A few months passed quickly for Leon as he continued to complete quests and challenges. After returning to the Tower, the others also came back from their own quests, and the Legacy Book finally revealed the details of the next trial.

[Hey~ how are you doing?]

[Well, I’m doing fine. Anyway, the next trial is on the 20th floor. Reach there, and we will meet again.]

[Of course, but only if you can find me, hehehe~]

The Legacy Book turned red, and the words burned into flames.

"I guess the next trial is to find old man," Roselia said as Leon nodded.

"Though I no longer need his legacy," Leon added.

"Well, you cleared a powerful Dungeon of Ancient times. I think now Theodore might be needing you to teach him," Roman said, chuckling as he shook his head.

"Maybe, but don’t forget he’s a Tier XV, and I’m just a Tier X Alchemist," Leon said as they nodded.

Roman nodded but he also added. "Even so, knowledge isn’t just about tiers. You might have insights he lacks."

Leon crossed his arms, thinking for a moment. "True, but it still feels odd to teach someone that much stronger than me."

Roselia chuckled. "Power isn’t everything. If he seeks your guidance, it means you have something valuable to offer."

"Where are Milim and the others?" Leon asked as the group fell silent.

"What happened?" he asked again, not liking the heavy atmosphere.

Roman let out a sigh before lifting his shirt, revealing a scar on his stomach.

"How did this happen?" Leon asked, examining the scar. It had healed thanks to Roman’s innate resilience, yet its presence still carried the mark of a powerful opponent.

"Someone came to take Milim back," Roman explained. "She resisted, so they knocked her out. We tried to help her, but we were easily defeated," he admitted with a sigh as Roselia nodded in agreement.

Leon studied the scar, his expression darkening. He extended his hand, feeling the lingering energy from the attack. A crimson aura flared around his fingers as he traced the wound, sensing the remnants of the Scarlet Energy’s power.

"It still feels strange," Roman muttered as Leon nodded.

Roselia also turned, lifting her back slightly. "Leon… can you help me too?" she asked, revealing another injury.

Leon’s anger flared, but he suppressed it. Instead, he placed his hands over her wound, channeling his power to heal her.

Leon used his destruction energy to cleanse the lingering Scarlet Entity’s remnants while allowing their natural healing to mend both wounds inflicted upon them.

"What world?" After some time, he asked as Roman and Roselia glanced at each other.

"I don’t think…" Roselia began, but she stopped when she noticed the cold look on Leon’s face.

"Sorry for that," Leon muttered, his voice heavy. He took a deep breath to calm his increasingly berserk impulses before adding, "I just want to know who took Milim without her permission."

Roman nodded. "They were from Arvanis World. It’s a dark world where the sun never shines. Instead, they have three massive moons that provide light from a distance, acting as their sun."

Leon’s eyes narrowed. "Sounds like a perfect place for a vampire civilization."

Roman and Roselia nodded in agreement.

"And Milim was a Royal Vampire, so she must be a princess from some kingdom in that world," Leon speculated.

"Not just any kingdom," Roselia added. "She’s from Gravis Kingdom. Most royal families there share her surname."

Leon’s expression darkened as he recalled Milim’s full name—Milim Gravis.

"I have heard that name before," Leon said as they turned to him. "Back in that dungeon, there were records of a nearby continent. There was the Gravis Kingdom of vampires—a cruel one. They drink the blood of their own kin to ensure their power. Every 500 years, their ruler—whether king or queen—must be replaced. But their selection method is brutal."

He continued, his expression darkening. "A battle royale takes place in a grand arena, where all the contenders fight to the death. The last one standing drinks the blood of all the fallen, absorbing their power. Then, as a final act, they drink the blood of the previous ruler to solidify their reign."

Roman frowned. "But they’re vampires. Drinking blood is normal for them, right?"

Leon shook his head. "There’s a difference. Drinking blood usually means taking a portion, not draining someone dry and stealing their strength. What they do is outright slaughter."

The atmosphere grew tense.

"We’re going there," Leon declared.

The others hesitated. "No, Leon. The ones who took her were Tier X. We’re no match for them. Going there would be suicide," Roman warned.

Leon nodded. "Of course, I know that. A kingdom that big must have at least one Tier XII powerhouse. I’m not planning to rush in recklessly. But that battle royale… if her parents were rulers, then Milim might be next in line."

Roselia’s eyes widened. "That means… she’s not just any royal. She could be the next queen."

"And in that case," Leon said, his gaze turning sharp, "they’re not just holding her captive. They might be forcing her into that deadly tournament."

"Even so, how can we save her?" Roman asked.

Leon responded firmly, "Partners are allowed in the tournament. So, I will join as her partner."

"What?!" Roselia exclaimed in shock.

Leon’s expression remained resolute. "I promised to protect her, and I intend to keep that promise."

Roman nodded approvingly. "That’s how a true man should be."

Leon leaned back, his gaze sharpening. "Stop wasting time with useless drama," he said, his patience running thin.

"But they are the only fun thing I found in this age," Roman muttered, grinning as he followed after Leon.

Leon just shook his head and didn’t say anything.

Leon, Roman, and Roselia made their way toward World Plaza, a massive hub where adventurers, merchants, and scholars from countless realms gathered. Towering structures of ancient and futuristic designs stood proudly, each housing portals leading to different worlds. The air buzzed with energy as people of all races—humans, elves, beastkin, and even celestial beings—moved between realms.
