Ruth Hale understood what Serena Sullivan was saying and realized there was no point in arguing anymore.

She sat powerlessly on the chair beside her, looking at Claire Sullivan and then at Serena Sullivan; today, she had fallen into the trap set by the mother and daughter.

She laughed sarcastically, "Just one step away."

"You’re really ruthless, letting Zoe Quinn call another woman ’mom’ for so many years." Serena Sullivan sneered, continuing, Ruth Hale indeed had great patience, or you could say the whole family did.

They donned another fake face, the three of them pleased Claire Sullivan with different identities.

"We are married."
