My Cuckhold System-Chapter 91: Creating An Awakened
Seraphyra flexed her hand experimentally.
Dark energy gathered around her fingers, denser than before.
"Shadow Anchor..."
She suddenly dissolved into a shadow behind her. She was immovable and invisible in this state and it left her astonished.
She deactivated it afterwards...
"And Humanoid Shift..."
Her body glittered as her scales rippled like liquid night.
The massive serpentine lower half began to contract, compressing inward in a swirl of dark smoke.
The thirty-foot body shrank, reformed and condensed within seconds—
Soon, a fully human woman stood before them with long midnight hair flowing freely down her back.
Her horns remained, framing her face like dark diadems.
Her features were breathtaking with her full lips curved in a knowing smile. Her skin retained that smooth marble quality, flawless and luminous under the fading light.
She wore a fitted black outfit formed of conjured shadow with battle-ready high boots and smooth gloves. A silhouette that radiated dangerous allure.
Jax’s stone statue stood nearby, eternally mid-whistle.
Seraphyra slowly examined her hands.
"...A perfect humanoid form."
She looked at West.
"You have given me the ability to blend."
Her gaze softened into a deeply impressed look.
"That boost alone would make lesser entities kneel."
She took a slow steps toward him, reached forward and gently took West’s arm, pressing it lightly against her chest in gratitude.
"Master," she said smoothly, "you have exceeded expectations."
West didn’t flinch.
He simply looked down at her calmly.
"Aren’t you forgetting something?"
She blinked in confusion while he tilted his head slightly toward the stone statue behind them.
"My friend is still petrified."
Seraphyra turned.
"Oh."
She snapped her fingers lightly and the golden glow flickered again.
The stone coating cracked like brittle clay and Jax’s body reanimated instantly.
He stumbled forward, collapsing to his knees.
"What the—"
He looked around wildly.
"...Why is it dark?"
He stared at West.
"Bro. Why does it feel like I lost thirty minutes of my life?"
West crossed his arms.
"She felt insulted... apparently, you’re a lower life form..."
Jax looked at Seraphyra who was now in full humanoid form.
He blinked.
"...Okay wait."
He squinted.
"...She got legs now."
Seraphyra smiled faintly.
"Thanks to Master..."
Jax slowly stood.
"Did I just get turned into stone?"
"Yes," West and Seraphyra said in unison.
Jax looked down at himself and touched his face.
"...That explains the weird dream about pigeons."
He exhaled sharply.
West glanced between them.
His second contract was complete and stronger than expected.
And this time... he didn’t even have to fight at all.
Now only one thing remained...
He looked at Jax.
"You ready?"
Jax held up the Tier 1 Awakening Voucher slowly.
He stared at Seraphyra... then at Gor’thala... and then back at West.
"...Yeah."
He swallowed.
"Let’s do it."
...
...
~ The Next Day ~
The moment the Voucher had dissolved against Jax’s lower abdomen the previous night, something had clicked deep inside him. At first, he’d laughed and told West he felt nothing. Then came the heat... and then the cold... Then the sensation of something branching out within his core... like roots forcing their way through stone.
By the time Gor’thala had dropped him off at his house and vanished into the night, Jax had already begun shaking.
Now it was morning again and the blaring of his alarm caused him to jolt awake.
For a moment, everything felt normal.
Then he felt three distinct currents inside his body... three branches.
They weren’t physical but they were undeniably there. Invisible conduits spiraling out from a central core beneath his navel, like frost-covered tree limbs suspended in empty space.
He lifted his hand slowly and clenched his fist.
He could feel strength that wasn’t initially present...
He sat up in bed and the room temperature felt wrong.
Too warm...
He exhaled instinctively and a faint mist drifted from his lips.
Jax froze.
"...Nah."
He tried again and exhaled slowly...
This time the mist was thicker.
His heart started pounding.
He pulled his blanket aside and swung his legs off the bed. The moment his bare foot touched the tiled floor, a thin layer of frost formed beneath his toes.
He jerked back so violently he nearly flipped off the bed.
"What the—?!"
He stared at the tile, watching the frost fade seconds later.
Silence filled the room as his pulse thundered in his ears.
Then, a knock snapped him out of his reverie.
"Jax! You’re going to be late!" his mother called from downstairs.
He scrambled upright.
"I’m up! I’m up!"
He looked at himself in the mirror... his physical appearance hadn’t changed.
Same messy hair...
Same sleep-creased face...
Same idiot.
But behind his reflection... he felt power.
He rushed through brushing his teeth, splashing water on his face, getting dressed.
And he had to concentrate.
Because every time his emotions spiked, the temperature around him dipped.
When he got annoyed trying to fix his tie, a faint chill rippled outward.
When he got excited thinking about meeting West, his window fogged.
He had to calm himself down.
"Normal. Be normal," he muttered.
He walked downstairs.
His dad was already at the table reading something on his tablet. His mom was plating eggs.
"Morning," his dad said without looking up.
"Morning," Jax replied.
He grabbed a glass of water.
The glass felt too fragile... he was aware of how strong his grip had suddenly become due to the faint cracks starting to spread around the glass...
He consciously loosened it.
His mother frowned.
"Why are you sweating? It’s not even hot."
"I’m not sweating," he said quickly.
She squinted.
"...Why is your breath misting?"
Jax nearly choked.
"It’s cold!"
"It’s twenty-six degrees."
He coughed.
"AC from outside?"
There was no AC.
His dad looked up now.
"You feeling okay? You called in sick yesterday."
"Yeah! Totally fine!" Jax said too loudly.
As if on cue, the metal spoon in his hand creaked, bending slightly.
He froze but thankfully, his parents did not notice.
He gently placed it down.
"I gotta go," he blurted.
"You haven’t eaten—"
"I’ll grab something on the way!"
He bolted out the door.
The moment he stepped into the morning air, he exhaled sharply.
The concrete beneath his sneakers crackled faintly as a whisper of frost spidered outward before fading.
His eyes widened.
"I’m actually awakened..."
He laughed and then clamped a hand over his mouth.
"Oh my God."
He didn’t even head toward his own school, he turned and sprinted...
The moment he did, he immediately regretted it.
Because he sprinted far faster than he ever had in his life...
The world blurred slightly.
He overshot the first corner by a solid three meters and had to skid to a halt.
His sneakers left faint ice trails across the ground.
"Oh this is dangerous."
But he couldn’t stop grinning.
He adjusted his bag and focused.
He couldn’t wait to tell West that it worked and that he could actually succeed in creating his own gang.
He reached West’s apartment building in record time and buzzed the door.
Seconds later, it opened.
West stepped out, hands in his pockets, eyes already scanning Jax up and down.
"You look different," West said calmly.
"I FEEL different!" Jax hissed loudly.
West motioned for him to lower his voice.
"Control," he said.
Jax nodded rapidly and they began walking away from the neighborhood.
However, neither of them were headed for school...
