There was a racing situation on the highway, and the RV carrying Audrey Sutton and her group was caught in the traffic, moving slowly with intermittent stops.

No one felt annoyed by the jam since they were all playing games inside the vehicle. Scott Sutton was seated by the table next to the window, continuing to work on a puzzle he hadn’t finished.

The phone on the table chimed with a "ding," and Scott glanced at it. Seeing the sender’s name, his hand holding the puzzle piece paused slightly, and then he smiled faintly and reached for the phone to read the message from Evelyn Linton.

After carefully reading it twice, Scott typed a line in reply: I have the keys.

He followed up with another question: Where are you going?

Evelyn, on the other end, didn’t expect Scott to reply so quickly. She paused for a moment when the message popped up, then felt stuck by Scott’s question and hurriedly asked Belle, "How should I reply?"

Belle shook her head helplessly, "You really can’t lie, can you? Just say you’re going home for a bit, or you plan to go out with friends for the day. Just make up a reason."

Evelyn thought, since he couldn’t hear or see her through the phone, Scott wouldn’t know she was lying. So, she simply said: Going out with friends.

She hesitated, and couldn’t help but curiously ask: Where have you been these last two days? It’s your turn to clean.

Scott was straightforward with Evelyn and replied: I’m traveling, and I won’t be back for a while.

Initially, when leaving, he intended to inform Evelyn, but for some reason, he suddenly became curious whether she’d ask about his absence, so he chose to leave without a word.

Now it seemed, this young lady was quite kind-hearted. Even though she had been upset that he lied to her, she still worried about him afterward.

After Scott’s reply, Evelyn felt relieved.

Earlier, she was a bit anxious when Belle mentioned the news.

Though Scott was somewhat odd, he hadn’t done anything terrible. Being so young, if anything happened to him, it would be a pity.

After understanding the situation, Evelyn stopped asking further. Scott stared at the phone screen for about five minutes, seeing that Evelyn hadn’t replied, he put the phone down and continued with his puzzle.

Sitting at the other table and playing mahjong, Audrey Sutton suddenly stood up without saying a word and hurriedly ran towards the restroom, covering her mouth.

Shane Warner, who was looking at documents on his tablet nearby, first froze for a moment, then quickly put down the tablet and followed her.

He heard the sounds of retching from the restroom, and when he pushed open the ajar door, he saw Audrey leaning over the toilet and vomiting.

"What’s wrong?" Shane asked worriedly, as he gathered her loose hair into a bunch with one hand and gently patted her back with the other.

Flora Lane and several others quickly ran over to check, asking, "What happened?"

Laura Yates said, "Maybe it’s the traffic jam, the stop-and-go is making her carsick."

Phoebe King said, "Could she be pregnant?"

After Audrey finished vomiting, she leaned on the toilet for a moment, Shane handed her some tissues to wipe her mouth, and she got up to rinse at the sink, leaning on the basin as she seemed not fully recovered.

Shane couldn’t help but ask softly, "Really pregnant?"

Audrey frowned, as if trying to recall when her last period was, she couldn’t quite remember, nor did she know what was wrong just now.

While playing mahjong earlier, she felt a bit stuffy in her chest, and suddenly her stomach churned.

"It should just be carsickness; there was no issue when we were not in a jam."

Although Audrey said so, Shane was still worried and decided to take Audrey to the nearest hospital for a check-up.

With the current traffic jam, Shane took Audrey back to their own RV, planning to temporarily separate from the group and head directly to the nearest hospital.

Anna was left on the entertainment vehicle, entrusted to Scott Sutton.

Anna wasn’t too clingy; as long as she had food when hungry, a nap when tired, and toys when awake, she wouldn’t fuss.

Back in the RV, Audrey lay down on the bed, feeling much more comfortable after sleeping a bit, she then told Shane, "It should just be carsickness; it was only when the jam started that I felt uncomfortable, now lying down I feel much better."

Still, Shane insisted, "What if you’re pregnant?"

Audrey was also confused; after giving birth to Anna, her periods had been irregular, sometimes not coming for a month and a half, so she wasn’t sure.

Still, it was best to follow Shane’s advice and have a check-up, as there was no harm in it.

The car was stuck on the road for a while, then after exiting the highway, it took about another hour to reach the hospital. Audrey had already fallen asleep in the car.

Shane found a thick jacket from the cabinet, then woke Audrey up and led her straight to the hospital.

Audrey was unsure but when waiting outside the hallway for the results, she felt a little nervous.

She leaned against Shane and asked with a smile, "If it’s true, would you want a brother or sister?"

Shane replied, "That’s not something my wishes can determine; as long as the baby is born safely, either a brother or sister is fine."

Audrey laughed and said, "I rather hope it’s a sister."

Shane turned his head and asked, "Why?"

Audrey mysteriously smiled and shook her head, "Not telling you."

She wanted to see if Shane, in raising a boy versus a girl, would adopt the same parenting style.

Currently, Shane seemed to cultivate Anna’s independence from a young age, using a free-range style.

If they had a daughter, would Shane still foster her the same way?

The others, waiting for Audrey, chose to stop in a city temporarily, deciding to stay there for a day.

Since it was a Friday, traffic was heavier than usual, making the road conditions not very smooth along the way.

After confirming a place to stay, Phoebe King also contacted Stephen Sutton, who had the day off, and had already bought a ticket to come over, probably arriving before dinner.

With shopping malls all around, these women certainly wouldn’t miss any chance to shop.

Lucian Quinn went along to accompany the kids and Flora Lane.

Scott Sutton took Anna out for a stroll by pushing the stroller.

Norman Sutton claimed the hotel was too boring and tagged along.
