Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needle

After a careful inspection, Yi Tianyun found no other treasures and chose to leave. As for this Dragon God Hall, he couldn’t very well move it, so it would have to remain here. If it could have been moved, the Dragon God would have done so long ago. Why else would it be stored here?

’I guess it’s time to go. There’s no point in staying here any longer.’

Yi Tianyun walked toward the exit. As he neared the main entrance, he suddenly heard THUDDING sounds coming from outside, but no matter how hard they slammed against it, they couldn’t break the door open. This was the Dragon God Hall; those with cultivation levels that were too low would never be able to force it open.

As for how much power was needed, he had no idea, but he estimated it would take at least a Core Formation Stage expert or stronger.

’Someone was bound to come. It’d be stranger if no one showed up after seeing such a dazzling light.’

Yi Tianyun frowned. This wasn’t good. With so many people gathered outside, he would surely be besieged the moment he stepped out.

But he couldn’t just hide in here for the rest of his life. His only option was to go out.

’Looks like there’s no other choice. I have to go out...’ A cold light flashed in Yi Tianyun’s eyes, his killing intent flaring!

He immediately walked to the main door and pushed. The entire gate instantly began to glow as the patterns on its surface lit up one by one. Once they were all illuminated, it let out a RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE and slowly began to open outward.

"The... the door is opening!"

"It really is! Back up! We don’t know what kind of monster might come out now that it’s suddenly opening!"

"Could the master of this place be coming out? We should get back!"

A clamor of voices came from outside. When the door was fully open, what appeared before their eyes was not a monster, nor was it some supreme expert, but a young man!

They were stunned on the spot, utterly dumbfounded by the situation. How could a young man come out of there? And his cultivation level didn’t seem very high?

They sized up Yi Tianyun, and he did the same to them. A large group of Cultivators had gathered outside. The weakest were at the fourth or fifth level of the Body Refining Stage, while the strongest were at the eighth or ninth level of the Spirit Refining Stage. They were all Cultivators who had come here to train or were just passing through.

There were no Core Formation Stage experts in sight. Although the Illusion Beast Mountain Range was a decent place, there was no point for Core Formation Stage experts to come here, as they would simply steamroll everything. The strongest presence here was typically at the seventh or eighth level of the Spirit Refining Stage, so a Core Formation Stage expert’s presence would be pointless; it would be a complete walkover.

This area had long since been fully explored, so there were no secrets left to find. Now that the Dragon God Hall had appeared, any higher-level experts were probably on their way, but for now, at least, none had arrived.

Yi Tianyun ignored their stares and stepped outside. The moment he was clear, the great door slammed shut with a BOOM, sealing itself tightly.

He was probably the only one who could open this door now, unless a supreme expert came and smashed it to pieces.

Everyone stared at him blankly. When he was about halfway through the crowd, they finally snapped out of it. One of the experts, at the ninth level of the Spirit Refining Stage, immediately shouted, "Hey, kid! Stop right there!"

Yi Tianyun couldn’t be bothered to respond and kept walking. However, there were simply too many people in front of him—over a hundred in total—and they had the area completely surrounded. Unless he could fly, there was no easy way out.

Stealth was useless. After all, getting too close would expose him; it wouldn’t make him invisible. Stealth wasn’t infallible. If he got close enough, even those with cultivation lower than his would be able to sense him. It wasn’t true invisibility.

"What is it?" Yi Tianyun asked calmly.

"What is it? How did you get out of there?" one of the Cultivators demanded viciously, having come to his senses.

"I went in, and then I came out. Isn’t that normal?"

Yi Tianyun said in a low voice, "You don’t need to get any ideas about me. If you want to open that door, figure it out yourselves. I didn’t get any treasures from inside, so please step aside. I’m in a hurry."

His words, however, only made more people swarm around him, blocking his path completely.

"Hilarious. You think we’d believe that?"

A large man sneered, "Hand over the treasure, or don’t blame us for what happens next!"

"That’s right! Hand over the treasure, or open the door for us! Otherwise, don’t blame us for getting rough!"

"Do you really think you can escape from all of us? Just hand over the treasure obediently. Do you take us for three-year-olds?!"

They all glared menacingly at Yi Tianyun. Did they think he was an easy target because he was so young and his cultivation seemed so low?

"If you want to open the door, use your own skills. Why should I help you? And even if I did get a treasure, why should I give it to you? What have any of you done to deserve it?" Yi Tianyun’s gaze was icy.

"We’ve been waiting here for so long! That’s what we’ve done!"

"Exactly! Hand over the treasure now, or you’re dead!"

Their faces were twisted with malice. To come out of such a massive Divine Hall with no treasure at all? What a joke. Who would believe that?

"I’ll say this one last time: get out of my way. Otherwise, don’t blame me for what happens next."

Yi Tianyun’s eyes were cold. ’Such a fine contribution,’ he thought sarcastically. ’Just waiting around here. How laughable.’

His words, however, held no threat to them. Instead, they tightened their circle, pressing in closer.

"A fine ’what happens next’! I’d like to see just how you’re going to make me regret it!"

As soon as the Cultivator finished speaking, he lunged forward, reaching out to grab Yi Tianyun.

Yi Tianyun’s eyes turned cold. He drew his blade in a flash. The Wind-Chasing Blade transformed into a streak of lightning and slashed forward viciously. With a SWISH, like a bolt of lightning striking down, the Cultivator’s outstretched arm was instantly severed.

"AHHHH..."

The Cultivator screamed, clutching his severed arm. The intense pain brought him to his knees, and he began to convulse from the Wind-Chasing Blade’s electrical effect. But this brutal act, far from intimidating the others, only drew a wave of greedy gazes.

"That... that’s a pretty good Spiritual Artifact! It must be at least High-Grade, right?"

"Did you see that flash? I doubt even a Top-Grade Spiritual Artifact could produce an effect like that!"

"Kid, you still say you didn’t get any treasure? What’s that, then?! Hand it over! Don’t think you can escape!"

They quickly closed in, their faces contorted with malice. They stared at him with cold eyes, like ravenous tigers. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Yi Tianyun had just lopped off an arm, yet it had no deterrent effect. First, the injured Cultivator’s cultivation was too low. Second, they all thought Yi Tianyun himself was too weak!

Yi Tianyun’s gaze turned frigid. He swept his eyes across the crowd and said in a low voice, "This is your final warning. Die, or get lost!"

As he spoke, he took out the Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needle!
