My Five Bigshot Seniors: I am The Most Coddled Junior!-Chapter 466 - 146: [First Update]
"What should we do now? The Qilin Tree is gone, how are we supposed to find Geng Geng?" Su Xi asked Rong Ye, staring blankly at the spot where the Qilin Tree once stood.
Rong Ye was taken aback by Su Xi’s words, "I don’t know either."
The two exchanged a glance, each seeing helplessness and frustration in the other’s eyes.
"Geng Geng, she should be okay, right?" Su Xi asked Rong Ye uncertainly.
"No, she definitely will be safe," Rong Ye said with a determined look.
Infected by his confidence, Su Xi’s expression also turned determined. She felt that Gu Qingqing had always been lucky, and the Qilin Tree didn’t seem like it would harm her. This reinforced her belief in their speculation.
...
After several days in the forest, Jun Wu had gathered quite a few things and encountered other sects, even disciples from the Langya Immortal Sect. However, he managed to avoid them and had yet to come across Gu Qingqing and the others, which dampened his spirits.
After another half day of travel, he dealt with a demon beast at the Peak of the Taiyi True Immortal Realm. Just as he was about to find a place to rest, he heard the sounds of a battle nearby. More importantly, he recognized a familiar voice, which brightened his eyes, and he eagerly headed in that direction.
When he arrived, he peeked from behind a tree and saw Nan Hua battling a High-level Golden Immortal Realm Saw-toothed Tiger King. Nan Hua seemed injured, with his left arm hanging awkwardly by his side and scratches on his face and body, some still bleeding.
Seeing Nan Hua in a difficult situation, Jun Wu rushed forward without a second thought.
Nan Hua’s condition was indeed precarious. He had been slightly injured when he encountered the Saw-toothed Tiger King, whose combat prowess was unusually strong, inflicting even more wounds on him.
If the battle continued like this, he could be killed by the Saw-toothed Tiger King.
Therefore, when he saw Jun Wu, he was overjoyed, his previously furrowed brow relaxed, and his lips curved up slightly.
As the Saw-toothed Tiger King’s claws reached for Nan Hua, Jun Wu’s scimitar slashed at the claws, leaving a wound and causing the beast to withdraw its paw and focus on Jun Wu.
"Third Brother, are you okay?" Jun Wu asked, glancing at Nan Hua with concern.
"I’m fine," Nan Hua replied, aware of Jun Wu’s abilities and feeling temporarily relieved. "Lucky to have you here, otherwise things would be bad." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"You go heal yourself first, I’ll handle this," Jun Wu instructed, maneuvering the scimitar against the Saw-toothed Tiger King.
"Alright, be careful. This Saw-toothed Tiger King seems unusually agitated for some reason. Don’t underestimate it," Nan Hua cautioned, withdrawing to meditate and heal.
"Got it." Jun Wu responded, leaps toward the Saw-toothed Tiger King.
After sitting down, Nan Hua reset his arm. Though it still pained him, he could move it slightly, which was reassuring.
He took an elixir, swallowed it, and closed his eyes to begin cultivating to heal his wounds.
Upon exchanging blows with the Saw-toothed Tiger King, Jun Wu realized that it was indeed as fierce as Nan Hua had said, though its mind seemed less sharp, giving Jun Wu opportunities.
The silver scimitar deftly circled the Saw-toothed Tiger King, occasionally leaving a wound on its body. Soon, its white fur was streaked with blood, looking rather unsightly.
"Roar!"
The Saw-toothed Tiger King, furious at its appearance and the blood loss, roared and charged at Jun Wu.
Of course, Jun Wu wouldn’t allow himself to be caught. As the beast lunged, he slid beneath it, and by the time it turned around, he was already charging with his scimitar.
Nan Hua did not spend much time healing, only restoring some of his immortal power before rejoining the battle.
The two worked together against the Saw-toothed Tiger King, with Nan Hua focusing on defense, preventing the beast from reaching them. Its claws could not touch them, while Jun Wu attacked deftly, the silver scimitar striking like lightning, cutting more wounds into the beast.
Fighting alone, either of them would have struggled against the Saw-toothed Tiger King. Working together, however, they found it easy to manage. Their rare teamwork was incredibly effective, quickly adding several serious wounds to the beast.
The scimitar carved a deep slash across the Saw-toothed Tiger King’s back, revealing bone, with numerous other wounds covering its limbs.
Most of these wounds weren’t overly severe, yet they steadily drained its life force. The rapid blood loss slowed its reactions, its mind even more muddled from rage and blood loss, making it no match for Jun Wu and Nan Hua.
Soon, the Saw-toothed Tiger King fell, becoming a lifeless corpse.
"Third Brother, are your injuries okay?" Jun Wu sheathed his scimitar and asked Nan Hua after the beast collapsed.
"I’m alright. Just need some meditation, and despite looking scary, Mu Chen’s medicine will heal me quickly," Nan Hua assessed his injuries accurately, assuring Jun Wu.
"Then go ahead and heal. I’ll stand guard," Jun Wu relaxed a little, seeing Nan Hua’s calm assessment of his injuries.
"Alright, thank you," Nan Hua accepted.
Quickly, Nan Hua sat down cross-legged with an elixir, commencing his healing.
About half an hour later, Nan Hua opened his eyes once more.
