Chapter 953: Chapter 953: Cooperation

“Stepping into the Martial Saint Realm?” Marc Fraley’s pupils suddenly constricted.

Although some had entered the Martial Saint Realm in this era, they were few and far between.

Even the so-called prodigies like Jackson Harris and Ignacio Burke had not stepped into the Martial Saint Realm.

Not a single one from the younger generation had!

Marc Fraley squinted his eyes, laughing coldly, “Obadiah Heptinstall, feeding people fantasies, that’s also my forte. Why should I believe you without any proof?”

Hearing this, Obadiah Heptinstall couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“Feeding fantasies? You think I’m like you?” Obadiah Heptinstall’s eyes were full of derision.

“Do you know how formidable the Immortal Slaying Sect was back in the day? If it weren’t for the changing times, you wouldn’t even qualify to work with me.”

Marc Fraley scoffed, “Yeah, your Immortal Slaying Sect is indeed mighty, so mighty that it was wiped out by a single person.”

“You’re courting death!”

Upon hearing this, Obadiah Heptinstall flew into a rage!

He grabbed Marc Fraley’s neck and hoisted him into mid-air!

“I’m warning you, you better not mention the affairs of the Immortal Slaying Sect.” In Obadiah Heptinstall’s eyes, murder was abound, and deep within that murderous intent, a hint of horror seemed to be lurking.

Afterward, Obadiah Heptinstall threw Marc Fraley aside.

He took a deep breath and said, “I’ll tell you what I do with these criminals, and how I restored myself to the peak.”

“I’ll pass the secret technique of the Immortal Slaying Sect to you. Once you get this secret technique, stepping into the Martial Saint Realm will be a piece of cake.”

Marc Fraley straightened his clothes, then rose to his feet and said, “Alright, I agree.”

“Then don’t waste any more time, take me there now,” Obadiah Heptinstall said coldly.

“Not now,” Marc Fraley shook his head.

Obadiah Heptinstall’s face turned icy, questioning, “What, are you trying to trick me?”

“No,” Marc Fraley shook his head.

“Even though I’m in charge of the Capital City Martial Arts Association now, Star doesn’t want me to do this.”

“If he tries to stop me, it’s going to be a problem for you as well.”

Obadiah Heptinstall furrowed his brows.

He naturally noticed Star’s dissatisfaction with him.

Although Obadiah Heptinstall wasn’t afraid of Star given his white bone army, if they were to fight, it would be a hassle.

“What do you plan to do?” Obadiah Heptinstall inquired.

Marc Fraley calmly responded, “Give me three days, I’ll get Star out of the way, then I’ll contact you.”

“Three days?” Obadiah Heptinstall thought for a moment, then nodded, “Alright, hope you’ll keep your word.”

Leaving this sentence behind, Obadiah Heptinstall quickly left.

Inside the prison.

Ethan Smith’s sliver of divine sense once again probed into the Spatial Magic Artifact.

Standing at the edge of the abyss, he shouted, “Old geezer, I’ve come to visit you again!”

The abyss below began to tremble, but no one responded.

Ethan Smith chuckled, “Hey you, the old thing stuck in the abyss! I’m calling for you!”

“You little beast, if I ever get out of here, I’ll kill you!” The voice shouted.

Ethan Smith rolled his eyes and said, “Let’s talk about that when you manage to get out. I’m not here today to quarrel with you, but to seek your help.”

“Help? You little beast, I should count my blessings if I don’t kill you, and you want me to help you?” The voice rebuked coldly.

Ethan Smith chuckled, “Don’t get excited, we can make a deal. I won’t use you without offering anything in return.”

The voice hmphed, but didn’t utter a word.

Taking it in stride, Ethan Smith continued, “If you lend me your power, I can help you get out of here. How about that?”

Ethan Smith planned to use the same method that he used against the Earth Fiend Valley Ancestor, to deal with this sliver of light.

Gradually drain the latter’s power, then get rid of him!

“You certainly dream big,” the light sneered from below.

Ethan Smith’s expression changed significantly!

Could it be, was he found out?

“Kid, your little tricks won’t escape my eyes,” the voice scoffed.

“Want to take my power? In your dreams!”

Ethan Smith hastily laughed it off, “I didn’t mean it, I swear, it’s all a misunderstanding!”

“To hell with you!” The voice swore.

Ethan Smith started scratching his head and ears in frustration, but no matter what he said, the voice wouldn’t consent.

This left Ethan Smith sitting depressed on the ground.

“Alas, if you don’t lend me your power, I’m afraid I might not be able to escape either,” Ethan Smith grumbled to himself.

“Escape? What, after bragging to me for half a day, are you also imprisoned?” The voice was filled with sarcasm.

Ethan Smith muttered, “Exactly, they not only locked me up, but also extract my fresh blood daily. Damn it, it’s driving me nuts!”

“Extracting your blood? What, is there something unique about your blood?” the light inquired.

Ethan Smith shook his head, “I don’t know, maybe it’s due to my physical constitution.”

“Constitution? What do you mean?” The voice held a hint of excitement.

“What is your constitution?”

Ethan Smith replied, “Apparently it’s chaotic body, but I don’t really understand.”

“Chaotic body?!” Upon hearing this, the light was, for a moment, visibly excited, its glow even intensified a little!

Ethan Smith grunted in affirmation, “If this keeps up, I’m afraid I might be drained of my blood.”

“Are you sure you’re a chaotic body?” It queried coldly.

Ethan Smith grunted again, saying reluctantly, “Why would I lie to you?”

The light went silent.

After a long while, it suddenly spoke, “Kid, it’s not impossible for me to help you.”

Ethan Smith perked up, hastily saying, “Really?”

“I have a condition.” The voice stated.

“What condition? Say it quickly!” Ethan Smith eagerly responded.

The voice spoke solemnly, “I don’t want someone else’s body, but yours.”

“The two of us, sharing one body. Otherwise, I’m afraid you’ll con me.”

Upon hearing this, Ethan Smith’s eyebrows furrowed deeply.

Sharing a body?

Mallory Poe had said, this sliver of light wasn’t exactly a good sort.

If it was to seize control of his body, that’d be trouble.

“No, I can find you a similar body.” Ethan Smith countered.

“No need.” However, the voice declined outright.

Ethan Smith frowned, “Offering to find you a similar body isn’t good enough?”

“Heh, you think special constitutions are easy to come by? Stop the nonsense, forget it if you don’t agree, think about it yourself,” The voice impatiently quarreled.

Then it sunk into silence, no matter what Ethan Smith said, there was no response.

Ethan Smith, left with no choice, could only depart from the Spatial Magic Artifact for now.
