My Co-renting Lady Boss-Chapter 1459 - 1458: Encountering Li Wenxuan Again
"Military training uniform?"
Tang Ming blinked, walked to the desk, picked up a set of clothes, and couldnโt help but laugh, "The quality is really bad, isnโt it?"
"Itโs just for military training. What do you expect? Youโre going to throw it away after seven days anyway." ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฏ๐๐.๐๐ผ๐บ
Other student pursed their lips impatiently, "There are only three sizes: large, medium, and small. I got you a medium. See if it fits."
"Sigh, going to university is even more troublesome than high school."
Tang Ming sighed, tossed the military training clothes, hat, and shoes onto the bed, "I remember I went to the report with you guys. How did I end up back first?"
"You have the nerve to say that. Do you know you offended the counselor?"
Seeing Tang Ming with a face full of confusion, "The counselor has already spoken; you need to go to the office right away to see him."
"Why?"
Tang Ming was puzzled.
"Did you forget what happened before?"
Hua Yingjie looked at Tang Ming curiously and then recounted Tang Mingโs incident of falling asleep during class.
"That does sound like something Iโd do."
After hearing the story, Tang Ming rubbed his chin. Given how sleepy he can be, thereโs no telling what he might have done.
"You should quickly go apologize to the counselor. Otherwise, if he makes trouble for you later on, youโll have a tough time."
Hua Yingjie seriously advised.
"Whatโs he gonna do, hit me?"
Tang Ming couldnโt care less, waving it off.
"He wonโt hit you, but he can tell your teachers to fail you, or prevent you from signing up for benefits like scholarships or party applications."
Hua Yingjie gave Tang Ming a meaningful look, solemnly reminding him.
"That canโt be. Iโm such a good student, who can fail me?"
Tang Ming frowned slightly. Zhou Xiong wanted him to perform well and strive for an exchange opportunity. If the counselor really held a grudge, it would indeed be troublesome.
"You donโt get it; university is different from high school. Grades are split into final exam scores and continuous assessment. Finals account for sixty percent, continuous forty. Even if you score full marks on the finals, that only gets you sixty percent. A single point deduction by the teacher, plus losing continuous assessment marks, you think you can pass?"
Other student looked at Tang Ming with a grin, "The counselors know the instructors well. A word can fail you."
"What a hassle. I guess I have to go apologize."
Tang Ming pouted, feeling annoyed. After getting dressed, he headed out, "Whereโs the counselorโs office?"
"In the Medical College counselorโs office, obviously. You go yourself; weโll go grab seats at the cafeteria."
Other student replied without lifting their head.
"Got it."
Tang Ming waved his hand and left the dormitory.
"Old Meng, the Medical College has three counselors for new students but also others for upperclassmen. Are you sure he can find Zhang Mingliโs office?"
After Tang Ming left, Hua Yingjie looked at Other student worriedly.
"He just has to ask someone where Zhang Mingliโs office is."
Other student smiled indifferently.
"What if he doesnโt even know the counselorโs name?"
Hua Yingjie snickered.
"Damn. That guy doesnโt even remember what heโs done; how could he know itโs Zhang Mingli?"
Other studentโs face changed, and they quickly ran out, only to find that Tang Ming had vanished.
Tang Ming arrived at the Medical College building, looked at the grand edifice, feeling torn, "What floor is the counselorโs office on?"
After hesitating at the entrance for a while, he stopped a male student carrying books, "Hey, can you tell me what floor the counselorโs office is on?"
"The administrative building of the Medical College is on the fourth floor, and so is the counselorโs office."
The student replied with a smile.
"Thanks."
Tang Ming thanked him gratefully and headed for the fourth floor.
As soon as he arrived on the fourth floor, he saw an office sign with the word โCounselorโ written on it, the nearest one to him.
"Heh, that was easy to find."
Tang Ming grinned and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
A melodious voice sounded.
Entering the office, Tang Ming saw a woman in a small suit sorting through a pile of documents at the desk.
"Ahem, sorry, teacher, Iโm here to apologize."
Tang Ming walked to the desk, sincerely apologizing.
"Tang Ming?"
The woman, busy at work, suddenly looked up, staring at Tang Ming in disbelief, "Why are you here?"
"Whoa, Ms. Li, is it you?"
Tang Mingโs eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at the counselor, who turned out to be his English teacher Li Wenxuan.
They stared at each other wide-eyed for quite a while.
"Youโre the counselor for Medical College freshmen?"
After a moment, Tang Ming hesitated to ask Li Wenxuan.
"Yeah. You got into Imperial University, and youโre a Medical College student?"
Li Wenxuan looked at Tang Ming with surprise and confusion, carefully observing him. It was quite the coincidence.
"Yeah! Iโm a new Medical College student, and youโre my counselor?"
Tang Ming stared disbelievingly at Li Wenxuan. The coincidence was too uncanny. Plus, wasnโt Li Wenxuan supposed to be taking graduate exams, how did she end up at Imperial University?
And how did a foreign language major become a Medical College counselor?
"This is interesting, really interesting."
Li Wenxuan looked at Tang Ming with a complex expression, "I never thought youโd escape my grasp after entering university, and still be under my management."
"Haha, awkward."
Tang Ming chuckled, looking at Li Wenxuan with playful annoyance, "Since weโre acquaintances, you should know I didnโt mean to offend you. Is there any need to summon me for a lecture?"
"What do you mean? I didnโt call you over."
Li Wenxuan frowned slightly, looking at Tang Ming puzzled, "Did you want to see me for something?"
"Arenโt you the freshman counselor? The counselor told me to come to the office because I fell asleep in class."
Tang Ming looked at Li Wenxuan uncertainly.
"Oh my! That sleeping student at the freshman assembly was you?"
Li Wenxuan looked at Tang Ming with surprise, then burst into laughter, "Makes sense; only you would pull something like that. I wondered who had the guts to offend the counselor on the first day of school."
"Is it that funny?"
Tang Ming looked at Li Wenxuan, speechless.
"Itโs just hilarious."
Li Wenxuan waved, trying not to laugh, "Youโre in Class One, but Iโm the counselor for Classes 4, 5, and 6, so your counselor isnโt me but Zhang Mingli in the next office."
"Thereโs such a distinction?"
Tang Ming was slightly stunned, realizing he had found the wrong person.
"Your habit of sleeping in class needs to change. I donโt blame you for not remembering the counselorโs name, but at least get the gender right,"
Li Wenxuan looked at Tang Ming helplessly. As his former English teacher, she knew how troublesome his sleeping habits were.
