My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 724
Chapter 724
Enoril and Leldorin arrived at Anton’s guest house at around six in the evening. They planned to bring him somewhere to eat before going to the place where they would watch the 3d version of the first film in the Avatar franchise. Anton saw that Enoril and Leldorin were excited to watch the film again, even though they had just seen it a few days ago. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
“We’re intrigued to watch the film again with the mode that you’ve described. It would seem that it would be a brand new experience,” Enoril said.
Anton was sure that it was just a part of it. He knew that the six elves who had seen the Avatar films while they were in the Brownie village were also excited that their family and friends would enjoy the same thing that they had enjoyed. He could understand that since that was the reason why movie reaction videos were extremely popular on the most famous streaming website on Earth.
Enoril and Leldorin brought him to where the breakfast buffet was prepared, but this time, the buffet consisted of the meals that were usually served for dinner.
“I’ve heard from Enoril and some of my friends who were in the tavern last night that you’re also a bard. You’re an unusually talented human, Anton. You’ve reached an extremely high-rank in wizardry, and you still had the time to develop your musical talents,” Lendoril said.
“I consider myself just an average singer. The only reason a lot of people appreciated my singing was because of the songs I’ve sung, which came from the dimension where the movies came from. That dimension truly elevated their arts to a very high standard,” Anton told the two forest elves.
Anton still appreciated the fact that the forest elves did not just eat what he considered rabbit food. Most of the dishes were still vegetarian, but there were some meat dishes as well. The only reason why the food was primarily vegetables and fruits was that they were more available inside the forest.
The three did not linger at the dinner table and went to the building where the movie would be shown. It was a large structure that Enoril said was usually used for public meetings. The elves did a very good job in converting the building into a stylish cinema. The chairs were all beautifully crafted, and even though Anton had not used them yet, he knew that just like the furniture inside the guest house where he was staying, they would be incredibly comfortable. The wall where the screen would be shown was covered in a very pristine white cloth. There were a couple of beautiful female forest elves handing out 3d glasses by the door.
There was no fireplace, but some sort of magic items that emitted heat. It made the whole place extremely comfortable. Enoril told Anton that Leldorin spearheaded the project of making sure that the makeshift cinema would have the best quality. The elf wanted to make sure that when they watched the film, they would have the best experience.
Enoril whispered to him that Leldorin’s enthusiasm was backed up by some sort of local politics. Anton did not try to learn more since he was not interested in such things.
The building was huge, and the screen that they would be using was very large. Anton thought that it was as large as a regular cinema screen back on Earth. The distance of the screen to the chairs was appropriate, allowing those who would choose to sit in the first row to watch the film in comfort. He knew that those first few rows would be reserved for the most important forest elves.
Enoril said that even though a lot of the forest elves doubted Leldorin and the others' claim that the movies were some sort of revolutionary form of art from another dimension, there were still a lot of doubters, but every elf who was free would still watch it, since it was something new.
Anton inspected the 3d glasses that were handed to him. It was beautifully crafted, like a piece of art. What impressed him more was that there was more than one design variation. He did not even know how many variations there were. The fact that the forest elves created these glasses within a few hours was truly awe-inspiring. He even thought that if these glasses were brought to Earth, they would bring a new fashion revolution.
Enoril led Anton to a special seat that was given to him by the side, since they thought that he needed to be somewhere near the screen to be able to cast his spell for the elves to watch the film. He would have insisted that he could cast his spell anywhere, but the seat would allow him to view the faces of the audience members, and Anton still wanted to record everyone’s reaction. He would just use a mini globe of browser sharing to show the movie, and kept using the original globe since that was the one that could turn invisible. Enoril stayed by his side and pointed out the most important elves who were entering the venue. The most attention grabbing where the queen and king of their kingdom. The highest nobles' presence commanded attention, especially the queen. She was as beautiful as Galadriel from the Lord of the Rings movies.
Enoril whispered to Anton the names of the most important elves, but he was afraid that he did not manage to retain any of them. The names were a little complicated, and his attention was on watching the elves’ appearance. No one could fault Anton since the elves were truly a beautiful race.
Once everyone was seated, Leldorin went to the front and introduced the concept of movies to everyone. He also gave a brief explanation of what 3d was and the need for the glasses. The elf copied Anton’s explanation verbatim since Leldorin did not truly know what 3d was. After that, Leldorin went to his chair, and once he was seated, everyone started wearing their 3d glasses. Leldorin nodded to Anton, so he started the film. Thankfully, he was experienced enough that he successfully adjusted the screen and volume in a few seconds.
When the movie started, silence reigned supreme among the elves. Everyone was focused on the screen. They were seeing the lives of humans in a futuristic setting where there was no magic and no other races, but the technology was something to behold.
Anton heard gasps when the elves saw the massive spaceships that the characters would be using to travel to another planet. During the film, Anton saw the elves keep reaching out in front of them, trying to touch what they were seeing. He knew that it was the effect of the 3d version of the film. Unfortunately, because of the glasses, Anton could not see the forest elves' full reactions.
During the most intense fight scenes, just like before, everyone could not help but stand up. There was still a sense that the elves wanted to jump inside the screen to help the protagonists with their battle.
Anton could see that a lot of the elves still cried in some of the scenes because of the tears that were flowing out from underneath the glasses. Because of that, Anton knew that the movie was a success. Not that he doubted it, since he had already seen the intense reaction of the Leldorin and the others when they watched the film when they were in the Brownie’s village, and that was not the 3d version.
