My Childhood Sweetheart Is a Little Crybaby!-Chapter 36 You’re drooling!
Soon, the whole school knew that Xu Jiayan, a sixth-grader, had a pair of siblings who had just started first grade.
They were as delicate as porcelain dolls, and just as beautiful as he was.
As soon as Jiang Yuan left, someone couldn’t help but run over and ask, "Xu Jiayan, are they your younger brother and sister?"
"Are your brother and sister twins?"
"..."
Xu Fang watched his good buddy beside him and couldn’t help showing a look of anticipatory amusement.
A sister is a sister, but not the kind everyone thinks.
It all depends on how he answers.
God knows how hard it’s been for him to keep a secret.
But the outcome was destined to disappoint him.
Because Xu Jiayan had no intention of answering at all.
And having been classmates for six years, everyone was used to his temperament; they asked without really expecting any answers.
Xu Fang could only continue to silently keep the secret, suffering alone.
Although Jiang Yuan had started elementary school, her habit of running to his room at night still hadn’t changed.
In the middle of the night, Xu Jiayan felt a warm presence approaching.
Opening his eyes, he found the little girl had somehow made her way to his bed again, curling up quietly beside him. Her body was soft and delicate, her sleeping face tranquil, her little face pink and tender, glowing with a warm hue.
Xu Jiayan frowned slightly, struggled for a while, but ultimately didn’t wake her up. He watched her sleeping face for a moment, then reached out to tuck in the corner of the blanket before closing his eyes again.
At 6:30 in the morning, Xu Jiayan was awakened by his alarm.
He looked down to find the girl had somehow rolled into his arms, sleeping sweetly. She smacked her lips, as if dreaming of something tasty, a suspicious strand of drool at the corner of her mouth.
And his pajamas had an obvious wet patch.
Xu Jiayan’s expression froze on the spot.
Frowning, he nudged the little girl sleeping beside him like a piglet, "Jiang Yuan, time to get up!"
"Ugh, so noisy..."
The little girl, with her eyes still closed, made a sound like a kitten’s murmur, rubbing her little head in his arms, murmuring a couple of times before going quiet again.
Xu Jiayan: ...
He lifted the blanket and directly picked her up out of it.
The little girl, groggy, opened her eyes, rubbing her sleepy eyes with her little hands, and looked at him with a perplexed expression, "Brother Yan, is it morning?"
Xu Jiayan no longer asked why she ran to his room in the middle of the night again; after all, the girl always had all sorts of excuses.
He just looked at her, expressionlessly reminding her, "You drooled!"
"Ah?" The girl blinked her eyes, taking a moment to realize what had happened, her face instantly turning red. She sneaked peeks at him while quickly wiping her lips with the hem of his pajamas.
Xu Jiayan felt a strong twitch in his brow.
Was he being too nice to her lately?
"Go wash up."
Xu Jiayan got up from the bed with a dark face, holding her by the collar of her clothes, and took her to the bathroom. He prepared her toothpaste and warm water for her.
Seeing that her brushing was getting slower and slower, eventually her little head bobbing up and down like a pecking chicken, seemingly about to fall asleep any second, he decisively took over to rinse her mouth and then grabbed a towel to wipe her face.
"That hurts."
The girl’s delicate, soft voice came through the thick, fluffy towel to his ears.
Xu Jiayan paused in his actions, moving the towel away from her face.
The little girl lifted her pink, tender cheeks, her bright eyes welling with tears, looking at him with a sense of grievance.
It was then Xu Jiayan noticed her little face had been rubbed red.
He couldn’t help but frown slightly.
This girl’s skin really was too tender.
