Chapter 689

Anton observed his father fighting the dungeon monsters with all of his summons supporting Anders. Anton’s father’s face was full of glee and savagery. The man was truly enjoying hitting the monsters’ faces with his Blessed Hammer as if his father was not only hitting monsters but everything that was against them that they had encountered in their lives.

He understood this, as that was what Anton felt whenever he was in the midst of a battle against multitudes of enemies. The difference was that, due to his Diablo System, Anton was accustomed to battling hordes of monsters.

Anton knew that he had been overly generous ever since he transmigrated to this world. He treated his new family well, to the point that some might say that he was being taken advantage of. He accepted that simply because that was what his character was. When his parents on Earth was alive, he was not much help to them and now with this new family in this new world, he vowed that he would do everything he could to make sure that his body’s father and sister stay alive, to the point that he was willing to give everything to make sure that they would have the power to thrive.

Besides, he was not some selfish Korean web novel protagonist who hates everything in the world. He was just a kid who, Anton admitted, was an overpleaser. Probably because he was insecure about not being liked.

The only defense Anton could give was that he was young and that there would come a time in the future when he would separate from his family. When that time came, he would be confident to say that his father and his sister were powerful beings who would be able to thrive on their own in this chaotic world.

By the time evening arrived, Anton could see that his father was mentally exhausted. He knew that with the Vigor Aura, they were physically fine, but the mental fatigue that came from battling monsters nonstop was something they could not ignore.

He told his father that it was time for rest. They set up camp and made sure that all of the summons would be guarding them so they could rest easy. With magic items that assisted sleep, like Anton’s Pearl of the Ocean and Anders’s magic coral that Anton gave him, they should be able to have a full rest in just a few hours.

After a whole day of battling monsters, Anders’s Paladin class leveled up three times, and that truly exhilarated Anders. The food that they ate was the best since Anton had been collecting some of the best food that could be in whichever kingdom he happened to be in.

When they woke up in just around four hours, they continued the delve. Since Anton was not doing anything but was just following his father and his summons, he thought that they did not need the Dire Bear, so he commandeered it as his mount and entered his Diablo System while they were on the move. Since the only thing he could do for now was to hunt gears inside the game, Anton got bored and decided to watch anime instead.

The whole delve took them four full days. Even though the battle with the group of monsters was not that long, Anders was fully committed to gathering all the quest items to increase his adventurer’s rank from the monsters. Apparently, the rank increase was truly beneficial for adventurer teams such as his father’s.

By the time they had completed the delve twice, they had gathered eight high-level mana stones. The mana stones below were sold to the Adventurer Guild, and they managed to earn 350,000 gold coins. At first, Anton wanted his father to get half the gold coins, but Anders insisted that he keep everything since his father could earn his own gold coins on delving alone or with his team. All of the magic items they gathered were kept by Anton’s father, since Anton did not care about them.

When they entered the suites in the hotel where Anders’s men were staying, everyone was excited about the items that Anders brought out. Technically, all of the items were considered high-level items since they came from the 50th floor of a high-level dungeon. Anton left them be and told his father that he would be returning to the manor to rest. Anders simply nodded, so Anton left.

Upon arriving at the manor, Anton headed directly to his room to take a bath. He remembered to cast his Blizzard spell, turning it into Mana Rain, over the whole manor. When he exited the bathroom, Raymond was waiting for him with lunch.

While eating, the butler informed him that Luna and Alfred wanted the next episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, so he simply gave them to Raymond to give to the siblings.

During the next few weeks, Anton would delve into the 50th floor of the high-level dungeon at least once every two weeks with his father, which became their bonding time. The funny part was, all the work was being done by Anders and his summons. Anders admitted that without his summons, he would not have been able to survive the attack of the monsters. The fight did give Anton’s father the confidence that Anders' team could delve into the deeper floors. They were now entering the 20th level floor of the Corridors of Amuneta, and Anders’s team was now considered an elite group of adventurers. Anton now had 1.4 million coins and 43 high-level mana stones in his inventory.

Whenever Anton was not in the dungeon, he spent his time with Luna and her friends, watching romantic comedy movies, or with Alfred and his friends, watching animated films. He knew that Luna and Alfred were becoming very proud since they were the only ones who could watch movies that were not being shown anywhere else.

Finally, the major update on his Diablo System arrived. He told his father that a major change had happened to his bloodline magic and that he would need to concentrate on that, which meant that he would need to isolate himself in his room for the majority of the day.

Before he closed himself off, Anton waited for his sister to arrive. Apparently, for the first week, his sister’s three classmates would be coming to visit. That meant that Anton could not close himself off yet since he had promised Anna that he would entertain her and her classmates by watching movies with them.

The moment Anna and her three classmates arrived, the whole manor became extremely lively. Anton saw that Luna and Alfred were nervous. Everyone considered the siblings as the prince and princess of the manor, but now the true princess had arrived. Of course, Anna, just like Anton, did not think of herself that way since their little family grew up among commoners.

To the siblings' relief, Anna hugged them and treated them well. Once Anna’s classmates were escorted to the rooms assigned to them, Anton, Anna, and Anders went to Anders’s office.

“Why are we meeting alone here?” Anna asked.

“Remember that I told you we have a huge surprise for you? As you may have noticed, Father became extremely powerful recently. It’s because my bloodline magic now allows me to bestow a class to someone else twice a year. Remember when I explained my bloodline magic to you?”

“I had forgotten the details, but you have the power of six or seven unique classes. I think.”

“It’s seven. Now I can bestow one of them on you.”

Anna became extremely excited. Anders handed the notes that Anton had prepared before. It consisted of the details of each of the seven classes from the Diablo II game.
