Chapter 610: Chapter 610: We’ll Talk About It Later

Faye Xavier confiscated her identification, and after checking, Jasmine Lucas realized that even if she reported it lost and got a replacement, it would take at least three to five days. Clearly, escaping wasn’t an option.

Even if Ed’s plan succeeded, Jasmine Lucas wouldn’t get far. If Faye Xavier caught her again, who knows what more twisted ways he’ll come up with to punish her.

Thinking about it, Jasmine Lucas considered just admitting defeat, swallowing her pride, and pleading with him. Maybe if she could make him happy, he’d let it go?

With this in mind, Jasmine Lucas told Ed to retreat for now, as she couldn’t leave anyway.

After arriving at the hotel, Faye Xavier first had Jasmine Lucas move her luggage to the room, and holding onto her passport, he wasn’t worried about her escaping.

Faye Xavier confirmed the work schedule with Julian Bishop, knowing they would be dealing with jet lag today and starting work only in the morning, so he whistled a tune back to his room.

Opening the door, he was met with a confusing scene.

The bed was a mess, scattered with cash, and Jasmine Lucas sat on the edge, counting the money with her legs crossed.

Faye Xavier closed the door and walked over, "What are you doing?"

Jasmine Lucas finished counting the last few bills in her hand, then turned to Faye Xavier and said, "President Xavier, it was my fault before. I misunderstood you. Please don’t hold it against me and let this go."

Faye Xavier frowned at her, not speaking, unsure of what trick she was up to now.

Jasmine Lucas divided the money on the bed into two piles, one noticeably larger. She pointed to the larger pile and said to Faye Xavier, "I counted it, roughly three hundred thousand. This is all the money left in your account. I’ll return this three hundred thousand to you. The remaining thousands can be my travel expenses back home. I’ve come all this way, I should at least enjoy a few days here. Consider it your last breakup fee for me, okay?"

Faye Xavier sneered, "You think three hundred thousand is enough to dismiss me?"

Jasmine Lucas frowned with difficulty, "You can see that’s all that’s left. I can’t give you more, President Xavier. Be generous and forgive me this time."

Faye Xavier laughed, sat casually next to Jasmine Lucas, hooked his arm around her shoulder like a buddy, and tapped her shoulder, then pointed his chin at the deflated black backpack at the bed’s edge, "When I looked earlier, this backpack was stuffed full. You mean to tell me such a big pack only holds thirty-some thousand? You think I’ve never seen this much money or that I’m an idiot to believe your nonsense?"

Jasmine Lucas quickly said, "There were other things in the bag earlier, full of cosmetics below, search if you don’t believe me. If you find any other money, you can have it all!"

Listening to Jasmine Lucas’s confident response, Faye Xavier still didn’t trust her, glancing around the room before standing up to check her suitcase, indeed finding only clothes and toiletries.

Jasmine Lucas: "See, check all you want. At this point, why would I lie to you?"

Faye Xavier stood up, opened a few drawers and secret compartments under the wall desk while Jasmine Lucas stood nearby and said, "How can you have no trust at all? I’ve shown you everything I have, and you still doubt me."

"Trust you?"

Jasmine Lucas plopped back onto the bed, scrolling through her phone, "Take your time looking then."

As Faye Xavier closed the drawer and was about to rise, he suddenly noticed something strange under the bed.

He smiled secretly, walked over, lifted the bed skirt, and Jasmine Lucas, pretending to look at her phone, widened her eyes as she saw Faye Xavier pull a black plastic bag from under the bed.

Jasmine Lucas’s mind went blank at that moment. Wasn’t he easy to fool before? Why is he suddenly so cautious now?!

Faye Xavier opened the plastic bag, dumped a whole bag of money onto the bed, and looked at Jasmine Lucas, "How do you explain this?"

Jasmine Lucas’s mind churned quickly. She immediately pretended to be shocked, asking him, "Where did you find that?! So much money?! Could it be left by the previous hotel guest?!"

"Keep acting! Keep it up! You won’t shed tears until you see the coffin!"

Saying this, Faye Xavier tossed the bag, removed his coat, and pulled Jasmine Lucas’s arm to throw her into the center of the bed.

The money scattered on the bed fell to the floor.

Jasmine Lucas gasped, feeling her hands tightly bound by Faye Xavier, knowing she couldn’t win in a physical struggle. She quickly admitted defeat, begging, "Brother Xavier, Brother Xavier, I was wrong! I was wrong! You can have all the money back. I only want the few thousand left, okay?"

Faye Xavier yanked off the belt from the waist of Jasmine Lucas’s jeans, wrapping it around her wrists, laughing as he said, "I told you, you can pay me back, two million, not a penny less."

Jasmine Lucas looked at Faye Xavier with a distressed face, "Brother, you can’t be unreasonable! Do I look like someone who has two million? This is really all I have. You can check me out. If you find any personal assets under my name, you can have it all!"

Faye Xavier gritted his teeth, tightened the belt until her hands couldn’t move at all.

Slowly fastening the belt buckle, he leaned in with a grin and asked, "Can’t pay with money, no worries. There are other options."

Faye Xavier sat on Jasmine Lucas’s legs, leisurely unbuttoning his shirt, seeing Jasmine Lucas anxiously say, "Brother, calm down! Let’s talk about this, shall we? More friends, more options in the future. Let’s not burn bridges, shall we? In the future, if Brother Xavier needs anything and Lucas can help, Lucas would climb mountains and go through fire without hesitation!"

Faye Xavier smiled wickedly, deliberately misinterpreting one of Jasmine Lucas’s words, "We’ll see in the future."

"Brother, you see, you’re a perfect man with looks and wealth that’s rare even in a millennium. Can’t you find any woman? These exotic foreign beauties, fair-skinned, beautiful, tall, just say the word, and I guarantee to find a perfect one for you."

Faye Xavier reached out to undo the button on Jasmine Lucas’s jeans, "Stop blabbering, save some energy to make it sound good later."

Seeing Faye Xavier getting serious, Jasmine Lucas quickly said, "I’ll pay! I’ll pay! I’ll give you back the two million!"

Faye Xavier paused, smiling as he asked, "With what? Selling yourself to someone else is not as convenient as selling yourself to me, it’s easier. And others might not offer as high a price as I do, don’t you think?" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Jasmine Lucas: "Give me some time, I have lots of things at home I can pawn. I’ll go back, handle those things, borrow some from friends, a week! I promise to pay you back in full in a week!"
