He truly wishes he could find a place to hide, for never in his life had he felt such humiliation as he did now, kneeling for another’s forgiveness, while the other party never even considered forgiving him, instead making conditions. To him, this was a great insult, believing his father never treated him as a real son. Yet Zhentian never considered why his father acted this way. Was he trying to prove his actions were right or wrong? His perspective only saw others’ faults, never his own. Like someone with two pockets, one showing only others’ mistakes, the other concealing his own, blind to the harm his past errors had caused others.
