Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 418 - 417: Smash It Again
The servant’s words made Renee feel like slapping them; this is The Grant Family, her territory, and yet, the servant dared to throw her son out!
This anger pressed down on her chest, making her incredibly uncomfortable.
In the end, she didn’t slap them; no matter how unwilling she was, she had to admit that The Grant Family had changed hands, and Ethan no longer listened to her commands.
Ethan went to the living room and sat beside Serena.
He was holding the fruit platter for Serena; whatever she liked to eat, he fed her.
The Matron Grant watched these two and the more she looked, the more she felt they were a perfect match.
Especially seeing the smile on Ethan’s face and the unwavering happiness in his eyes, it truly was wonderful!
"Serena, what would you like for dinner!"
"I’m not sure if the dishes here suit your taste." The Matron Grant smiled and asked, knowing that Ethan had brought Serena here, she couldn’t wait to prepare all the dishes in the house.
It’s the first time her daughter-in-law visits, she must be well entertained. What if she doesn’t come next time!
If her son doesn’t come either, it would be even worse!
"I’m fine with whatever."
The Matron Grant gave a smile, and Serena returned a smile.
"She likes my fish."
Ethan said with a hint of pride, while Serena wanted to say that she’s tired of his fish.
She wonders if she said she liked meat, would he make meat for her every day.
"Ethan can cook!"
The Matron Grant asked in surprise, she knew her son more or less.
Her son detested going into the kitchen.
She looked at Serena again, her gaze turning even softer, "Thank you."
The Matron Grant suddenly said sincerely, lowering her head, her gaze fell on Serena’s legs.
Those legs are ruined, it’s such a pity, but nothing is more important than seeing her son’s smile.
Serena understood what The Matron Grant was thankful for, she thought, who knows if after some time, The Matron Grant might end up hating her!
"Serena."
The Matron Grant asked again, "Can your legs still be treated?"
Sitting in a wheelchair all day, it’s troubling to see.
Serena shook her head, "Not sure! Ethan said he’ll take me abroad to check soon."
"Good, good!"
Upon hearing this answer, The Matron Grant’s eyes were filled with joy; for the past four years, because the relationship between Ethan and Mr. Grant was tense, she practically lost this son.
With Serena’s return, she felt her life gained more color, from the bottom of her heart she hoped Serena would recover.
"You’ll definitely get better!"
She said with a smile, and upstairs, a slow, indifferent voice of an elder sounded.
"Even if the legs recover, it’s useless!"
"What use is a woman who can’t bear children?"
Renee heard the voice at the entrance, looking up to see the elder being supported by a servant, slowly coming downstairs, followed by Mr. Grant, she happily went over, "Grandmother!"
The elder came down, supported by Renee, into the reception area.
She stood in front of Serena, coldly scrutinizing Serena up and down.
The elder’s gaze was too cold, too piercing, making Serena feel uncomfortable.
"Grandmother, your grandson is also ruined."
Ethan faintly continued the conversation, his gaze scanned Renee beside the elder, "Ruined by your precious granddaughter."
Ethan did not mind bringing up the matter of his own impairment.
The Grant Family cutting off future generations, it was all their own doing! 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Ethan, is this how you talk to your grandmother!" Mr. Grant behind him scolded dissatisfiedly.
"This is how I am." Ethan replied with a cold laugh, "Right, grandmother happened not to be home that day, didn’t see me smashing up The Grant Residence!"
"How about I do it again!"
