My Fated Mate Can Have Her-Chapter 210: Intimate Dancing
Violet
But the crowd around the platform didn’t seem to find anything strange at all with how they were dancing. They watched with appreciation, some swaying slightly to the strange music that sounded slow and upbeat at the same time.
A lot of wolves tossed coins into wooden boxes placed near the edge of the stage and there were two wolves monitoring it.
I couldn’t look away.
The woman stepped backward, and the man followed, his hand sliding up her spine. She arched into the touch, her head falling back to expose the line of her throat. He dipped his head toward her neck, not quite touching, and I felt my breath catch.
Then he spun her outward, their fingers still linked even with their other arms extended. She twirled once, twice, and a few more times, and the red fabric of her dress flared beautifully around her legs.
When he pulled her back into his embrace, she collided with his chest, one hand landing over his heart while his arm wrapped around her waist.
They stood there for a moment, breathing hard, eyes locked on each other.
The music swelled, and they began to move again.
I watched the way their legs intertwined with each step. The way her hand slid up his chest to rest on his shoulder. The way his fingers splayed across her lower back, guiding her movements with subtle pressure.
It felt like every step they were taking, and every move they were making was telling a story.
’That sounds ridiculous. Just what exactly am I looking at?’
It was oddly scandalous, but was also the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
"Strange..." Rowan mumbled beside me and I startled slightly. I had almost forgotten he was right beside me. He was also staring transfixed at the dancers. "It’s very similar to a dance from my territory."
"You have dances like this?" I asked him.
"Somewhat. The steps are different. The rhythm too. But the... feeling is the same. Ours is slower."
On the platform, the man dipped the woman low, supporting her weight with one arm while her back arched toward the ground. Her hair brushed the stage floor, but her hand gripped his shoulder, trusting him completely.
Then he pulled her up in one fluid motion, and they were chest to chest again, breathing together.
"It’s beautiful," I heard myself say.
Rowan glanced at me. "It is."
I felt his gaze on my face and quickly looked away, focusing on the dancers again.
The music was building toward something. The movements grew faster, more intense. The woman’s leg hooked around the man’s hip as he turned them both, and I felt my cheeks burn even hotter.
How could they do this in front of so many people?
I was still surprised to see something so intimate being made into a performance or I was just being crazy.
And yet... there was something pure about it too in a way that felt like no movement was wasted. Every touch, every step, and every look carried meaning.
The music reached its peak.
The man pulled the woman close one final time, her hand pressed flat against his chest, his forehead nearly touching hers. They held the pose, breathing hard, eyes locked.
The crowd erupted into applause.
Coins clattered into the wooden boxes.
I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding.
Rowan’s grip on my wrist had loosened at some point, but his thumb rested against my pulse point. I wondered if he could feel how fast my heart was beating.
If he noticed, he didn’t say anything.
He was staring at the boxes filling with coins, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Interesting," he murmured.
Before I could ask what he meant, he turned to look at me. "I think we should get going."
I just nodded and he was already guiding me away from the platform, back into the flow of the crowd.
I glanced back over my shoulder one last time, watching as the dancers separated and took their bows.
I couldn’t shake the image from my mind.
The way they had moved together and the way they had looked at each other.
Like nothing else in the world existed.

We wandered for what felt like hours.
The market eventually thinned, giving way to quieter streets lined with residential buildings. The crystals here glowed softer, casting everything in muted tones of blue and pale violet.
I wasn’t entirely physically tired, but the mental exhaustion from the past several days was catching up with me, and the constant alertness required to navigate this unfamiliar place had drained what little energy I had left.
Rowan seemed to feel it too. His pace had slowed, and he was no longer scanning every street with that restless intensity.
We were both tired.
And still very lost.
"We should find somewhere to rest," he said finally, his voice quieter than before.
I nodded, too tired to argue.
We drifted from one narrow passage to the other. The buildings here were older, their walls worn smooth by time. The crystals embedded near the doorways flickered unevenly, some barely glowing at all.
Then we turned a corner, and found a small opening which we risked making our way into.
After a bit of crawling, a small cave opened up before us, set into the cavern wall like a hidden alcove. It wasn’t so deep, but it was sheltered, tucked away from the main pathways.
And inside, a pool of water stretched across a large part of the floor.
The water rippled in beautiful clear waves. Bright light was coming from the water. Crystals were embedded all over the bottom of the pool, glowing with a soft blue radiance that filled the entire space.
The light reflected off the water and danced across the cave walls, casting rippling patterns that moved like something alive.
It was beautiful.
We set our bags down against the smooth walls and I lowered myself onto the stone floor. The air was cool here, it was quiet, and the noise of the city felt very far away.
I really liked this place. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
For a long moment, neither of us spoke.
I stared at the glowing water, letting the tension slowly drain from my shoulders. The blue light was soothing, gentle in a way that made my eyes heavy. I then noticed a current coming from the base of the pool. This water was flowing from somewhere.
Rowan sat beside me.
