My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious-Chapter 589 - 509: Let’s Go, Taking You to Romance
"Huh? What else would it be?"
"You didn’t call because you missed me?"
"Nope. I’m going to keep using my face mask. You’re busy, bye."
The call on the other end had already been hung up. Lu Qing listened to a whole load of gossip and, recalling that incident from the other day, genuinely felt a little sorry.
After all, what he did was indeed a bit excessive.
Having signed just about all of the documents in hand, he glanced at Han Shu and said evenly:
"Make arrangements. I need a luxury romantic hotel suite."
"Understood, Mr. Lu."
After a moment’s thought, Lu Qing added, "Prepare premium champagne as well. Also, organize a romantic artificial snowfall."
Han Shu: .....
"Mr. Lu, are you... proposing?"
Lu Qing didn’t answer. He was merely trying to make up for the regret left behind from their first night together. As for proposing or not...
After Qin Miaomiao hung up the phone, she continued applying her face mask while brainstorming for her script. This script had been such a torment that she was practically pulling her hair out. Trying to write the dramatic tension she wanted while conveying what she wished to express was truly difficult.
Back when she was full of inspiration but lacked technical skills, the occasional work she produced had a certain brilliance to it. But now that everything was in place, she found herself overly cautious.
The more she wrote, the more wrong it felt. She needed to clear her mind. Perhaps filming a short film or a series of micro-movies first to spark some inspiration?
While she was thinking this, Xiao Bai walked over gracefully, lifting his front paws to rest them on her knee as he let out an adorable little whine.
Qin Miaomiao patted his head and said, "Don’t mess around, Ma-ma’s trying to think." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
He seemed to understand and lay down quietly nearby, occasionally lifting his head to glance at her.
Tormented by the script to the point of a headache, Qin Miaomiao simply picked up her notebook and pen and began scribbling.
Breaking away from the original script, she let her thoughts wander freely to things like high-concept ideas or small-scale suspenseful thrillers.
Her previously muddled brain began to clear, and one idea after another burst forth, filling her with energy as she started drafting a script outline.
Time slipped by unnoticed, and night had fallen by the time she finally snapped out of it to answer Lu Qing’s repeated calls.
"What’s up?"
"Why didn’t you pick up?"
"I was busy writing an outline and probably didn’t hear it."
"Where are you?"
"At home."
"Come downstairs."
With that, he hung up abruptly, leaving her bewildered. Downstairs?
What for?
As she descended the stairs in a daze, Xiao Bai tagged along. Thankfully, it was dark and no one was around. Otherwise, if someone saw a white tiger following her, they’d probably be scared out of their wits.
Little Xiaobai had grown so fast that she wasn’t even sure of his lineage anymore. By now, he was about the size of an adult tiger.
Exiting the elevator, she saw Lu Qing leaning casually against a Ferrari. Dressed sharply in a suit and tie, he looked strikingly neat and polished.
His gaze fell on her, and he furrowed his brow slightly.
At the moment, Qin Miaomiao was wearing sky-blue pajamas, her hair was messy, she had on rabbit slippers, and there was a pair of black-rimmed glasses perched on her nose. Thanks to late nights, a zit had even appeared at the corner of her mouth.
Not to mention, she wasn’t wearing any makeup and looked downright unkempt...
Standing next to Lu Qing, she had the air of a witch next to a prince—especially since this witch had an oversized tiger in tow.
"Honey, what’s up? You’re home; why didn’t you come upstairs?"
"I’m taking you somewhere."
"Where?"
