"In-law, how about this? The Sterling Family will cover your medical and other expenses, as well as ensuring that James properly disciplines Nancy."

"Do you think the Ford Family is out of money?"

The Dowager Kane retorted sarcastically.

"Miss Su, you had someone knock me out. Now that this matter is in the police’s hands, you might suffer even more."

When Serena Sullivan came in, the Dowager Kane knew she was the cherished granddaughter of the Sterling Family, thus she addressed her as "Miss Su."

"It would also bring disgrace to the Sterling Family."

"Hmm!"

Serena responded, and her reply caused Mrs. Sterling to angrily question, "Nancy, do you think this is a place where you can speak recklessly?"

This child was frightened by just a word or two from the Dowager Kane! She couldn’t handle the consequences of going to the Ford Family.

"In-law," Mrs. Sterling smiled, continuing to engage with the Dowager Kane, but Serena cut in, saying, "Madam, I’m in favor of you calling the police!"

The Dowager Kane thought Serena was agreeing to go to the Ford Family, but she had actually agreed to involve the police.

Mrs. Sterling was taken aback, looking puzzled at Serena, who wore a playful smile.

"Call the police!"

Serena continued with a smile, "And let’s also resolve how my car got hit!"

Mrs. Sterling looked at Serena. Mrs. Sterling had called only to mention the incident with the Dowager Kane being hit, "Nancy, what’s going on here?"

The Dowager Kane’s expression changed.

Serena smiled slightly, addressing the now visibly upset Dowager Kane, "The Dowager’s driver accidentally hit the car I was in. My husband, Ethan Grant, didn’t make a fuss on behalf of the Sterling Family, but when driving away, he put it in the wrong gear, thereby hitting the Ford’s car."

"You clearly did this on purpose as revenge."

Ethan had driven forward a bit before reversing.

Wrong gear! Such a flimsy excuse; the Dowager Kane didn’t believe it.

Serena sincerely said, "The driver who hit us was in the wrong, seemingly ramming us on purpose, but Ethan genuinely made a mistake."

She didn’t believe it either; the Ford Family hadn’t accidentally crashed into their car!

After leaving the restaurant, the Ford Family’s car had followed them, and when Ethan accelerated, the car hit them.

Serena smiled as she spoke to Mrs. Sterling, "I just apologized to the Madam, so she should also offer me one. Let’s call it even."

The wrinkled old servant agreed, stepping past Mrs. Sterling and moving to Serena’s side. Just as his hand reached out towards the wheelchair, before he could touch it, Mrs. Sterling threw the teacup she was holding forcefully at the old servant, spilling the hot tea all over her.
