My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!-Chapter 85: Relay Race Final: Julian Vs Anindya
When the red and white baton in the hands of the third runner, Anindya called out to Julian.
"Julian!" Anindya called.
"What?" Julian asked.
I'm mad at you, and as punishment, I'm going to beat you in this race!" Anindya replied, exasperated and exuding an intimidating aura.
"O-okay, I-I won't lose either" Julian said, though he wasn't convinced either.
"NOW IN FIRST PLACE IS DIKA FROM GRADE 12-S, SECOND IS GLARICA FROM GRADE 12-M, THIRD IS CLADIA FROM GRADE 10-FA, FOURTH IS DIMAS FROM GRADE 11-M, AND FIFTH IS SAGARA FROM GRADE 11-D!" Yusuf said enthusiastically.
"SAGARA! SPEED UP!" Desy shouted.
"DIMAS~!" Silica called teasingly into the microphone.
Dimas looked up at the class canopy—he saw Silica in her cheerleader costume, wearing a microphone, and on the right side a speaker to amplify Silica's voice.
"TRY YOUR BEST~!" Silica said, making a love sign with her thumb and index finger. She also smiled sweetly and winked with her right eye.
Seeing this, Dimas's heart started beating fast, his eyes lit up, and—
"OUUUUUHHHHH!!! I'LL GIVE MY BEST!!!" Dimas shouted enthusiastically.
Dimas ran fast—but his strength was only barely enough to outpace Cladia and Sagara.
"Tch! Damn it!" Sagara said, annoyed.
"WOAHHH!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS! GETTING EXCITED, DIMAS ALMOST OVERTAKEN GLARICA—WHO WENT SECOND PLACE IN LAST YEAR'S JAKARTA JUNIOR MARATHON CHAMPION," Yusuf said.
"HE'S ONLY TWENTY METERS BEHIND HER NOW, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE GLARICA ISN'T LETTING HER GUARD DOWN—SHE'S PICKING UP THE PACE AS WELL!" Yusuf continued.
"THEY HAVE REACHED THE FOURTH RUNNER" Yusuf continued.
"I-I'll leave the rest to you... haaa... haaa" Dimas said, exhausted.
Dimas immediately sat down on the field and caught his breath, while Wiro, who had received the baton, looked at Silica and shouted.
"SILICA! CHEER ME UP TOO~!" Wiro shouted.
Silica looked up and said.
"Okay~" said Silica with a sweet smile.
Silica looked at her four friends, all wearing the same costumes as her.
"Let's all cheer Wiro on—with the words we've practiced" Silica said.
Her friends nodded.
"1... 2... 3," Silica said.
"WIROOOOO HANDSOME~..." they shouted in unison, cutely.
They immediately tilted their bodies to the right, raised their left legs, and formed a love symbol with their hands—the symbol was placed in front of their left chests—while saying,
"WE SUPPORT YOU, KEEP FIGHTING FOR US~!" they said cutely.
Dimas, Joyce, and Agus, who were resting on the field, immediately fainted with joy when they saw this. Wiro, meanwhile, became even more enthusiastic.
"WOAHHH SO CUTE!!! I'LL FINISH THIS QUICKLY!" Wiro shouted enthusiastically, even though he was already left behind by the other participants.
"Hmph! What's so cute about that... I can do that too" Desy muttered with a pout and turned her head to the left.
Wiro smiled at Desy's behavior and started running fast.
"Huh? Did you say something, Desy?" asked Delima, who was on Desy's right.
Wulan, who was on Delima's right, also glanced at Desy. Desy was immediately startled and turned to look at the two of them.
"Eh? N-no, I-I was just talking to myself!" Desy replied with an awkward smile.
"Whatever... let's go back to cheering on our representative!" Delima said.
"O-okay" Desy said.
Desy took a deep breath and cheered her class representative back on.
Meanwhile, Julian could only maintain a flat expression as he watched Wiro's antics. But suddenly, he sensed a threatening aura—and he already knew exactly where it was coming from.
"Julian~!" Anindya called out in a melodious but eerie voice.
"I-I didn't do anything!" Julian replied quickly.
"Are you thinking of asking another girl for encouragement too!?" Anindya asked with a menacing smile.
"No! No! I won't do that!" Julian replied, shaking his head.
"Great!, If you want something like that, just tell me, okay" Anindya said, winking with her right eye, smiling sweetly, and making an 'OK' sign with her right hand.
Julian immediately fell silent and blushed at Anindya's words.
"WOAH!, HOW SURPRISING! WIRO, WHO WAS BEING BEHIND THE REACH, SUDDENLY MANAGED TO OVERTAKE LIMBAD 12-M AND HILMA 10-FA" Yusuf said.
Julian immediately came to his senses and looked at Wiro.
"WILL HE BE ABLE TO OVERTAKE DITTO FROM CLASS 11-D?" Yusuf asked.
Wiro was behind Ditto. Ditto—a 177cm tall and weighing 75kg boy with long green hair that reached his back, green eyes, and beige skin.
"Wiro, don't think you can beat me!" Ditto said with an irritated expression.
"Ditto... I can beat you in terms of good looks, let alone just running like this" Wiro said with an arrogant smile.
Ditto grew even more irritated hearing this, and increased his running speed. Wiro simply smiled arrogantly as he increased his speed.
"Damn it!" Ditto said, annoyed that Wiro had overtaken him.
Unfortunately, Wiro couldn't catch up with Dragna from class 12-S, because he had already given his baton to his class' Anchor leg.
"Here, don't date while running, or we'll lose" Wiro said with a mocking expression and tone.
"I-I know it" Julian said.
Julian immediately took off running.
"Run as fast as you can, Julian. I'll definitely catch up with you" Anindya muttered with a cocky smile.
Julian, without further ado, sprinted until he passed Lagsa from class 12-S. Lagsa—a 160cm tall and weighing 60kg boy with a white textured crop hairstyle, blue eyes, and porcelain skin.
"Heee~ So he really is an above-average runner" Lagsa muttered with a stunned expression.
The average running speed of all MATARAM Vocational School students ranges from 12 to 35 km/h. Julian was the only student who managed to reach 35 km/h, while Anindya was recorded at 27 km/h at school.
"Yeah, who knows, I might win, as long as I don't give up," Lagsa muttered with a grin (his maximum running speed is 25 km/h).
Lagsa picked up speed, but it wasn't long before Anindya quickly outran him.
"Ahahaha, never mind, I'll just try my best," Lagsa muttered with an awkward laugh.
"WOAHH!!! AS SOON AS DITTO GAVE ANINDYA THE BATON, ANINDYA IMMEDIATELY RAN AWAY—AND NOW SHE'S BEHIND JULIAN!" Yusuf said excitedly.
Meanwhile, in the Teachers' Canopy, located on the left side of the Announcers canopy, there were five chairs and a long table for the teachers, who were tasked with overseeing the competition. In the left corner was Ms. Lia (25 year), to her right was Ms. Vivilia (28 year), to her right was Mr. Fian (30 year), to his right was Mr. Yanto (36 year), and to his right was Ms. Aisyah(30 year).
They each wore sportswear of different colors and brands.
"It seems our country has a rather unique generation" Mr. Yanto said, wearing a short-sleeved Mike sports shirt and black track pants. He was seated under the teachers' canopy, positioned to the left of the announcer's stand.
"That's absolutely true—and coincidentally, some of them attend our school" Ms. Aisyah said, wearing a pink hijab and a long-sleeved Abibas sports outfit with matching pink track pants. She was seated to the right of Mr. Yanto.
"You're right, we're really lucky, hahaha," Mr. Yanto said with a laugh.
Back to the race.
Julian was surprised by Yusuf's words. He looked back to see Anindya slowly approaching him.
"Ahahaha, I caught up with you! I'm going to overtake you now, Julian!" Anindya said jokingly.
Anindya picked up speed and passed Julian.
"JULIAN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING! PICK UP YOUR SPEED!!!" Silica shouted.
"Tch! Damn it!" Julian muttered in annoyance.
Julian increased his speed. Anindya crossed the finish line, and she began to slow down, seeing Julian and the others far behind her.
"Hihi, you totally deserved that—that's what you get for making me angry" Anindya muttered, looking back.
"JULIAN!" Wiro called from the microphone he had borrowed from Silica.
Julian turned to Wiro.
"I HAVE A PHOTO OF ANINDYA POSING BEAUTIFULLY AND CUTELY. IF YOU WANT THIS PHOTO, THEN WIN THIS COMPETITION!" Wiro said, showing five photos of Anindya posing beautifully and cutely.
Julian's eyes widened at the photo of Anindya, exhausted after crossing the finish line, drinking a can of juice while sweating, smiling with her friends, wiping the sweat from her forehead with her right arm, and trying to tie her hair.
Julian immediately perked up and increased his running speed. Wiro smiled proudly at this.
"Hmph! It wasn't in vain that I snatched these photos from Anindya's fans who were sneaking them" Wiro thought to himself with a proud expression.
Suddenly, two Anindya fans appeared on Wiro's right and left sides.
"What did you say!?" asked Tano, an Anindya fan from class 11-M.
"Bastard! Where did you get those photos!?" asked Wisno, an Anindya fan from class 11-M.
Wiro immediately stuffed the photos into his right pants pocket.
"GO AWAY! THIS IS FOR HER BOYFRIEND! NOT FOR YOU!" Wiro said angrily, pushing them both back.
"Damn Wiro! I never thought you'd get that moment!" Wisno said with an annoyed expression and his right fist clenched.
"SHUT UP! IF YOU HAVE NO WORK, GO AWAY OR WATCH IN QUIETLY!" Wiro shouted angrily.
They both immediately shrank back.
"O-okay" they both said.
Wiro looked back at the field.
"Good! He's almost caught up to Anindya!" Wiro said happily.
Anindya didn't increase her running speed, deliberately giving way and letting Julian pass her. When Julian was halfway across the field, he suddenly felt tired and his speed slowed down. It wasn't long before Anindya caught up to Julian.
"What's wrong? Why are you suddenly running so slowly? Were you waiting for me~?" Anindya asked mockingly.
"Y-yes, I was waiting for you," Julian replied with an exhausted smile.
Anindya's eyes widened.
"Ahahahaha, you can do it, but at this rate, I can easily beat you," Anindya said, laughing happily.
Julian didn't answer; he was silent for a few minutes.
"Damn, I'm running out of energy! I have to find a way to get her to give in" Julian thought to himself, his expression exhausted, staring straight ahead.
"WHAT'S GOING ON? THEY'RE SUDDENLY RUNNING IN THE SAME POSITION—RELAXED AND WITHOUT REACTION!" Yusuf asked, shocked.
"IF THIS KEEPS ON, THEY'LL BE OVERTAKEN BY OTHER PARTICIPANTS" Yusuf continued.
"Julian, why—" Anindya said.
"Anindya" Julian interrupted.
"Yes?" Anindya asked.
Julian turned to Anindya—his expression serious.
"Your eyes... They're so beautiful—like the blue sea reflecting the sunlight" Julian said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, Anindya's face immediately turned red and steamed like a boiled crab.
"W-W-W-W-WHAT are you talking about!?... D-D-DON'T think your sweet words will make me g-give in!!!" Anindya said nervously, her eyes swirled.
"Looks like it worked... Okay, next step," Julian said to himself with a proud expression.
"Anindya" Julian called, his voice changing to a deep voice.
"Y-yes?" Anindya asked with a tense expression.
"If you give in, I promise to accompany you in defeating the criminals" Julian said with a serious expression and a deep voice.
Anindya's eyes immediately widened.
"Eh? Really?" Anindya asked.
"Of course, wait for me at the koi pond after this," Julian replied with a confident smile.
"Aaaa~!, okay~!" Anindya said happily, her eyes sparkling.
Anindya began to slow down.
"WOAH, WHAT'S GOING ON?! DID ANINDYA JUST SLOW DOWN HER SPEED OR DID JULIAN PICK UP HIS?!" Yusuf asked.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ANINDYA?!" Desy shouted.
"COME ON, NININ! SPEED UP A LOT!!!" Wulan shouted.
Anindya's friends didn't hear Julian and Anindya's conversation because they were both speaking quietly and the atmosphere was lively as the other classes were cheering for their representatives.
"NICE, JULIAN! RUN FAST! LATER I'LL ALSO SEND YOU A CUTE AND BEAUTIFUL PHOTO OF ME IN A CHEERLEADER COSTUME!" Silica said happily into the microphone.
Anindya stopped, then picked up a fairly large pebble and threw it at Silica. The pebble hit Silica's forehead.
"OUCH!" Silica screamed.
"Hmph!" Anindya snorted.
Anindya continued running.
"That hurts! Who dares throw a rock at me!" Silica said with a pained expression, holding her forehead and looking left and right.
"AND THE FIRST TO COME IS JULIAN FROM GRADE 11-M! THEN THE SECOND IS ANINDYA FROM GRADE 11-D! THEN THE THIRD IS FREYNA FROM GRADE 10-FA, THEN THE FOURTH IS YUCA FROM GRADE 12-M, AND LASTLY LAGSA FROM GRADE 12-S!" Yusuf said excitedly.
"Haa... Haa... Damn it!... a-are they really human?!" Lagsa muttered, shocked and out of breath.
Cheers echoed across the field, and the marching band began to play, signaling victory and the end of the competition. Julian looked up at his class's canopy, watching his classmates jump for joy.
Anindya approached Julian.
"Julian" Anindya said shyly.
"Yeah, let's talk near the koi pond" Julian said with a smile.
Anindya nodded, and the two of them quietly left the field amidst the bustling and lively atmosphere.
