My Disciples are Too Idiotic-Chapter 436 - 300: Venturing Deep into the Mountain Range, the Wild Boss Appears! (Please Subscribe)_2
Dung Beetle stroked his chin and said doubtfully, "Get ready. We’ll go check out that cave over there. The Straw Hat Pirates will be responsible for surveillance, and the Marine Brigade should bring their equipment and surround the cave entrance directly."
Upon hearing this, the people from Wood Leaf Village sprang into action.
Although Wood Leaf Village was only a Hall, it was filled with a large number of ACG (Anime, Comics, Games) enthusiasts. The establishment of Wood Leaf Village aimed to provide a place for these ACG enthusiasts to develop, allowing everyone to play games happily together and bring ACG culture into the entire game.
A few members of the Straw Hat Pirates had even specifically purchased themed outfits, dressing up to look the part. On the side of the Marine Brigade, every person donned a white navy coat, oozing with authority. Every player from Wood Leaf Village had their own favorite costumes, and they even had wigs. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a large-scale cosplay show. No wonder the female players from Wood Leaf Village were more popular—after all, one could see various female gamers cosplaying every day.
Thrilling to the max!
Dung Beetle watched as everyone started to move, so he led the main force up as well, while Starting with a Dog was responsible for keeping an eye on their surroundings.
Many people lived inside the cave; they were all humans without cultivation and possessed no strong auras. On the Stone Stele at the Cave Entrance were the words "An Family."
"What does this mean? Steady as an Old Dog, you’ve got a good head on your shoulders; explain it to us," Dung Beetle asked, standing at the Cave Entrance.
Steady as an Old Dog fanned himself with his Feather Fan, stepping forward with a smile. "Could it be that the Non-player Characters here have settled down and started a home? But there are quite a few people inside, so it’s likely a large camp. ’An Family’ should be the name of the camp, and the person in charge is probably surnamed An. Of course, this is just my speculation. We’ll still have to go in and ask around. After all, we’re not familiar with this place, and perhaps we’ll be able to find out our current location from them, right?"
Standing at the Cave Entrance, Dung Beetle nodded. He was a man who had learned the Demon Sealing Wave; even if gods came, he could Seal them. Just a Cave—how could it intimidate him? He was invincible right now!
Inside the Cave, individuals with disheveled hair and filthy clothes hid in thatched shelters, listening to the voices coming from Outside the Cave Entrance. The people of the An Family Cave had noticed Dung Beetle and his group ever since they had slaughtered the Blood Rabbit. But they did not dare to come out. In their minds, the Outside was full of dangers, and venturing out meant death. Even though they knew there were other Caves Outside, only the hunters had the courage to go out; the others were inherently fearful.
And there was more. They had also seen Dung Beetle and his friends in action; such feats as conjuring fire and water were utterly unheard of to them. So, in such uncertain circumstances, they would not risk death.
Cave Master An did not know the origins of Dung Beetle and the others, but now that this group was about to enter, he, as the Cave Master, couldn’t just hide away.
"Holy shit, this Cave is huge—it’s like they hollowed out the whole mountain!"
"This has got to be an air-raid shelter or something! And why are there so many thatched shelters inside? Are the people hiding in them?"
"Folks, we’re good people, no need to hide anymore."
"That Old Man is watching us; looks like he’s the only one brave enough to come out. Is he the person in charge here?"
"..."
The Players were astonished by the conditions inside the Cave as they entered. But seeing the fearful eyes peering out from the thatched shelters, the Players felt somewhat helpless and had to make it clear they were not a threat.
Pointed out by several Players, Cave Master An had no choice but to bite the bullet and come forward.
"Are you people from one of the other Caves? Why haven’t I heard of you?" Cave Master An asked as he approached Dung Beetle, whom he correctly identified as the leader.
Taken aback by this question, Dung Beetle was momentarily stunned. Caves? Are there many Caves in this Mountain Range?
He scratched his head and said, "We are from the Profound Yellow Sect, located on the outermost mountain peak. Are you residents here?"
Hmm... This Ghostly Place is a bit strange; I’ve almost forgotten how to interact with NPCs. Damn it.
"You all should leave quickly! The An Family doesn’t welcome outsiders!" Cave Master An immediately began trying to drive them away.
The outermost mountain peak? We’ve lived here for so many years and have never heard of anyone dwelling on the outermost peak. The most dangerous place in the entire Mountain Range is precisely that outermost area. These people are full of lies; I absolutely can’t get too involved with them.
"Hey, what’s wrong with you, Old Man?" Dung Beetle rolled up his sleeves and said, "Believe it or not, my fist, the size of a sandbag, can beat you so badly you won’t be able to take care of yourself!"
Seeing that Dung Beetle was about to resort to violence, Cave Master An panicked. But at that moment, a commotion erupted Outside the Cave.
Cave Master An’s face turned pale, and he quickly kneeled and kowtowed. "Ancient God, spare our lives! We really don’t know them! Ancient God, please spare us!"
Ancient God? What the hell is that? Dung Beetle and the Players wondered.
"Boss, a Boss has appeared Outside! The Marine Brigade is under attack!" Starting with a Dog turned around and reported.
Hearing there was a Boss, the Players immediately got excited. A Boss could provide a ton of Contribution Points; how could they just miss out?
"Let’s go fight the Boss! Forget about these people!" Dung Beetle said, then hurriedly turned and ran out, shouting, "Everyone, get ready! This might be the Fifth Test’s first Wild Boss! If we take it down, we’ll strike it rich!"
"Charge, charge, charge! This Boss belongs to us, the Yordle Pirate Crew!"
"A bunch of dwarves? In your dreams! We, the Sexy Prisoners, are the true bane of this Boss!"
"Stop shouting! Both the Marine Brigade and Straw Hat Pirates are Outside! If we don’t hurry, the Boss will be gone!"
"Don’t rush me! Who the hell is touching my butt? Are you sick?!"
"..."
In no time, the Players were a chaotic mob. After they stormed out aggressively, Cave Master An, wearing a bewildered expression, quietly watched the Cave Entrance. In his hand, an arm-length wooden statue trembled slightly. The statue was shaped like an eyeball, looking utterly bizarre and instilling an unsettling sense of reverence in anyone who saw it.
Soon, the Wood Leaf Village Players had all burst out of the Cave.
Outside, a monster over five meters tall, shaped like a tiger, was battling the Marine Brigade. Quite a few members of the Marine Brigade already lay dead around it. What truly terrified the Players were the multitude of eyes covering the tiger monster’s body, all looking in different directions. The eyes staring at the surrounding Players were genuinely unsettling.
Weird! This Boss is definitely not simple.
"Holy crap, what is this thing?"
"My trypophobia is kicking in! These eyeballs are making my skin crawl!"
"Damn it, this is a Boss? Are the Game Designers creating these disgusting things to mess with us now?"
"I can’t... my heart rate is soaring! I give up on this Boss!"
"..."
With the Players’ arrival, many of the bizarre eyeballs on the monster turned to glare at them, giving many Players the creeps.
Dung Beetle swallowed and turned to say, "Steady as an Old Dog, take command. I’m preparing the Demon Sealing Wave. If we can’t kill it outright, I’ll use the Demon Sealing Wave to Seal this thing."
"Alright!" Steady as an Old Dog nodded and commanded, "All Earth Element Players, prepare! Use Earth Array Wall to restrict the Boss’s movement. Wood Element Players, immediately rescue the injured; send the severely wounded to Reincarnation. Fire Element Players, hold your fire! Once the Boss breaks through our restraints, you’ll engage to block its path!"
As one of the few commanders in the entire game, a good number of people would listen to Steady as an Old Dog’s orders. After all, during the great battle against the Sea Race and the invasion of the Demon Race, he had been in charge of commanding the battles alongside Neighbor Six, Chaotic Dance Steps, and others. The current situation wasn’t overly complex for him; he could still handle it with relative ease. If the Players listened to commands and coordinated well, they could definitely win this Boss fight.
"Boss, people from Lingxiao Hall are here too!" Starting with a Dog, his Byakugan active, immediately warned upon noticing their approach.
Dung Beetle’s mouth twitched, and he turned to say, "Everyone, listen to the commands! This Wild Boss must be taken down by us! Don’t let the people from Lingxiao Hall steal the Boss!"
