My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 53: Lucas’ Decision
She knew Caden felt offended so she immediately turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Hey, I didn’t say that. That was the reason I asked you. I also want to have a family with you. I didn’t wait for twelve years just to be fucked by you. Of course, besides getting married, I want to have kids."
Caden chuckled. "Your words. You’ve been using the word fuck for a while now."
She pouted. "Lucas will definitely scold me if he hears that word from me." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"I think brothers will always be like that. I don’t want to hear those words from Caroline either. Maybe in a way when she talks about boys. I’ll kill the guy."
She giggled while shaking her head. "I’m serious about Caroline. I know you could never forget Mireya, especially now that Elijah can see her and can communicate with her. But you still have another sister and she’s alive. You can see her, talk to her, scold her, protect her, and love her. Make some time for her, Caden."
He sighed and nodded gently. "I know. I’m actually planning to bring her to Flousia. Uncle Kyle and the Castello Clan wanted to meet her. They’ve been bugging me about her."
"The Castello Clan?"
"My father’s side. Also a mafia clan and is now under the Forelli Clan." He said.
"I see. By the way, about the memory serum and my mother, do you think I should check if Lucas knows something?" She asked.
Caden clicked his tongue. "Yes, but I think it’s best if we tell him what we know."
Before she could give him her response, someone suddenly barged into the bathroom.
"What the hell?" Caden yelled, wrapping his arms tighter around her body to cover her.
It was her twin brother Lucas.
"We need to talk." Lucas said in a serious tone.
For a moment, the two glared at each other, making her body tense. She shivered so Caden stood up, boasting his naked body to Lucas.
Her heart pounded because Lucas didn’t look surprise seeing Caden full of tattoos. And Caden also didn’t care about Lucas’ reaction.
Caden pulled a towel and turned his back from Lucas to cover her. It was embarrassing for her to be seen naked with another man by her brother. So she felt guilty and could not look at Lucas’ eyes.
They followed Lucas to the living room. They saw Brie sitting on the sofa with swollen eyes. She knew she cried before coming into Caden’s bedroom.
"Are you okay?" She asked Brie.
Brie nodded but didn’t say a word.
"Did you have an argument with my brother?"
Brie sighed.
"Can you stop whispering, Alira?" Lucas scolded her.
She pouted. "Brie cried. What did you do?"
Lucas glared at her. "You took her to Willow Green. You know it was dangerous."
She was confused. She was unsure if Lucas knew something so she glanced at Caden.
"I’m sorry I told him about it." It was Brie who answered.
"It’s fine. I also want to tell him the truth." Caden commented.
Lucas’ glare was stuck on Caden.
"You’re an asshole. I didn’t expect you’ll end up being the boss of the Forelli Clan. Did your parents agree to it?" Lucas asked.
Caden shook his head. "They had no idea. It was a secret between me and the clan. No one knows in Flousia that I’m the new head of the Forelli Clan."
"Are you sure about that? What if someone finds out? Do you think the people of Flousia will accept a king who’s also the head of the most notorious mafia clan?"
Caden glared back at Lucas. "No one will find out. I just have to make sure that no one will know."
Lucas gritted his teeth. "Caden, you are my best friend, but you’re putting my sister’s life in danger."
"Lucas, I—"
Lucas turned to her. "Stop it, Alira. I’m still mad at you. You’re just as crazy as him. You even brought Brie to where his clan was. Are you insane? They kill people, Alira."
"And what do you want me to do? Break up with him? You know I would never do that." She exclaimed.
Lucas had a dark expression on his face. It was the first time he argued with her twin. They never had an argument ever since they were little. He was the kindest and the most protective brother, a bit strict, but he always supported her.
"Lucas, I know you’re worried about your sister. I wouldn’t deny that I killed people and whether they were my enemies or not, it’s still a sin that I had committed. I know someday I could be punished, but before it could happen, I will make sure that our families are safe."
Lucas sighed. "I’m not sure if I can accept you as Alira’s fiance—"
"Lucas!" She ran toward her brother and held his hands. "I’m okay. Caden and I are fine. You don’t need to protect me anymore. You should think of your own happiness and protect the woman you love."
Lucas frowned and glanced at Brie. Alira knew her brother’s feelings for Brie was real, but he just couldn’t accept it because of what happened with their parents.
"Are you really sure about this? Alira, you might end up falling into a pit that you could never get out of. And I won’t be there to save you." Lucas said.
Caden tapped Lucas’ shoulder. "Don’t worry, I’ll be there for her. I need your support, Lucas. We need your help."
Lucas took a deep breath and stared into her eyes. Then he patted her head and smiled.
"You know I can’t say no to you and this asshole. I already know about Mom, and I’ve been trying to find out about it myself." He said.
Her eyes widened. "Really, you know about the memory serum?"
Lucas nodded. "I accidentally found a file in A.E’s database. I asked Brie to take a look at it and we found out the memory serum was sold on the black market until now. And guess what we discovered so far."
Caden sat on the single sofa and lit a cigarette. It was the first she saw him smoke.
"What is it?" He asked in a cold tone.
