Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Stunning Entrance

Silas Norwood?

The distinguished, handsome man at Eldest Miss Sterling’s side was actually the legendary Silas Norwood, the cold and unapproachable head of the Norwood Conglomerate from Metropia?

Adeline Lowell was momentarily stunned, but she kept a calm expression. Quickly composing herself, she turned to Silas Norwood.

"So Chairman Norwood is as handsome as the legends say. No wonder The Capital Circle is buzzing with rumors about you. The refreshments are ready. Chairman Norwood, please, come in."

With his arm around Celia Sterling’s waist, Silas Norwood said coolly, "Would I have the honor of sitting in on a class with my girlfriend?"

’So he’s here to attend class with his girlfriend.’

Understanding his purpose, Adeline Lowell hesitated for a moment before replying, "Ordinarily, the Lowell Family’s private lectures aren’t open to outsiders. But since Chairman Norwood is an honored guest, it is, of course, no problem."

Silas Norwood gave a slight nod, his words polite. "Thank you for your trouble."

Adeline Lowell personally led the pair into the courtyard. The perfumers who were still watching on were all struck with awe at the sight of a man as refined and elegant as Silas Norwood. Several gasps of "Holy shit!" could be heard from different corners. Silas Norwood paid them no mind, his gaze fixed forward as he gracefully and coolly guided his girlfriend toward the inner hall. Adeline Lowell intentionally kept half a step behind him, her expression serious as she quietly explained the villa’s layout and some key points about The Fragrance Gala.

"Who is that? To be personally received by President Lowell herself?" one of the perfumers finally couldn’t help but mutter.

Everyone here was worldly and highly accomplished. Under normal circumstances, very few things could pique the interest of these Fragrance Masters. But Silas Norwood, who wore the most dazzling halo even within The Capital Circle of Metropia, could hardly be considered a normal circumstance.

"I have no idea who he is, but look at his clothes. That’s all handmade by that legendary master from Valoria. You couldn’t get that for less than a few million. And look at his bearing—even President Lowell has to yield to his presence. I don’t know his status, but I’m afraid it’s even higher than President Lowell’s..."

"Keep it down. You don’t want to accidentally offend him. Didn’t you see those well-trained, professional bodyguards following him? With an entourage like that, there’s no way his status is simple."

...

In a corner, a perfumer from Charles Hale was still trying to persuade Eldest Young Master Warren, who was stubbornly refusing to leave the hall.

"Chairman Sterling threw those candid photos you took right in front of our chairman. The chairman is furious and has ordered you to return to Seraphina immediately. Besides, you being here is keeping me from being able to focus and learn."

"I’m not going back. Forget about Kian Sterling for now. I still have an important mission to find Rivermoon’s father. Today’s the last day, so I have to stick it out no matter what."

Eldest Young Master Warren was thoroughly dejected. He hadn’t managed to get a single decent photo with Kian Sterling and had even gotten a stern warning from his father. In the end, his only consolation was a picture he took with his idol’s sports car. As for the main purpose of his trip to Seraphina, he was completely clueless. He continued to pester the great Rivermoon in the group chat every day. Eventually, Rivermoon went silent, but his constant spamming annoyed the other members so much that several of them left the group.

The only method he could think of was to come here and try to catch them in person. After lying in wait for half the day, not only had he not seen anyone who might be Rivermoon, he hadn’t even spotted anyone who might be his wife.

Utterly dejected, he then saw Silas Norwood arrive with his arm around Celia Sterling.

Compared to the ’poor, inexperienced, and naive’ pretty boy from the cruise ship, the Silas Norwood he saw today was a world apart. Mature, composed, and exuding an air of nobility, he radiated the undisguised, oppressive aura of someone in power. Warren couldn’t reconcile this man with the freeloader he’d seen on the ship.

What was even more shocking was seeing Celia Sterling by his side.

This pretty girl had been getting cozy with Kian Sterling just last night, yet this morning, she had someone new by her side and was being just as shamelessly affectionate...

’She’s already hooked Kian Sterling, but she still hasn’t broken up with this guy.’ Eldest Young Master Warren felt a complex mix of emotions as he imagined the massive green hat Kian Sterling was now wearing. He surreptitiously snapped a photo, frowning in thought. ’When I arrived, President Lowell just had her butler bring me a cup of tea as a token gesture. But this Norwood fellow puts on such a grand show that he gets President Lowell to greet him personally...’

The perfumer from Charles Hale looked at his "crown prince." "You’re not usually this catty..."

Eldest Young Master Warren stared thoughtfully at Silas Norwood. "I don’t know why, but every time I see this guy, I feel like our vibes just don’t match."

However, no one cared about Eldest Young Master Warren’s clashing vibes.

Celia Sterling gently tugged on Silas Norwood’s sleeve. "Silas, you have good taste. Help me keep an eye out for the most beautiful women here."

Silas Norwood looked down, giving her a deep look. "Looking for the most beautiful women in front of your girlfriend? That doesn’t sound like something a boyfriend should be doing."

"I’m mainly trying to find that big shot’s wife. I heard she’s the most beautiful woman here," Celia said softly. "You’ve seen plenty of beauties. From a man’s perspective, could you point out a few main suspects for me? Then I’ll go test my theories on them one by one."

Silas Norwood paused, activating his male survival instinct. "I haven’t seen any beauties, other than Cece."

Celia: "...Never mind. I’ll figure it out myself."

Off to the side, Adeline Lowell quietly observed Celia Sterling and Silas Norwood. She never expected that this "God of Slaughter" from the financial world, famous in The Capital Circle for his cold and distant demeanor, would be so down-to-earth with his girlfriend. She led the pair to the spot where yesterday’s lecture was held. Everyone was already present.

"Miss Sterling, you can sit in the same spot as yesterday. As for Chairman Norwood, should I arrange a seat for you beside Miss Sterling, or...?"

Silas Norwood casually pointed to a corner near the door. "I don’t know much about this subject. I’ll just sit here and keep her company, so I don’t disturb her during the lecture."

An elegant, carved table and chair set made of Huanghuali wood was quickly brought out. Adeline Lowell sat to the side, personally brewing tea to keep him company.

The two made small talk about high-society matters in Port Sovereign’s business circles, but most of the time, Silas Norwood’s attention was on Celia Sterling. The moment Celia stepped into the room, she went completely off the grid. Her focus was entirely on the lecture given by the dozen or so senior perfumers. She would occasionally look down to scribble notes, and for nearly an hour, she didn’t so much as glance back in Silas’s direction.

’His girlfriend,’ Silas Norwood thought, ’was so immersed she had probably forgotten she’d even brought a boyfriend along.’

But he didn’t feel the slightest bit neglected. He simply kept a low profile to the side, his gaze gentle and focused as he watched her. Adeline Lowell signaled for an assistant to bring a cup of tea to Celia Sterling and struck up a casual conversation with Silas.

"We don’t usually pay much attention to matters in The Capital Circle. I certainly didn’t expect the Sterling and Norwood families to be joined by marriage."

Silas Norwood gave a noncommittal hum. "The Norwood Family will announce it on our official website next week."

"Chairman Norwood and Miss Sterling are quite a good match. Has a wedding date been set? When the time comes, I’ll be sure to send a wedding gift on behalf of the Lowell Family."

Silas Norwood nodded. "The wedding is in less than two months. I’ll personally deliver an invitation to President Lowell."

Adeline Lowell could clearly sense that the topic of the wedding date brought this normally cold man a great deal of pleasure. Marriages between powerful families were often just a formality; it was rare to see someone as genuinely happy about it as he was.

Just as she was thinking this, the butler approached again.

Adeline Lowell asked in a low voice, "What is it?"
