The Dowager Grant really wanted to knock some sense into her, but when she glanced down at Serena’s legs, her mouth moved but she ultimately didn’t lose her temper or resort to violence.

Serena had actually fallen asleep in the car.

She had been racking her brain over designing a necklace these past two days, exhausting so many brain cells, her nerves were constantly tense. Once in the car, she relaxed and fell asleep even amidst the Dowager Grant’s anger.

She was woken up by the Dowager Grant, and upon opening her eyes, she found they had already arrived at the hospital.

"When you see the Dowager Kane, be more respectful."

The Dowager Grant said peevishly.

Serena did not reply; not even an "um" escaped her lips.

Seeing Serena’s attitude, the Dowager became even more furious and walked faster.

The Dowager Grant, seated by the bed, noticed the coldness on Dowager Kane’s face but acted as if she hadn’t seen it. She smiled and said to Dowager Kane, "Hasn’t the Dowager met my granddaughter?"

"She belongs to James Sterling’s family."

"What do you mean by that?" Dowager Kane picked up on the dissonance – did the Dowager Grant not know about Serena’s car accident incident, or was she deliberately bringing it up!

"Introducing my granddaughter to see you!"

The Dowager Grant replied, "James and Lana have always wanted a daughter; they were thrilled when this girl suddenly appeared."

"He and Lana dote on her!"
