Mute Mate: The Alpha's Obsession-Chapter 208: His Touch, Her Guilt
Queen Diana walked into the room. She wondered if her husband was already resting, but she doubted that even though it was something else she guessed it supposed to be so.
But knowing her husband was not the kind to do such, not when she was still awake—because no matter how tired her husband gets, he would never sleep until she was back or she was next to him.
Maybe this is why she feels guilty. She knew her husband loved her so much, and he deserved someone better, far better. She felt like she did not deserve him. She had always felt he was too good, given what she did.
Sadness creeped in her body. Why was life so wicked that it had made her love two people? She wanted to cry. She had always thought of telling her husband about this, but what if he does not take it that way and was not understanding enough? She could not just be living in lies, and anytime he treated her nicely, she just wished he didn’t, as he always made her feel guilty—because she did not deserve his love. Why did she suddenly feel the urge to cry?
Was it because she had finally told Raphel her mind? Why did she still feel hurt? She loved him and thought she hadn’t, because she had developed feelings for her husband.
’Was it possible... to actually love two men?’
She knew the king’s relationship and hers had not gone well at the beginning, cause it had been an arranged marriage.
But given that things had not started well between them—he treated her well..she was still in love with Raphel at that time, but then she realized her feelings for the king began to grow.
Now it was clear she was in love with them both... but why?
"Is this truly normal?" she said to herself as she bit her lips, her heart tightening.
"What is normal, wife?" Zoltar’s voice immediately came in, making her body jump backwards in shock. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Diana’s heart leapt as her body almost fell, but was swiftly caught by a strong arm. Her eyes locked with Zoltar’s calm ones as her breathing grew sharp.
Zoltar guided her back up as she straightened herself. She smiled softly, then spoke gently, shifting her gaze. Another guilt crashed on her as she knew she was just going to lie again.
"I was wondering if it was normal to water two different plant in same line. Shouldn’t they have a particular line for each flower?" she asked calmly. It was not really a lie. She had thought of that before. Before she had bumped into Raphel on the road, she had been watering the flowers, so what she had just told her husband was not necessarily a lie.
"It’s not a problem. It could work both ways... but if that is what is bothering you, then we would need to change that," Zoltar spoke.
Diana immediately turned to him, eyes widening. She shook her head. She had not actually expected him to say that. It shocked her even more than she wanted to admit.
"No Ki— Zoltar, I had just made a suggestion, what I had thought. How it is perfect and..."
Her voice trailed off as Zoltar leaned in on her.
He moved his face closer to hers, one small move and their lips would crash. Diana’s face flushed hard at the closeness. He moved his hands as he gently held her chin.
"My wife, if that is what makes you happy, then that is what would be done," he calmly spoke.
Diana slowly nodded, their gaze locked... and then he moved and began undressing.
Diana’s face flushed even more as she did not expect this man to be this shameless. A calm chuckle vibrated through the room.
"Oh wife, I am all yours. Do whatever you want to do with me. I give you that permission, love," he spoke.
Diana smiled, warmth blooming in her chest. She locked gaze with him as she then spoke.
"Are you sure that is what you want, my husband?"
Zoltar, whose hands had moved to pull down his pants, halted in his tracks by her words. He raised his gaze, locked it with hers momentarily and before she knew it—
ZIIP
The pants of Zoltar fell to the floor.
His lips curled up into a cunning smirk. Diana could not help it—she broke into a soft laughter. Her laughter surrounded the room like sunlight blooming on flowers. It shocked Zoltar. Yes, it was nighttime, but it felt totally different from that.
He just stared at her silently in pure shock.
This had been what he had not expected. Normally he knew his wife—she was fond of a light giggle no matter how he cracked a joke. But this one... this one was so natural that it surprised him.
Diana did not know why she was laughing, but she just knew it was funny. She had just teasingly asked him that, and the way his pants had fallen so dramatically—like it was shocked by her question.
A tear fell from her eyes as Zoltar moved to gently wipe it away. It was finally then Diana realized how long she had been laughing.
She smiled as she looked up.
Zoltar finally realized something—she was not the kind who seemed impressed by a joke... she creates hers in her head.
Their eyes locked as Zoltar then spoke softly, his gaze never leaving Diana.
"Tell me, wife, what had made you laugh?" he asked gently.
It replayed one more time in her head and she giggled again.
She moved as she wrapped her hands around him gently, resting her chin on his chest as she looked up at him fondly. Zoltar’s hands moved gently, brushing through her hair.
"Nothing funny, husband. I was just laughing because... uhmm..." Diana bit her lips, trying to hold back the laughter so she could tell him the joke, but it seemed she could not hold it anymore.
She burst into laughter, pressing her face on his chest as she began laughing hard.
Zoltar’s eyes glinted as he began to laugh as well. He wondered what had made his wife laugh. Was it because of the way he had zipped down his pants?
The room was now filled with laughter—Diana laughing because of her husband’s pants, and her husband laughing because he was so happy his wife was alive in his arms.
After some moments, the laughter calmed down a bit. Diana rested her face deeper into his chest as his hands around her waist tightened softly.
He gently pulled away as he moved behind her. Her heart began to race as she waited for him to unstrap her gown. Her husband loved doing this for her—so it was not a new thing.
Her body stiffened lightly as she felt his warm lips at the back of her neck, just when he had pushed her hair to the side.
Then... he began to undo the straps.
Silence fell.
FWOOO
The wind blew to the side, pushing the curtains. The warm sound of the wind echoed through the room, followed by the soft sound of loosening straps.
"My queen... I am thinking we make tonight unforgettable," he spoke calmly, his long black hair falling over his face before his hand sexily pushed it back.
Diana’s lips parted...
And just as she was about to make sense of the situation—
The wind blew, and one of the candles in the chandelier wiped off.
A devilishly sinful grin rested on Zoltar’s face as he spoke in a deep, husky tone.
"It seems the wind are by my side."
Just as those words left his lips—
PIOP
Diana’s gown fell to the floor.
