Chapter 547: Chapter 547: The Most Eye-Catching Star in the Crowd

Having the experience of ironing Shane’s shirts, I’m no longer awkward when using the iron like I was the first time.

Thinking back to when I was at home, I didn’t need to do these things myself, but after marrying Shane, I’ve learned quite a lot.

I might still be a bit away from being the perfect wife and mother, but I feel pretty good about myself.

At least now, we’re both living comfortably, and neither of us gets hung up on who contributes more to the household.

When Shane came back from work, he saw Audrey trying on a women’s Hanfu in front of the full-length mirror at the entrance.

"What are you up to again?"

Audrey smiled at him and said, "You’re off work, huh?"

Shane frowned at the clothes in her hand, "Are you going on TV too?"

Audrey shook her head, ran over to grab the men’s Hanfu, and pushed it into his hands, "Try it on and see if it fits."

Shane raised his eyebrows high, looking slightly disdainful at the "weird outfit" in his hands, asking, "What are you planning this time?"

Audrey: "Tomorrow is the Comic-Con, wear this. You promised to go with me."

Shane: "But I didn’t promise to go with you dressed in this thing."

Anticipating his refusal, Audrey started her flattering mode: "With your great physique, handsome looks, and that mix of refined and commanding aura like an ancient noble, if you wear this, I guarantee you’ll be the most dazzling guy there tomorrow."

Shane coldly refused: "No need."

Seeing that tactic didn’t work, Audrey switched to a cutesy mode, shaking his arm and saying, "Come on~ just wear it with me. It’s a couple’s set, if you don’t wear it with me, who will?"

Shane coldly gazed at her; he didn’t nod but didn’t refuse either.

Seeing this trick might have worked a little, Audrey continued, "After all, we did a photoshoot in this style before, so it’s not the first time for you. Besides, many people will be dressed like this at the Comic-Con, and no one will find it strange. Plus, it’s our country’s traditional attire, promoting our long-standing history and culture. Don’t you think?"

Shane just looked at her, expressionless and silent.

Audrey looked at him with big, expectant eyes, full of starry hope, making it hard for anyone to utter a refusal. Thus, Shane reached out and took the clothes from her hand, coldly saying four words: "Just this once."

Audrey laughed happily, nodding enthusiastically, thinking in her heart, as long as this gets done, she’ll figure out next time later.

Shane cooperated with her to try it on, and the size was just right.

With his tall stature holding up the slightly loose ancient-styled outfit, Audrey lowered her head to adjust his belt, saying, "Tomorrow morning, a makeup artist will come to put on a wig for you. You’ll look even more ethereal then."

Shane just maintained a stern face, letting her fuss over him.

Seeing the joyful smile on her face, he had no grievances. The doctor mentioned that when a woman is pregnant, you need to focus on her mental health, maintaining a good mood, so he had to comply, as long as she was happy.

Audrey was so fixated on the event that she got up early with Shane.

Shane, as usual, went to the gym to finish his workout.

When he went to the gym, Audrey was tinkering with her clothes; when he came back, Audrey was still busy with the same.

Hearing her happily humming a tune, Shane didn’t scold her or dampen her spirits. He quietly took his pajamas to the bathroom for a shower and then repeated yesterday’s dressing process.

While she was adjusting the accessories at his waist, the doorbell rang downstairs.

The makeup team arrived, comprising three people, a makeup artist, and two assistants, making it look like they were about to get married again.

The team was professional and swift. Originally, Audrey planned to leave at nine, but by eight, the styling was done.

After seeing the makeup team off, she started a frantic selfie session with her phone, dragging Shane into the photos as well.

Looking at the girly bunny and cat ear stickers, Shane was forced to keep smiling.

Finally, when the breakfast ordered on the delivery app arrived, Shane was relieved.

The venue was the same as before, and when Shane and Audrey arrived, Barry and the others were already present. They had agreed in the group chat yesterday to all wear ancient-style clothing.

Flora and Seraphina didn’t have time to buy new ones, but in Barry’s closet, they could casually find two outfits. Most of her clothes had been used for a photoshoot once and then left in the wardrobe, many sent by brands for promotional shoots, which Barry couldn’t wear all.

In this setting, girls in ancient attire are common, but when a guy strolls around in such clothing, it becomes a spectacle.

Especially someone like Shane, who’s tall, handsome, and particularly elegant-looking.

Plus, with today’s deliberate stylish preparation and the paper fan Audrey gave him, he looked like he traveled through time from the past.

Shane’s expression was cold as ever, but it matched his look today, with an aura that discouraged casual disruptions, giving off a refined and aloof aura. Anyway, Audrey felt that bringing him along today would definitely earn her plenty of face.

Unexpectedly, as soon as they entered, in the row of posters at the entrance, they saw a poster of Clarissa.

The first reaction was some surprise at Clarissa appearing at such an unrelated event, but then seeing the poster mainly promoted Vanessa’s comic, with Clarissa and Simon as special guests who would have an interaction and exchange session at the venue later.

Probably due to Simon’s promotion at this Comic-Con, the event was noticeably livelier than before.

Vanessa’s comic might gain a larger sales boost thanks to Simon’s promotion, and today Vanessa might end up signing so much that her hand cramps.

When Audrey contacted Vanessa, Vanessa said she was on her way.

Pinnacle Comics is one of the organizers of this Comic-Con, and after Laura Yates was promoted, she became the representative for this event, arriving early at seven in the morning, bustling non-stop.

Audrey also took a liking to several BL booklets. Considering Shane’s outfit today, she didn’t want to leave him alone, fearing that the moment she left, Shane would get surrounded by a bunch of dolled-up ladies.

So Audrey asked Flora and Seraphina to help purchase the booklets later, of course, promising them a few hot pot meals.

She held Shane’s hand as they leisurely strolled through the venue when suddenly, in the bustling crowd, she spotted a familiar figure looking around like they were searching for something.

Audrey pulled Shane through the crowd, grabbed the person’s arm, frowning and asked, "Norman Sutton, what are you doing here?"
