Chapter 984: Chapter 984: I’ll Feed You Until You’re Full

Ann Vaughn believed she was stealthily glancing, unaware that Cyrus Hawthorne had already caught her little actions, a slight curve on his thin lips.

"What are you looking at?"

Caught red-handed, Ann Vaughn wasn’t upset at all. She replied boldly, "Looking at whose boyfriend is so handsome."

Cyrus raised an eyebrow slightly, lowered his hand to pinch her cheek, and said with a low chuckle, "When did my girlfriend sneak a taste of honey? Your little mouth is so sweet."

Ann Vaughn’s bright eyes twinkled, and she grinned mischievously, beckoning him with a small finger. "It can be even sweeter. Want to hear?"

Cyrus paused from drying her hair, leaned in and moved closer to her face.

The next second, a soft touch with a faint fragrance landed on his lips, leaving a light "mwah" sound as it departed.

"I like you." Ann Vaughn wrapped her arms around Cyrus Hawthorne’s neck, snuggling affectionately into his neck, her voice soft and sweet like strawberry-flavored cotton candy, making one’s heart flutter.

Who could stand such sweetness?

Cyrus’ narrow eyes deepened, his arms around her waist suddenly tightened, his long fingers becoming pale.

Ann Vaughn clearly sensed his breath becoming heavier, the arms around her waist tightening as if trying to snap her in half.

He’s losing control?

A mischievous look flashed in Ann Vaughn’s eyes. She turned her head slightly and blew softly at Cyrus’ ear.

"Brother, I really like you." Her soft, lingering voice was like a siren’s song, luring sailors to crash, immensely enticing.

Just as she finished speaking, Ann Vaughn felt her body tilt back, with her whole being pressed down onto the sofa behind.

Cyrus’ dark eyes became even more profound, looking bottomless, filled only with unmasked desire.

His glance seemed to ignite a fire out of nowhere, making Ann Vaughn’s skin feel warm.

Realizing she needed to retreat, she scooted backward, offering him a pleading smile. "Well, I’m a bit hungry..."

"No rush." Cyrus’ Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he firmly pressed Ann Vaughn’s small hands to the top of her head, leaned in closer, and bit her collarbone. "I’ll feed you now."

Taking her health into consideration, he initially planned to let her go.

But no man, facing such teasing from the one he loves, could remain unmoved and unaffected.

Ann Vaughn was like honey soaked in poison to Cyrus Hawthorne, knowing it was addictive, yet willingly sinking into it.

Since she ignited this fire, it wouldn’t make sense not to put it out.

Ann Vaughn wanted to say something, but Cyrus sealed her lips with a kiss, blocking all her words, leaving her to let out a few pitiful whimpers.

Just when Ann Vaughn thought there was no escape today, the door suddenly knocked.

"Annie, are you awake?" Eli Sheridan’s warm voice came from outside, making Ann Vaughn’s mind go blank.

Cyrus’ body stiffened, his slightly rough breath brushed against her neck. After adjusting his breath, he slowly got up from her.

Ann Vaughn quickly sat up as well, her face as red as a peach.

What’s this feeling of doing something bad behind a parent’s back?!

"You haven’t eaten much since noon yesterday," Eli Sheridan said worriedly from outside the door. "Your brother made your favorite crystal pumpkin porridge and steamed buns with dates. Please eat a little, okay?"

Hearing this, Cyrus looked up at Ann Vaughn as he helped straighten her clothes, his brow furrowed slightly.

"I-I’ll wash up and come down right away!" Ann Vaughn responded hastily towards the door.

"Okay, I’ll wait for you downstairs." Eli Sheridan finally felt relieved and went downstairs.

Hearing the footsteps fade away, Ann Vaughn finally exhaled and asked Cyrus, "Want to have breakfast with us?"

"If your brother sees us going downstairs together, he might come after me with a knife." Cyrus’ lips curled as he ruffled her hair.

Ann Vaughn imagined the scene briefly, shivered, and pushed him away, "Then forget it. You better go back before my brother sees you."

Saying this, she suddenly remembered something and asked, "Didn’t you say you’d return next week? Why did you come back early?"

"Hmm." Cyrus replied casually, "Finished work early, so I returned early."

Ann Vaughn didn’t suspect anything and left the room only after Cyrus departed. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Outside villa 16, Sept was pacing back and forth like an ant on a hot pan, occasionally peeking inside.

Finally seeing Cyrus emerge, Sept immediately approached and said anxiously, "Sir, Blackhold Nine keeps calling, asking when you’ll return. Should I book a ticket now or..."

"No need." Cyrus had no intention of explaining further and walked toward Villa 8.

Sept wanted to cry but had no tears.

He thought there was an urgent matter to handle, which was why sir had left the once-a-month meeting at Blackhold Nine to rush back to the country.

If that was the case, he could at least explain to them.

But it turned out sir returned just for Miss Vaughn, so how could he explain this??

That woman was truly trouble...

And what was the trouble doing now?

After finishing the caring breakfast, listening to Eli Sheridan’s admonitions, and promising never to go on a diet again, Ann Vaughn finally got through it.

Luckily, the dieting excuse worked well, or she really wouldn’t know how to explain yesterday’s incident.

Just when she was feeling relieved, she heard Eli Sheridan speak again.

"By the way, Kenny got sick after coming back last night. Do you want to check on him later?"

"Kenny is sick?!" Ann Vaughn’s eyes widened, and she even left the pumpkin porridge in her bowl, standing up to rush out, "I’ll go check on him!!"

She ran all the way to Villa 8, and just as she was about to go upstairs, she saw Kenny bouncing down the stairs.

He looked lively and energetic, with no sign of being sick.

Before Ann Vaughn could even question it, her heart was already filled with joy.

"Kenny!"

Kenny raised his little head at the sound, and upon seeing Ann Vaughn standing downstairs, his eyes lit up, and he took a few steps forward, hugging her leg with a thud.

"Mommy! Kenny missed Mommy sooooooo much every day! Did Mommy miss Kenny?"

"Of course, I did!" Ann Vaughn hugged his chubby little body and planted a big kiss on his little face, "Mommy missed my sweetie so much!"

No kidding, she hadn’t found her meals tasty without the little dumpling around these days.

A day without the little dumpling, and she even lost her motivation for work.

The little dumpling snuggled affectionately against her neck, his eyes like stars curving into a satisfied smile.

"Mommy, Kenny brought you a present!" Saying this, the little dumpling took Ann Vaughn’s hand and led her to the backyard.
