Chapter 2264: The 2262nd Strongest Combat Power

Ethan Smith sifted through the memories of the Profound Yin Sect disciples, and after retrieving the warship, he arrived in front of the sect almost instantly.

A massive Stone Door loomed ahead, adorned with carvings of various Demonic Beasts. Above it were three large characters written in blood: “Profound Yin Sect.”

“Quite the display of grandeur.”

With one powerful kick, Ethan shattered the massive Stone Door into pieces.

“How dare you! Who dares to intrude on the Profound Yin Sect?!”

Immediately, seven or eight disciples of the Profound Yin Sect surrounded Ethan.

“A Fourth-grade True Saint dares to act so arrogantly? Take him down and break his legs!”

The leading man sneered as he spoke.

Two figures leaped forward, landing in front of Ethan. Their hands carried immense spiritual power, and they grabbed at Ethan’s shoulders from both sides, intending to cripple him on the spot.

*PA!*

Amid a thunderous clap, Ethan stood motionless, allowing their hands to land on his shoulders.

Their forearms were instantly fractured by the enormous force rebounding off Ethan. With a slight shake of his shoulders, a terrifying power surged through their bodies, shattering their internal organs and Divine Souls. Their bodies hit the ground with a thud and immediately disintegrated into a mist of blood.

“What?! You’re Ethan Smith?!”

The leader’s face turned pale. In a panic, he crushed a communication Jade Slip in his hand.

“That damn kid has arrived.”

Alijah Grimes’s face fell instantly.

“Haha, Alijah, how can you, a sect master, be so terrified of a mere Fourth-grade runt? How will you continue to lead your disciples after this?”

A sharp voice rang out; it belonged to none other than the Blood Sect’s Young Master, Zendaya Reed, who had previous grievances with Ethan.

Beside her stood three elders whose strength was unfathomable—the Blood Sect’s mightiest trio: Murian Francis, Triae Francis, and Corey Francis. This trio had been taken in by the Blood Sect Sovereign, Haiden Reed, since childhood. Being his peers from the same era, their power was equally incomprehensible.

After receiving the Profound Yin Sect’s plea for help, Haiden sent the trio along with Zendaya, indicating the gravity of the situation to him.

“That boy is no joke. On the Fire Scale Continent, he took out dozens of people in one move. Both I and the Sovereign suffered severe injuries—I can’t stress enough how dangerous he is.”

Nang Vub interjected hastily.

“A trash killer is still just trash.”

Zendaya smirked and crossed her legs, lounging on the back of a True Saint cultivator.

“You—!”

Nang Vub tried to argue, but Alijah stopped him with a gesture.

“Rest assured, Gu Ming Sect Master. Since we’ve agreed to step in, I guarantee he won’t act arrogantly anymore.”

From a shadowy corner of the Great Hall, a faint smile graced starry-eyed Rosie Lowe’s lips.

Rosie and her Edgeless Team had also answered Gu Ming’s call for aid in exchange for a lucrative reward. To them, even if Ethan had a divine artifact, there was nothing to fear.

Elsewhere, groups of powerhouses also lingered—forces hired by Gu Ming at great expense. These were renowned teams from Purgatory, veteran cultivators who had survived there for countless years and boasted overwhelming strength.

*Like Ethan, Gu Ming’s strategy was simple: protect the sect at all costs. As for the resource-rich territories and Mystic Realms far from here? Those were simply impossible to defend.*

“Gu Ming Elder, don’t forget what you promised. When it comes to the Seventh Layer Secret Realm, you’d better take action.”

Zendaya sneered.

“Since I’ve sworn by the Path of Heaven, I’ll honor my word. But the Blood Sect must remember the slot reserved for me.”

Gu Ming frowned as he responded.

“Of course. This time, there are ten spots granted for the secret realm, and one has already been set aside for you.”

Zendaya spoke nonchalantly, acting as though she owned the place.

*The Seventh Layer Secret Realm? Didn’t Heath Perez previously drag two Blood Sect elders into that?* Ethan wondered. *And judging by the man with the mustache’s scheming demeanor, could it be that the Blood Sect already has a lead on how to access it?*

Ethan advanced through the Profound Yin Sect, killing anyone foolish enough to block his path.

However, most of the sect’s disciples had already received the Sect Master’s orders to stand down, allowing Ethan to advance unimpeded to the main summit. Only a few fools, thinking Ethan’s Fourth-grade cultivation was an easy target, tried to stop him in hopes of earning a reward.

Ethan destroyed the sect-protecting formation with one kick before stepping inside the Great Hall.

“Heh. Such arrogance from a Holy Region cultivator.”

Zendaya sneered.

Dozens of powerful auras locked onto Ethan at once, causing him to furrow his brow.

*So Alijah was clever enough to assume I wouldn’t let him go. In such short notice, he managed to assemble quite a formidable force.*

“Ethan, I recently paid handsomely to the Moon Pavilion for intel. Apparently, the Blood Sect Sovereign possesses a hidden technique capable of killing ninth-grade peak cultivators. If it’s not absolutely necessary, avoid clashing with the Blood Sect.”

Rosie’s message echoed in Ethan’s mind through her transmitted Jade Slip.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here only for the Profound Yin Sect. This has nothing to do with you.”

Ethan frowned as he addressed the crowd.

“We’re standing right here. Do you think it’s unrelated to us?”

Rosie smiled faintly.

“Give us a valid reason. If it sounds good, I might let you off.”

Zendaya grinned menacingly.

“A reason? Well, we have no major quarrel, but my animosity with Alijah goes beyond reconciliation. It’s either his life or mine.”

Ethan chuckled lightly.

“Speak louder. Couldn’t hear you.”

Zendaya mockingly cupped her ear.

“Heh. A coward who preys on the weak.”

Rosie smirked coldly at Ethan’s demeanor.

“Haha! Ethan, where’s your arrogance now?”

Nang Vub laughed wildly, enjoying Ethan’s apparent predicament.

“Ethan, don’t think owning a divine artifact makes you invincible. There are plenty of people here capable of putting you in your place.”

Alijah added with a sneer as he stood up.

*Gathered here were some of Purgatory’s most elite cultivators. As they took their seats, Gu Ming finally felt some sense of relief.*

“Forget it; how boring. I thought you’d put up some fight, but you act like a mutt begging for mercy. Hand over your divine artifact, and I might just let you leave alive.”

Zendaya shook her head in disappointment.

“Kneel, you piece of trash.”

Nang Vub kicked at Ethan’s knee.

“Ah!”

He let out a scream as his own leg fractured upon the impact, almost causing him to collapse.

“Kid, you’re playing with fire.”

Rosie said icily, raising an arrow aimed directly at Ethan.

Several divine senses locked onto him, ready to strike at the slightest move.

“I’d love to see you resist like a real man.”

Zendaya sneered.

“Then, as you wish.”

Ethan suddenly broke the silence.

In a flash, his figure vanished—moving as fast as a shadow. In an instant, he appeared before Zendaya and swung a fierce slap.

“How dare you, scum!”

Murian Francis reacted coldly, unleashing a terrifying force that tore through the Void, blocking Ethan’s strike mid-air.
