Chapter 736

Anton learned that the reason why the forest elves scheduled the Cosplay party, aka Masque Ball, even before he let them see the three Hobbit prequel films, was so they would have the time to prepare their costumes. Enoril told him that the elves took this kind of challenge seriously and would make sure that their costumes would be the best.

Still, Anton was a little grateful that the forest elves were patient with him and were not urging him to let them see the Lord of the Rings prequel films as soon as possible. The forest elves formed into smaller groups and began discussing what costumes they were planning to create. Apparently, it was to make sure that they could avoid similarities, which Anton thought impossible given that they had only seen a limited number of films.

Fortunately, Anton did not have to think about what costume to wear since he still had the costumes that he wore during the first few Cosplay events that were held in this world, courtesy of his friends. At first, he was a little hesitant about wearing them, given that his friends on the ship who were with him during the Cosplay event had all died; he thought that the accompanying trauma would trigger a severe emotional response from him for just seeing the costumes, but when he inspected it, he felt none of the feelings that he was expecting to feel. More than likely, it was because the costume looked like the ones the movie characters wore, and he had been seeing the movies a lot lately. He also thought that it was because Anton was not present when the Cosplay costumes were made, and was just given to him already completed.

Even before the party that night ended, Anton was urged by the six elves who would guide him in exploring the surrounding area the next day to go home, prepare, and rest. They planned to leave early, even before the sun rose.

Unfortunately, Nemerielle and Andevon were warned by the others not to accompany Anton that night to make sure that he was fully rested before their adventure the next day.

At around four in the morning, Enoril woke him up to accompany him to Darodil to retrieve the small house. Apparently, the elf wanted to inform him about something important, but would do so after they had retrieved the tiny house. Once the house was stored in Anton’s inventory, Anton turned to Enoril.

“We’ve received a report of a newly hatched dungeon to the east. It already had four floors when it was discovered. We’ve decided to gift it to you as thanks for sharing your wonderful movies. You will need to close it today, though, since if we allow it continue existing, it would continue to grow. We don’t want a deep dungeon near our kingdom,” Enoril said.

When Anton asked why not, since Ormunda had several dungeons inside their kingdom, Enoril said that the forest elves simply did not have the resources to guard such a dungeon twenty-four seven, since if a dungeon was inside a kingdom, it needed to be guarded at all times.

Enoril told him that the forest elves owned several deep dungeons, but they were far away from their kingdom. All dungeons that grew nearby would be closed immediately.

Dungeon cores, even newly born ones, were extremely valuable, and Anton appreciated the fact that the forest elves truly valued the movies to give him one.

It all meant that his exploration plan needed to be put on hold. Enoril told him that the six elves who planned to guide him were already informed about the situation. The one who would accompany him to the dungeon would be Enoril and Leldorin.

Leldorin was already waiting for them at the gates. The moment Anton and Enoril joined Leldorin, the two elves immediately started running towards where the newly born dungeon was located. Anton followed them, but instead of running, he flew using his Telekinesis spell. Even with his vaunted physical stats, Anton could simply not compare to the forest elves' agile movement inside the forest, even though the two looked chubby because of the thick furs they were wearing against the cold.

While they were moving, Anton asked the two elves about the newly born dungeon.

“Does it mean that the dungeon would be easy to conquer due to it being very young?” Anton asked.

Thankfully, the forest elves knew that even though Anton was a powerful Supreme Rank wizard, he was extremely young, and that meant that his knowledge was not yet profound, so they simply answered Anton’s question.

“No. People could determine how many floors a dungeon has by simply touching the entrance, and it would indicate how old it was, but regarding its difficulty, it would only be known once someone entered it and fought the monsters inside. Normally, before gifting a dungeon to someone, we would inspect the dungeon first, but since you’re a very powerful wizard, we determined that you can handle anything inside. Leldorin and I would accompany you inside. Even though we’re just merchants, we're still capable spellcasters,” Enoril said.

“Why do you need to join me?” Anton asked.

“The queen commanded it. She wanted to make sure that you’re safe since we all still wanted to watch the Lord of the Rings prequel films,” Leldorin simply said, and Anton just laughed.

“You two know my wizardly rank, so please don’t join in with the fight. I may not be fighting as well and would just allow my summons to conquer the dungeon,” Anton told the two forest elves.

The three finally reached the dungeon after two hours of traveling. Anton learned that anything within five hours of traveling distance from the forest elves’ kingdom was considered nearby. Considering that Enoril and Leldorin were running nonstop during their travel, that meant that the dungeon was farther than the actual two hours they had spent in the journey.

They rested for a few minutes, then entered the dungeon without further delay. Anton, Leldorin, and Enoril stumbled into what looked like a dead city filled with gloom. Based on Anton’s experience, there was a good chance that the type of monsters they would encounter would be undead. Anton saw that Enoril and Leldorin looked grim, and he understood. Dungeon floors with an undead theme were usually extremely difficult floors.

The three encountered the first monsters in a street intersection in the dead city. There were only two monsters, but Leldorin and Enoril both gasped in horror. Both monsters were emitting extremely powerful auras. One of them was an Arch Lich, and the other was a Death Knight.

“Both of you, run back toward the entrance and exit the dungeon. You will not survive if you continue to stay in here. I’ll be fine here alone. I’ve easily conquered the 65th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon in Ormunda,” Anton told Leldorin and Enoril, who immediately ran back without delay.

It was an exaggerated statement, but he was more powerful compared to back then when he reached the 65th floor of the high-level dungeon.

Anton summoned all of his summons, cast all of his defensive buffs, making sure that all the special effects were visible, and commanded all of his summons to attack the two powerful undead beings. He wanted to make sure that the two’s attention was on him so that Enoril and Leldorin could escape.

Thankfully, it worked. The Arch Lich and the Death Knight focused on him and ignored the two forest elves that were retreating. Anton just sighed when he saw the lich and the knight both summon minions. The lich summoned an army of low-level undead, and the knight summoned a company of undead knights.
