Chapter 635

In hindsight, Anton could understand his father’s excitement about getting the Paladin’s Fist of Heaven skill. It was a mighty spell that could greatly damage the undead, and for some reason, his Diablo II system made it so that it could also greatly heal allies. He remembered that in Anton’s previous world, the developers of the game changed it so that the Fist of Heaven spell could only damage and not heal, supposedly for “balance,” but now, it reverted to how it was back in the old school Diablo II.

Anton had not personally tested the skill because he never needed to. His Prayer aura was enough for his healing needs, and he had other, more powerful offensive spells.

“I’m guessing that the Fist of Heaven skill would be a mighty skill to behold!” Anders said.

“Well, if you want to check it out, I can cast it for you,” Anton told his father.

Since they were still inside the dungeon, Anton immediately cast the Fist of Heaven spell. A powerful bolt appeared from the sky and landed at the place where Anton was pointing, then an explosion appeared. Several tens of Holy Bolts blasted out from the area where the bolt exploded.

“I’m right! The spell looked extremely godly!” Anders exclaimed.

After that, they left the dungeon and went to the room in the high-class hotel near the dungeon’s entrance. A couple of men were inside the room, guarding the portal. Anders talked to them for a few minutes, and when Anton’s father was done, they both entered the portal to return home.

It was still very early when they arrived at the manor. Anton and Anders freshened up, and after that, they met in one of the manor’s salons overlooking the garden. While they were eating breakfast, Anton cast his Mana Rain spell towards the garden and the orchard, and father and son talked about Anders’s experience in using his Paladin’s skills against the monsters.

“I truly feel powerful, son! With my legendary mace in my right hand, a shield in my left, which I’m now learning to wield properly, and the legendary spear in my back that allowed me to cast my skills non-stop, I felt like I could defeat any monsters!” Anders exclaimed excitedly, looking like a teenager instead of the middle-aged man that he was.

Anton’s father did look young because of the long-term use of mana water.

“I’ll try my best to give you powerful items, Father. Unfortunately, I can only have 21 legendary items per year,” Anton told Anders.

Anton could only transfer an item once a character reached the maximum level during the ladder season, and he could only create three sets of seven characters per season.

“You can craft these legendary items 21 times per year?!” Anders shouted.

Anton simply nodded and showed his father the items that he had already transferred from the game to the real world, like his “Shako”, Stone of Jordan rings, and everything else. Anders' eyes gleamed while looking at the different, powerful legendary items that Anton was currently wielding.

“So that’s one of the reasons why you can solo the deep floors of the high-level dungeon,” Anders said softly while examining Anton’s items.

“That’s part of it. I have a lot more things that were going on in my bloodline magic that let me become extremely powerful, that is going to be very hard to explain,” Anton said.

“I’m too excited. I decided to return to the dungeon this afternoon to delve solo. You don’t need to worry too much, Son. I know what I’m doing and would make sure that my safety is my number one priority,” Anders assured Anton, and he just nodded.

Anton understood his father’s excitement, and if he were in his father’s shoes, he would probably do the same.

After eating, Anders left to rest a bit and then prepare for delving the dungeon solo this afternoon, while Anton went to his room to continue leveling up his ladder Sorceress. He stopped when noon arrived and joined the family for lunch.

Luna and Alfred told Anton that they sold off some of the tablets that summon tiny spirit wolves and tiny ravens. They made sure to only sell them to their friends, and now, they were the envy of every youth in their area.

“Everyone loved the mini wolves and mini birds! They don’t smell and they don’t poop!” Alfred said with a full mouth.

“Eew, stop talking while your mouth is full! Alfred is right, though. My Minuet and Flute are very obedient and even smell good once I put flowers from the garden on them,” Luna said.

Based on the context, Minuet and Flute would be her tiny spirit wolf and tiny raven.

“What about you, Alfred? What are your wolf and raven’s names?” Anton asked the kid.

“Wolfie and Birdie!” Alfred shouted, and all the people at the table laughed.

Luna then requested the next episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Anton simply gave it to her.

After lunch, Anders said goodbye and entered the portal that led to the hotel near the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon. Anton’s father said that he would focus on soloing the dungeon, and his vice-captains would handle his team.

“Just remember not to overextend himself and make sure that you’re safe!” Anton said to his father.

‘Hey! I’m the parent here. I should be the one saying that to you, not you to me,” Anders murmured.

Anton hugged his father, and Anders entered the portal. Anton then returned to his room to continue leveling up his ladder Sorceress, but had to stop after an hour since Raymond arrived with news that someone from the Special Forces training office had arrived.

The butler led Anton to one of the manor’s many salons, where he led the guest from the Special Forces training facility was staying.

“Good Afternoon, Mr. Sunder. My name is Captain Rogers, and I’m here to inform you of what Ormunda would do next regarding the Undead Coalition. I must say, your manor is extremely beautiful and the smell of your garden is heavenly. It must be quite relaxing staying here at your home,” the officer from the Special Forces office said.

While Captain Rogers was saying his platitudes regarding the manor, laughter suddenly came from the garden. Anders and the captain then saw Luna, Laloniah, and several human and elven girls walking through the garden. All of the girls looked extremely beautiful. They were like flowers incarnate frolicking in the garden. The captain’s eye grew wide while looking at the beautiful scenery caused by the presence of the girls in the garden surrounded by flowers.

Anton could understand the Captain’s reaction. Captain Rogers looked young, probably in his early twenties, and no one could deny that the scenery in the garden was a sight one could not forget. The girls were wearing beautiful dresses that rivaled the flowers in their beauty, and Anton could see that their dresses were inspired by the flowers themselves.

The captain’s stare was interrupted by Ms. Noria, who arrived to serve some pastries, wine, and fruit juices. The captain blushed, but thankfully, the man was disciplined enough not to ask about the girls, but continued with his business in finding Anton.

“The reason I’m here is because Ormunda’s army would head next to the village of Elliot, which was one of the villages between Mendoza and New Drennor. I’m sad to announce that Mendoza has completely fallen into the hands of the Undead Coalition. They did not waste any time and started to form their undead army, and based on our spies, their next target was New Drennor.”

Anton was shocked at how fast and decisive the Undead Coalition was, unlike the procrastination habit that Mendoza had during the last few weeks, which caused its downfall.
