira is seized by the same terror.
But it’s not just them. Even the primordial vampires — creatures incapable of feeling fear — begin to step back.
Mia takes flight, and every beat of her wings unleashes a gust powerful enough to sweep away everything around her.
She looks around, her eyes filled with disdain and cold rejection.
"You vapid, inferior beings... how dare you challenge a god?"
Mia’s voice is no longer hers. It’s darker, deeper — as if someone else is speaking through her.
And that’s exactly what’s happening.
This draconic form isn’t an ability granted by the Tear of Azkarith like the ones she’s used so far.
The Destruction Dragon Eyes and the Incandescent Mantle respond to her will — but this is completely different.
Isabelle has warned her more than once how dangerous it is to draw on more power than she can handle.
But overwhelmed by her emotions and the desire to push herself further than ever to protect Chris and Zaira, Mia loses control of the Tear of Azkarith — until that same immense power overwhelms her and takes control.
And now, the one standing before Chris, Zaira, and the thousands of primordial vampires is no longer Mia. It is Azkarith himself — and she has become his incarnation.
"Waging war against a god is an intolerable affront — and you will all pay for it with your lives."
"M-Mia, what the hell are you saying?" Chris blurts out.
In response, she shoots him a look that freezes him with terror. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"You wretched mortal... how dare you speak to a god with such insolence?!"
Mia stretches her arm toward him, and a torrent of fire bursts from her palm.
Only Zaira’s quick reflexes save him — she grabs him midair and pulls him away at the last moment, preventing him from being reduced to ashes.
Mia rises higher, while below her the primordial vampires flee in every direction, gripped by a terror they’ve never known.
She fills her lungs with a deep breath. An instant later, she unleashes a devastating blaze toward the ground, spreading in every direction like a tsunami of flames and reducing everything in its path to ashes.
Vampires, cars, buildings — everything within a radius of hundreds of meters is pulverized by that devastating breath of pink fire.
Even the black sedan that Frank and his henchmen were in just minutes ago is now reduced to a heap of molten metal.
Only Chris and Zaira manage to escape the devastation thanks to Zaira’s ability to fly.
A satisfied grin spreads across Mia’s face as she takes in the desolation around her.
Then her gaze falls on Zaira and Chris.
"And now... it’s your turn."
