My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 672
Chapter 672
The next day, Anton woke up early, even though he had slept around three in the morning. In his opinion, the Pearl of the Ocean was one of the most important magic items in his possession, even though one could purchase similar magic items anywhere. The fact was, aside from its function, it was a gift from the Blue Whales and the Pink dolphins. He truly hoped that his ocean friends were doing fine.
When he went outside his room, he saw that Kirk and the others were already there memorizing their spells. Anton remembered they had started memorizing their fourth novice spell. They had only been practicing magic for a few days, but Anton did not know the standard time a wizard could memorize a specific number of beginner spells. Before, he would ask Frederick, his and Anna’s first magic tutor, who had become part of the family. Unfortunately, like so many others, he was one of the ones who perished in the sinking of the Amelia.
The table in the suite that they were using for dining was already filled with breakfast, so Anton started eating. Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar were already done and were taking advantage of the time that Anton was still in the suite to memorize their spells. Unfortunately for them, they were not his priority during his vacation, so he did not care that they were without his Meditation aura every time he went out. They should be thankful that Anton was not requiring them to guide him, which was their initial job.
If Anton was being honest, if he was not going into the plazas where the performers were, he would have dragged them to guide him in exploring the kingdom. New Drennor was simply too huge, and without a guide, Anton would have spent a huge amount of time lost in its streets.
“Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, Omar, come here. I need to talk to you,” Anton told the four youths turned wizards.
They all sat at the dining table waiting for Anton to speak.
“Since today and tomorrow are my last vacation days, I’ve decided to bring you to our family’s manor in New Drennor today. Do you need time to talk to your family or something? It will probably be a while before you can return to this kingdom,” Anton told the four young men.
“No need. When we said goodbye, it was understood that the was the last time we would see them. Our older siblings were the same. It had been years since we last saw them. If we go back, they will just worry that you threw us out,” Kirk said.
“How long is the journey going to be?” Mesono asked.
“Are we going to encounter a lot of undead? According to some of our friends, the roads are extremely dangerous right now since they’re full of undead monsters!” Omar added.
“Didn’t I tell you? We’re not using the road but use a portal instead,” Anton replied.
“What is a portal? You did mention it, but I thought it was some kind of magical carriage or something,” Mesono asked, and Anton realized that the four needed further education.
“It’s a spell that allows me to summon a magical doorway that will let us travel to Ormunda in seconds. It’s a family secret, so if you tell anyone, I have no choice but to kill you,” Anton said.
Of course, it was a joke, but looking at the four young men’s expressions, they probably took it seriously. It really did not matter since Anton would really prefer that they keep it to themselves.
“We’re ready, and we promise not to tell anyone your magical gateway. Besides, we don’t know anyone in New Drennor,” Kirk said.
“Okay. When you arrive at the manor, you will have to remember that the family head is my father. His name is Anders Sunder, and he’s a very powerful warrior who could delve into a high-level dungeon solo. Right now, he’s busy delving into the dungeon to increase his powers, so you’ll probably not meet him a lot. My sister is in one of the magic academies in Ormunda. You will have to follow the instructions of Raymond Jenkins, the family butler. He will teach you all who the members of the family and who you should follow. He’s also going to be the one hiring a tutor for you four. He’s also going to be the one handling your allowance or something,” Anton said.
“Are we going to receive coins as well?! I thought you’d just provide us magical resources,” Omar tactlessly asked.
Anton rolled his eyes.
“I’m not a monster. Of course, you’re going to receive some coin allowance, but I’ll let the butler handle that since he’s the one handling all the pay that the manor employees receive. You know what, let’s just go now, so Raymond can start handling the four of you,” Anton said. Then they heard a knock on the door.
When Omar opened the door, it was Ishmael.
“There are three kids here saying that you hired them to guide you,” the innkeeper said.
“You hired other guides?! But we’re supposed to guide you,” Kirk exclaimed.
“They’re artists themselves, and they were introducing me to facts about the different acts in the performer plazas. They know all the details since they’re insider,” Anton simply replied to Kirk.
“Can you tell them to leave? I’m busy and would only go to the performer plaza in the afternoon. Please give these coins to them. Also, please sign out Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar from their suite. They will be leaving today to go home to my family manor,” Anton told the innkeeper, and then handed Ishmael three gold coins.
“Do you have anything to get from your rooms?” Anton asked the four guys who said that all their belongings were inside the storage rings that he had purchased for them.
Ishmael then left to hand the coins to Rhonda, Misul, and Zelot.
After the innkeeper had left, Anton asked the guys to follow him to his room. Since the bathroom was too small for all of them, he just used the scroll of the town portal in the middle of his room, and the glowing blue portal appeared.
Kirk and the others’ eyes grew wide while looking at the magical portal.
“Where does it lead to?” Kirk asked. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
“To my room in the Rose Manor in Ormunda,” Anton answered.
“Can just anybody enter?” Mesono asked.
“No. Only those people I allowed would be able to use the portal.”
Anton entered first, and after a few seconds, Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar followed. Anton laughed when he saw that Omar’s eyes were closed.
Anton then cast the Blizzard spell, turned into Mana Rain to summon Raymond, and as expected, the butler arrived after a few minutes carrying a tray full of breakfast.
“I’ve already eaten, Raymond,” Anton said, and the butler just nodded and placed the tray on the table on the balcony.
He introduced Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar to Raymond and told him the contract they had with the family. He also asked the butler to hire a magic tutor for the four and to give them a coin allowance that was equal to their status as four novice mages. He did not forget to mention that Raymond should consider the fact that the manor would be providing all the resources that the four would need to grow as wizards, so that should also reflect in their pay.
“I don’t know how to handle such a thing,” Anton told Raymond.
“You don’t need to worry, Anton. I know what to do,” Raymond assuaged Anton’s worries.
Anton was simply grateful that he had hired an extremely competent butler.
