Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 374 - 373: The Unexpected Visitor
Serena Sullivan wasn’t someone who liked to interfere with others.
Even though she knew she didn’t have much time left, she wouldn’t pick a girl to look after Ethan Grant’s future.
Who Ethan chooses, who he loves, is his business, and it has nothing to do with her.
Moreover, she also didn’t like Miss Sterling.
Like and dislike is just a feeling. From the first glance at Mr. Sterling and Wyatt Sterling, Serena liked them instantly. From the first glance at Mrs. Sterling and Miss Sterling, she felt aversion.
The car drove out of the garage and she noticed the rain had started pouring heavily outside, without knowing when it had begun.
Ethan Grant slowed down the car, crawling like a snail on the road.
The weather was odd; when they arrived, the sky was dark and gloomy but not a single raindrop fell.
An hour later, the heavy rain poured down, causing unease. People on the street were either seeking shelter or heading home, with few left lingering by the roadside.
As Ethan drove to the hotel entrance, Serena Sullivan turned her head and noticed a familiar person by the window.
She was standing at the hotel’s entrance, without an umbrella, and the wind and rain seemed like they might sweep her away.
"Ethan." Serena called out.
She was puzzled as to why Claire Sullivan appeared at this time.
Could she also have received an invitation from The Sterling Family? The Sterlings sent out many invitations, so Claire’s presence wasn’t surprising, but it was odd that she arrived so late.
At that moment, quite a few people were coming out from the hotel’s entrance, all attendees of the banquet, indicating that the banquet had ended as Serena and Ethan arrived.
Once the banquet ended, Claire Sullivan would head home alone. For some reason, seeing Claire standing there with her back straight made Serena feel inexplicably uneasy and urged Ethan to drive over.
Ethan Grant noticed Claire Sullivan too.
He didn’t like how Claire treated Serena before; had Claire not married Joel Quinn, Serena wouldn’t have been forced to leave Solaria, nor would she have been crippled.
However, making amends for mistakes is better than doing nothing.
If Ethan didn’t speak up for Claire Sullivan, it would be like shooting himself in the foot.
The hurt he caused to Serena was no less than what Claire did.
The car stopped in front of Claire Sullivan, but she seemed oblivious, still standing at the hotel’s entrance, and she was positioned in a way that the rain blown by the wind soaked half of her body. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Get in the car."
The car window rolled down, and Serena said to Claire.
Claire Sullivan heard Serena’s voice and turned around. At that moment, her eyes were unusually red, making Serena even more puzzled.
What’s happened to Claire Sullivan?
A person stood at the hotel door, neither entering nor leaving, and upon seeing her, started to cry.
"It’s raining, let’s go home first." Serena softened her voice and said.
Claire Sullivan showed no intention of getting into the car; she looked at Serena and asked, "You sold The Sullivan Corporation!"
Serena hesitated, not expecting Claire to bring up this question at such a time.
She nodded, "I mentioned it before."
"I’ll transfer the money in a few days."
She knew that Claire Sullivan and Joel Quinn were going through divorce proceedings, and sending the money now would go to Joel.
"To The Sterling Family." Claire Sullivan asked again in a flat tone.
Serena looked at Claire Sullivan in confusion, always sensing Claire was acting strangely.
"Yes."
She followed up Claire’s words, saying that she had mentioned selling The Sullivan Corporation at its entrance, and Claire had no objections!
"How could you sell it to The Sterling Family?"
At this moment, Claire Sullivan opposed.
