Chapter 630: Chapter 630: You Really Are Easy to Fool

In the car, Lana Holloway received a call from her senior, Norman Sutton perked up his ears but couldn’t hear what was said on the other end. He could only judge from Lana Holloway’s response that her senior must have arrived at the place they agreed on.

As they approached the destination, Lana Holloway scanned to make the payment, and as soon as the car stopped, she hurriedly pushed open the door and got out.

Norman Sutton immediately followed her.

The community had an access card system. After Lana Holloway opened the gate, it was meant to close slowly and automatically. However, after entering, she deliberately closed it quickly by hand and flashed a triumphant expression at Norman Sutton before turning to run off.

Norman Sutton didn’t get all riled up at Lana Holloway. Instead, he politely smiled and asked the young lady at the security booth, "Miss, I forgot my key, could you please let me in?"

After successfully sneaking in, Norman Sutton quickly caught up to Lana Holloway’s silhouette.

By the signpost with "Building 11" written on it was parked a black sedan.

Lana Holloway stood by the car, and a man quickly stepped out from inside—it was none other than Senior Wilson.

Norman Sutton straightened his posture, resisting the cold without shivering, and strode boldly towards the two of them.

Lana Holloway, panting, said, "I’m sorry to have kept you waiting, Senior. I still have some details to revise in the painting, I planned to contact you this afternoon."

Zachary Wilson smiled gently and said, "It’s alright, I was just around the school for some errands, so I decided to drop by."

Lana Holloway shyly smiled, her cheeks and nose tinged with red. It wasn’t clear if it was due to the cold weather or the embarrassment from seeing someone she liked. She pursed her lips and pointed to the building behind her, "If you’re not in a rush, Senior, you can come upstairs for a bit, I’ll finish the final touches as quickly as I can."

Zachary Wilson nodded, went to the trunk, and took out several boxes saying, "These are some snacks. They were given to me during my farewell party a few days ago. I don’t really like sweets much, and I noticed you seem to enjoy desserts, so I brought them for you today. They’re all unopened, just pick whatever you like."

Lana Holloway hurried over to help carry a few bags, "Thank you, senior."

Norman Sutton stood nearby and let out a cold snort, deliberately raising his voice to draw their attention, saying, "A few boxes of snacks and you’re satisfied? You’re really easy to please."

These words successfully drew the pair’s attention, the girlish, shy smile on Lana Holloway’s face vanished immediately. Before she could say anything, Zachary Wilson politely stepped up to greet Norman Sutton, "Mr. Sutton, I’ve heard a lot about you."

A poised demeanor sharply contrasted with Norman Sutton’s rudeness.

Norman Sutton sneered, ignoring Senior Wilson’s extended hand, walked over to Lana Holloway, and looked at the bags of snacks she was holding, "Have you not looked in the mirror to see how fat you’ve gotten? Still eating these things?"

Lana Holloway evaded Norman Sutton, moving her hand with the bags behind her as if worried that he would destroy them. She said to Zachary Wilson, "Senior, let’s go upstairs."

Zachary Wilson closed the car door and walked to Lana Holloway’s side, "Let’s go."

"Have you been working at the gallery lately?"

"The gallery hasn’t opened due to the heavy snow, so I haven’t been in these days."

"Alright, take care in the cold, don’t catch a cold, there’s no one around to take care of you."

The two exchanged words as they walked into the building, while Norman Sutton shamelessly whistled, closely following them into the elevator.

Lana Holloway didn’t want to show her uncouth side in front of her senior, so she restrained herself from scolding Norman Sutton and whispered to Zachary Wilson, "Ignore him."

Norman Sutton didn’t start a conversation but whistled louder, the tune being an old cheesy song called "Love’s Deal."

Lana Holloway tried her best to ignore Norman Sutton, as if she was completely unaffected by him, and after pressing the floor button, she continued chatting with Zachary Wilson, "Senior, when are you leaving?"

Zachary Wilson: "Several cities over there have closed their airports due to heavy snow. I originally bought a ticket for the 24th, but I’m not sure about the weather then, I might have to change it."

Lana Holloway paused and said, "Christmas Eve, huh?"

Zachary Wilson: "Only a few days left, I’ll most likely have to reschedule. Do you have plans for Christmas, Lana?"

Lana Holloway shook her head, "Not sure yet, the club seems to have activities, but they’re voluntary, can go or not."

Norman Sutton deliberately raised the volume, turning it into something akin to noise.

"Norman Sutton!" Lana Holloway couldn’t stand it anymore and turned to shout at him.

Norman Sutton: "What? Is the elevator yours? Can the two of you talk and I can’t make a sound?"

Zachary Wilson smiled and asked Norman Sutton, "Does Mr. Sutton also live here?"

Norman Sutton: "Do I look like someone who lives in this shabby place?"

Lana Holloway: "Then why are you following us?"

Norman Sutton chuckled, and went over to drape an arm around Zachary Wilson’s shoulder, saying, "Of course, to chat with our dear Senior Wilson. I heard he’s about to go abroad for further studies, so I seized this chance to spend more time with him."

"Ding-dong——" The elevator door opened.

Lana Holloway watched Norman Sutton lead Zachary Wilson out of the elevator, feeling somewhat helpless.

Norman Sutton looked back after exiting the elevator and asked, "Which way, Lana?"

Zachary Wilson noticed Lana’s frustration and suggested, "How about this, Lana, you go back and finish the painting. Once done, you can contact me and I’ll come to get it later. I just remembered there’s something I need to buy and won’t bother you anymore."

Norman Sutton stepped in, saying, "No, we’re already at your doorstep, come in for a cup of tea."

Zachary Wilson said, "Mr. Sutton, maybe we should find a café outside to chat? It’s not convenient for two men to enter a girl’s house."

Norman Sutton snorted and laughed, "You do know it’s inappropriate to enter a girl’s home casually, huh? If I hadn’t tagged along, you’d probably waltz in and out without a care."

Lana Holloway pinched Norman Sutton hard from behind, he frowned and looked back at her, playfully saying, "Lana, why are you touching me? Can’t bear to see me leave?"

Zachary Wilson glanced at the two, remaining gentle and polite in tone, "I’ll help you carry the stuff inside."

Lana Holloway nodded and immediately took the lead, "Thank you, senior."

Watching Zachary Wilson only place the items by the door without entering, Norman Sutton didn’t linger either. As he left, he deliberately said, "Lana, thanks for the scarf. I’ll wash it and return it another day."

Lana Holloway immediately worriedly glanced at Zachary Wilson, fearing he might misunderstand something. Yet, she felt she had neither the status nor the reason to explain anything to him. After a moment of silence, she reluctantly waved goodbye to Zachary Wilson, "Goodbye, senior..."

Norman Sutton: "And me?"

Lana Holloway rolled her eyes at Norman Sutton, and slammed the door shut with a "bang."
