"Two." Lu Xize finally spoke calmly as the elevator arrived.
Yun Xi, who had just taken a step, paused with a slight surprise. She turned back to look at him with clean, clear eyes, devoid of any complex emotions. Yet, perhaps because they were too empty, they gave off a faint illusion of loneliness.
Watching her stunned reaction, Lu Xize laughed again and nudged her inside, "Go in first! Which floor?"
Yun Xi was pushed into the elevator passively, her lips moved slightly as she slowly spoke, "11."
Lu Xize reached out to press the button for the 11th floor and, after a moment of silence, began again, "The first was in freshman year, we dated for about five months. The second was in junior year, for two years."
Yun Xi listened silently, unsure how she felt, until the elevator reached the 11th floor and the doors opened. She stepped out, "So... after that, you haven’t dated anyone else?"

"Why?" Yun Xi asked, finally looking up at him, wearing a faint smile as if trying to hide something.
"I haven’t met the right person, I guess!" Lu Xize chuckled lightly, his gaze wandering as he curled his lips, "Which door is your place?"
"The right." Yun Xi said while walking to the door, struggling to find an extra hand to enter the password and realizing she couldn’t lift it, she looked at him, "Enter the password."
"What’s the code?"
"010206."
"That simple?"
"How complex did you want it to be?"
"True, you’d forget if it were too complicated."
"Get lost." Yun Xi lifted her leg as if to kick him but didn’t actually do so, and Lu Xize didn’t bother to dodge.
"You don’t like hearing the truth." Lu Xize pulled the door open, letting her step in first, and then followed her inside, surveying the layout and decor of her place. It was pink and pretty spacious, fitting her style well.
"Wow! It’s much cleaner than I imagined, I thought it would be a mess!" Lu Xize nodded approvingly as they reached the living room.
Yun Xi was speechless; she would never admit that the cleaning lady came this morning.
She tossed everything she was holding onto the sofa and glared at him through gritted teeth, "Can’t you just stop talking for once?"
"Oh, seems like something’s up, spill it! Was it the cleaning company that did this spotless job? I really can’t see you doing housework."
"The door is over there, please see yourself out, thank you."
"Come on, I’m just speaking the truth."
"Ha, which part of your truth doesn’t deserve a beating?" Yun Xi sneered, clenching a fist, wishing she could hit him with a brick.
"If you like hearing lies, I can tell them anytime, but... I don’t really want to lie to you."
