“How are you supposed to make your daddy happy?” Elaya prodded her gently.

Suddenly the girl grew nervous, her fingers pushing together. She had her head down, and her legs rubbed together on my lap.

“Do I have to say it?”

“Definitely Master’s child.”

“It’s Masters…”

“What are you three taking me for?”

“I also want to make my mommies happy too.” The little girl spoke, causing the four of us to glance back in her direction.

“Who is your mommy?” Elaya asked.

“You’re my mommy.”

Elaya broke into a cough. “I-I may be related to your mommy by marriage, but I’m not your mommy.”

“Yeah, you’re more like her grandma.” Astria sniffed.

“You want to die!”

“No…” The little girl cut into their fight, shaking her head. “You’re Mommy Elaya, you’re Mommy Xin, and you’re Mommy Astria.”

“C-cute!” Xin’s face reddened, causing the other two women to glance at her in surprise.

Who knew that it was Xin who was the most vulnerable to such a thing? All three of them were mothers, but for various reasons, they had never been truly in their children’s lives until recently.

“If my guess is correct because we acted as the dungeon’s master and caretaker at various points during her early life, then she must see us as her mothers.” Elaya declared.

“Do you know my daughter, Celeste?” Astria asked.

“Mm! Mommy Celeste!”

“Geh!”

Elaya burst out laughing. “Now, who is the grandma!”

“Well, Celeste was never a dungeon master, so you’re wrong too,” Astria responded defensively.

“Little girl, just how many mommies do you have?” Elaya asked.

“Eh? Isn’t all of daddy’s women mommy? There is Mommy Lydia, Mommy Miki, Mommy Shao…”

The three women let out breaths of relief. It was more that she didn’t understand the term. It seemed like to her, mommy was more of an association with daddy. I had been watching this with my brow furrowed. If mommy was used so flippantly, then what was daddy to her? Perhaps this entire thing was just a misrepresentation.

“That reminds me of something. What about that witch woman and her little child? While Selena detached herself from the dungeon, those two should have still been inside when you evolved. Were they destroyed and recycled?” Elaya asked.

I had forgotten about them. Matty was a dungeon master from another dungeon that was ultimately destroyed. I had managed to save him and bring his soul over to my dungeon, just as I had done with Elaya, Selena, and Xin. All of them had managed to detach themselves from the dungeon, but Matty and his companion, a mother-like witch mob, had remained behind. If the dungeon did dissolve everything and reuse it, then they might have been destroyed.

“Eh? That irritating, stinky boy?” The little girl made a face. “I put him away.”

“Put him away?” I blinked.

“He’s in my toy chest. I didn’t want to leave my toys around, so I picked them up and put them away. Isn’t daddy proud of me?” She leaned toward me like she wanted something, but I ignored her.

I didn’t know what she was talking about. Were there some means of storing mobs when they weren’t in use? That made a lot of sense. There had to be some way that mobs that were destroyed easily could be stored up and swapped out. It seemed like there were still a lot of things about dungeons I didn’t know.
