Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 328 - 327: Jealousy
However, she’s really beautiful, just as good-looking as he is.
"Hmm."
Given the current relationship between the Sterling Family and Serena Sullivan, Wyatt Sterling’s tone had become much lighter. After speaking, he worried that his words might have hurt her.
Serena’s legs were impaired, and with his attitude and tone, how would he mend a broken heart?
"We’re heading to the city as well, care to join?"
He glanced at Serena again, her smile remained unchanged, not upset by his aloofness.
"I’m dirty," Wyatt blurted out.
"It’s fine," Serena replied with a smile. This man was a completely different person from the one who had just helped her up.
Nonetheless, he was truly well-mannered, clearly not the type to play mind games.
"The car can just be washed."
Serena’s words reminded Wyatt of Mr. Sterling. His father was a devil; this beautiful Serena truly was an angel.
Looking at her radiant smile again, she appeared even more beautiful.
It would be even better if she hadn’t lost the use of her legs.
Wyatt was about to agree when he saw the car arranged by Mrs. Sterling arrive. He smiled at Serena, "Thank you, my family’s here to pick me up."
He turned, his straightened back slowly disappearing from sight.
Serena was lost in thought and didn’t notice when Ethan Grant arrived or when he got out of the car.
Ethan had been delayed by work, and when he arrived, he saw Serena talking to a man.
The man’s face wasn’t very clear, but Ethan could clearly see Serena’s profile smiling.
Pain mixed with anger surged within his chest. He wore a grim expression, intending to be upset with Serena.
When Serena turned and was surprised to see him appear suddenly, she pursed her lips, "Let’s go!"
Her natural tone instantly shattered the anger in Ethan’s heart. He went over to push her wheelchair and then lifted her into the car.
The entire process was completed with little conversation.
Inside the car, unable to contain his curiosity and discomfort, he asked, "Who was he?"
"Who?"
Serena didn’t understand.
"The man who was talking to you just now."
"Oh." Serena replied casually.
"The way up the hill was too tough, he helped push me to my grandfather’s grave."
Ethan’s expression softened slightly, stating seriously, "Serena, you can’t just chat with strangers, who knows what their intentions might be!"
Just a glance, and he knew that guy was no good!
"He seemed like a good person." Serena trusted her gut feeling, and at first glance, she felt he looked familiar, though she couldn’t recall when she had seen him before.
Serena vouching for a stranger made Ethan a bit unhappy.
As he drove, he waited for Serena to say something to appease him, and after a long wait, when Serena didn’t console him, he grew even more displeased.
He continued waiting, waiting until dinnertime when Serena picked up a piece of fish full of bones for him, telling him to eat more.
That simple comment immediately made Ethan forget the stranger at the cemetery and he delightedly picked up the fish and ate it.
In the end...
He got a fishbone stuck in his throat and drank more than half of the vinegar!
The bony fish was tasty, Serena didn’t like it, but Ethan did. Seeing Ethan just eating plain rice, she worried the evening dish would go to waste, so she picked a piece for him.
Who knew he’d eat it without avoiding the bones. Serena was speechless.
Ethan didn’t mind the discomfort of the bone in his throat; drinking vinegar, his heart felt sweet.
That was a piece Serena picked for him.
A person’s emotions dictated by another; to Ethan, this was the greatest happiness.
He loved Serena, with all his life!
