My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!-Chapter 73: The Darmia Family’s Story: Hunting Human Traffickers Part 3
After a 40-second silence, Julian raised his head and asked again.
"After Lateral Root was captured, did you find out who the mastermind was?" Julian asked.
"No, when Tia hacked their devices, a lot of data emerged, and that data contained the names of major gangs, minor gangs, and the types of businesses they operated," Julian replied.
"Then it would be easy—in the search," Julian said.
"Can yes, can no" Anindya said.
"Why?" Julian asked.
"Why did I say no? Because—as I said before, they mingle with ordinary people and live in normal environments, so it would be very difficult to find them," Anindya replied.
"Then why did I say yes? Because we’ve collaborated with the President of Indonesia, so we can spread our information worldwide" Anindya continued.
"But you have to have permission from foreign governments" Julian said.
Anindya began to relax on the sofa.
"If it’s just searching and gathering information, you disguised yourself as a tourist is enough. Once we have a lead and are ready to make an arrest, then we’ll ask permission from the foreign government" Anindya said.
"Ah I see..." Julian said.
Julian began to stroke Anindya’s head again with his left hand.
"You’re smart, hahaha" Julian said, laughing proudly.
Anindya, hearing the praise, felt happy—her cheeks even turned red. Julian removed his hand from Anindya’s head.
"So did your father’s team find the people they wanted to sell at that time?" Julian asked.
"Yes, that’s where we found Sagara and 50 other kids suffering from the same psychological disorder" Anindya replied.
Julian, hearing this, began to think.
"Wait, that happened in 2071, and now Sagara is the same age as me, which means..." Julian thought to himself, his expression deep in thought.
After reaching his conclusion, Julian’s expression slowly changed to one of shock, and he looked back at Anindya.
"Anindya, isn’t that too cruel?" Julian asked with a shock expression and tone.
"Yes, that’s right, that’s why Papa and Mama spend so much money to cure kids like Sagara" Anindya replied.
"Ahh, okay, enough, I don’t want to hear any more of that cruel story, let’s get to the point," Julian said, waving his hands in disgust.
"Okay, the point is, now we have to find the remaining gangs: The Black Naja, The Fly To Heaven, The Trojan Twins, and Leucochloridium" Anindya said.
"So, you’re hoping the one chasing us is one of the four gangs you’re looking for?" Julian asked.
"Yes~, I was trying to lure one of them, and it looks like I caught one, hehehe" Anindya replied with a chuckle.
Julian began to think. While Julian was thinking, Anindya began to lean toward him, clasping his right palm with both of hers. Julian was immediately startled when Anindya suddenly leaned over and grabbed his right hand.
"So, are you coming with me? Help me defeat them, huh?" Anindya asked, her expression cute.
Julian fell silent, her cheeks flushed with surprise. Five minutes of silence followed, the only sound coming from the TV was the sound of a zombie movie.
The two stared deeply at each other—Julian with a dumbfounded expression, while Anindya looked at him with a cute expression and a hopeful smile. Anindya’s expression almost teased Julian, and he almost agreed with her words.
Julian swallowed and took a deep breath—trying to control himself.
"Anindya..." Julian called, his voice low.
"Hm?" Anindya asked, tilting her head to the right—her expression still cute.
"I’m just an ordinary person" Julian replied.
He shifted his gaze to the left.
"I’m not an assassin, not a spy, not a police, or not a soldier," Julian continued.
Anindya’s expression immediately changed—she didn’t expect to be rejected—after revealing so many of her family’s secrets to an ordinary person.
"I’ve never even held a real weapon, other than a kitchen knife and a belt" Julian said.
Julian began to remove his palm from Anindya’s grasp, then clasped both of her hands with his own. He closed his eyes and bowed his head slightly, saying,
"That’s why... I’m sorry, I can’t come with you" Julian said apologetically.
Anindya, still shocked, began to lower her head. Julian, seeing this, felt uneasy. He released her grip and began to comfort her.
"Ah! But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about your family and the human traffi—" Julian explained quickly.
"Julian," Anindya interrupted in a low but audible voice.
Julian fell silent. He stopped speaking and looked at Anindya, realizing something in her tone was different—lower, heavier.
"Y-yes?" Julian asked nervously.
Anindya slowly raised her head, and Julian’s eyes widened—to see a sweet smile on her face.
"It’s okay~" Anindya replied cheerfully.
Julian was immediately shocked by the smile. Anindya returned her gaze to the TV.
"Huuuh~, the movie’s almost over~" Anindya said sadly.
Julian could only stare at Anindya with a shocked expression.
"Was this my right choice? Letting the girl who became my girlfriend enter a danger zone alone?" Julian wondered.
"Julian" Anindya called.
Julian suddenly realized.
"Y-yes?" Julian asked.
"That I think about it, I really shouldn’t have involved you... I’m sorry, I suddenly felt selfish. I forgot Mama told me never to involve friends or civilians we know in our missions" Anindya replied, her gaze still fixed on the TV.
"Ah... O-okay" Julian said quietly.
"You know..." Anindya replied.
Anindya turned her head toward Julian.
"... Earlier on the way, I was also attacked by a mysterious assassin" Anindya continued.
Julian was immediately shocked. He immediately grabbed Anindya’s shoulders—startling her.
"What!? What time!? Where were you attacked!? Are any parts of your body injured!?" Julian asked in a panic.
Anindya was slightly startled by Julian’s reaction, then smiled slightly and immediately hugged Julian.
"Kyaa~, Julian, are you worried about me~?" Anindya asked happily, shaking her head against Julian’s chest.
"I-Isn’t it obvious?" Julian asked nervously.
Anindya stopped shaking her head and looked to her right.
"Relax... I’m fine" Anindya replied softly and gently.
"Are you serious?" Julian asked.
"Yeah, besides, I don’t think the assassin can defeat me yet, so he decided to retreat first" Anindya replied.
Julian began stroking Anindya’s head with his right hand.
"Thank goodness you’re not hurt," Julian said softly.
Anindya smiled at the pampering. After 5 minutes of pampering, Anindya moved away from Julian and went back to watching TV.
"Yes, the movie’s over—then let’s watch a drama~" Anindya said happily.
Julian, seeing this, could only smile and stare out the window—where it was still raining.
"Haa... I hope I made the right choice..." Julian thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Pantai Bakti, Bekasi, Dugem Club, At 20:00.
A slender girl with snow-white skin and red eyes, hair was straight and long, reaching her waist, the tips white and the rest bright red. She weighed 70 kg and stood 175 cm tall. She was wearing black leggings, a cropped denim jacket, a plain white cap, a black mouth mask, a pink crop top with a cute chihuahua head, and black vansico boots.
She stood at the club’s entrance—which was guarded by two club bouncers, both muscular and 183 cm tall.
"Have you finished enjoying the night air, Lady Rubymera?" asked the first bouncer guarding the entrance.
"Yes," Rubymera replied coldly.
"Is my older brother here?" Rubymera asked.
"Yes, he’s in the VVIP room—getting his eyes tattoo removed" the first bouncer replied.
"I see, then I’ll go in" Rubymera said.
The two bodyguards immediately made way for Rubymera.
"Go ahead" both bouncers said in unison.
As soon as Rubymera stepped inside, the thumping bass hit her ears. Inside, colorful club lights flashed wildly, sweeping across the room filled with dozens of bodies moving to the beat of the thumping EDM music. Thin smoke from fog machines hung in the air, mingled with the scent of alcohol, expensive perfume, and a hint of e-cigarettes.
Amidst the crowd, patrons laughed loudly, raised glasses, and danced without a care in the world outside—as if the place were a zone free from law and reality.
Rubymera walked slowly through the crowd. Her steps were light, a stark contrast to the boisterous atmosphere around her. Several men glanced at her, some whistling, others whispering in admiration.
"Omg... she’s so pretty and sexy"
"Is she the new Hostess?"
"If that’s true, I’ll book her to accompany me tonight."
"Nice body, Young Lady, *whistle~*"
Rubymera stopped walking, glanced at the men flirting with her, then snapped her right fingers. Immediately, a muscular bouncer, standing 185cm tall, appeared.
"Can I help you, Lady Rubymera?" bouncer asked.
Rubymera pointed her right index finger at the group of men.
"They’re harassing me... Throw them out!" Rubymera replied coldly and firmly.
The five men who had been teasing Rubymera were shocked.
"Yes!" bouncer replied.
Bouncer quickly headed for the table Rubymera had pointed at.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, HAH!?" one of the men shouted, whose right hand was clenched by Bouncer.
"You need to get out of here, sir. You’ve harassed one of our girls!" replied Bouncer with a menacing expression and a heavy tone.
Seeing the commotion, Rubymera arrogantly walked back to the basement—where the VVIP room was located.
"Hmph!, I hate perverted men!" Rubymera muttered coldly.
