Zhao Lifei's eyes fluttered shut. Yang Feng was slowly kissing her and savoring every second of their interaction. Never once did his hands slip from her waist or elude a different meaning. He kissed her as if he was memorizing the taste of her lips, the way they were shaped, and how they molded perfectly against his greedy ones. He poured his emotions into the kiss, the ones he couldn't utter. Her fingers rested upon his cheek, almost understanding the meaning behind his gentle kiss. Loved. Cherished. These were the last emotions she felt before falling asleep in his arms.

Yang Feng laid in bed wide awake while she was cuddled into his side. He continued to pat her back, as one would do to a child. When she shared the story with him, he had to force himself to stay calm. His hands had itched to wrap themselves around Zheng Tianyi's neck and bring that man to ruins. His body was mellow like his reaction, but his mind was silently calculating and plotting the downfall of that man.

"Hehe...Fengfeng…" Zhao Lifei wistfully babbled in her sleep with a serene cloud dangling over her. The moonlight added an ethereal glow to her. Even when she slept, she resembled a fairy fleeing from Heaven to mingle with the humans. "Hm...I love...you." She nearly punched him in the face by abruptly spreading her arms. "This much."

His heart stopped beating.

Even in her sleep, she enjoyed torturing him like this. How was that fair? Why did she have to be so damn adorable? He wanted to hug her to death.

Reluctantly, he got out of bed. He turned to her and began to pull the blanket to her chin and adjusting her head to a better sleeping position. Once he ensured she was sleeping on cloud nine, he made his way to the office.

In the silence of the night, Yang Feng poured himself a glass of a century-old wine. Sitting in the enormous leather chair, from a distance, one would think that he was a King. The moonlight cast a ghastly glow over him, drawing all of the lost souls toward his regal figure. He stared out the large window overlooking the unmoving garden. Not a single creature was roaming at night, not even fireflies or crickets. It was as if the world already knew he was ready to unleash his anger.

Never once did he take a sip of the wine. The face of a particular woman flashed in his mind and before he knew it, the cup was settled back onto his desk. His airy steps made their way to the extremely small safe concealed in a hidden compartment underneath a painting. It revealed a small button which he took and brought to the paper-weight on his desk. He placed the button into the hand of the knight who revealed a key.

It was time to ruin Zheng Tianyi once and for all. This time, it was not through small provocations or jabs. Using the key, he unlocked a hidden drawer where a small device could be found. He turned it on and it revealed the changed number of a man he knew all too well.

Yang Feng typed the number into his phone and in the first ring, a man picked up. "I never expected to see your number again. How long has it been since the last time you called me?"

"Nearly a decade." Yang Feng's humorless voice made the man on the other line let out a smooth chuckle.

"Tough as a rock, as always. So what's up? What happened?"

"Gather the Imperial Team."

Jing Yiren sat upon his chair. He abandoned the puzzle pieces he was currently assembling. His cheerful face was wiped of any emotion. "The entire team?" He asked, standing up and making his way to the communication room. There, he typed in a series of complicated codes comprised of solely digits.

Yang Feng had an endless variety of Underlings and resources spread throughout the country. Some even penetrated foreign lands and occupied his territory there.

Each mission in the Underworld was handled by different squadrons, starting from the lowest Rank D to the supreme SS.

The Imperial Team was simply too powerful to be placed on a scale. It was comprised of the most skilled people, so much so that their skills were beyond this world. Even to this day, everyone thought they were nothing but a child's fable made up to keep people in check. Nonetheless, it was still passed down from generation to generation and each mouth it went through, the team's description would be more vicious.

Unbeknownst to everyone else, the Imperial Team was still active. A few of the members lived ordinary lives and blended perfectly in the crowd. Some lingered in the Underworld, pretending to be a mediocre member whilst others trained from morning to night without a break. No one would've been able to distinguish their identity.

All of them were always concealed in the shadows, roaming the darkness, waiting for the opportunity to pounce like the beast of twilight.

There was a long pause before Yang Feng uttered, "The entire team."

It was these three words that sent the entire Underground into chaos.

The next morning.

Zhao Lifei woke up to a cold and empty bed. She touched the spot beside her and realized it had been unoccupied for a while now. 'Where did he go?' She checked the clock and saw it was the time he would usually wake up. 'That's strange, did he leave for work earlier today?'

She shrugged off the thought and climbed out of bed. She was glad her body was not so sensitive and sore anymore, which allowed her to freely move around. Making her way to the bathroom, she brushed her teeth, took a shower, and then got dressed for the day. With a few minutes to spare, she opened the fridge and looked for anything to eat. Her eyes lit up when she saw a parfait in a mason glass jar with a yellow note attached to it.

"Good morning, my love. I left for work earlier than usual. Make sure to eat something else besides this." - From your loving hubby, Fengfeng ♥

Zhao Lifei smiled at the note and decided to slip it into her wallet, hiding it behind her credit cards, then grabbed the parfait and a spoon. She passed by the trash can and noticed the crumpled balls of paper in there. Paying it no mind, she hurried out the door and got into her car.

Strolling into Feili, Zhao Lifei placed her handbag in the office first before checking the time. The guest should be there by now. She made her way to the door only for it to swing open and in walked Huo Qiudong with a disgruntled look on his face.

"President, you have a lot of work and reports to look over." He nodded his head towards the employees behind him who carried in a stack of neatly organized folders. Afterward, they all left. "I have finished all of the work for next week."

Zhao Lifei chuckled at his words. "As expected of a workaholic."

"So, that is why…" He awkwardly coughed, his ears reddening. "I...I would like to request the day off today."

Zhao Lifei checked the time and saw it was only nine in the morning. "Well, I don't see why not." She shrugged, "Please enjoy your day off. You need it after working for so long." Patting his shoulder, she was prepared to leave him alone, but he grabbed her sleeves.

"A-and I would like to ask about something."

"Oh, what is it?" She turned around to face him. His nervousness was adorable. She wanted to tease him about his light blush, but she was also confused as to why he seemed so anxious.

"Is Miss Ruqin free today?"

Silence.

Zhao Lifei did a double-take at his words and stared at him like he had grown three heads.

"W-what is it?" He tried to sound tough but sounded like a kid instead.

All of a sudden, Zhao Lifei clapped her hands and loudly laughed. If she could, she would've jumped up and down. "Oh my goodness, you're such a cutie!" She squealed, standing on her tippy-toes to pinch his cheek.

"I'm sure Qinqin has nothing on her schedule today." She rushed to the desk, scribbled something down on a piece of paper and then approached him again. "You probably already have it, but here is her contact information, her email, hell, here's her address as well. Have fun! Make sure to use protection!" Then she waltzed out of the room, leaving a dumbfounded and highly embarrassed man standing at her door.
