Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 319 - 318: Revenge Against Renee Grant
Ethan Grant noticed something was off. He remembered that Claire Sullivan also studied at the university in Imperial Capital. Upon thinking about Renee Grant’s disdain for Serena Sullivan and the Sullivan Family, could it be because of Claire?
"Don’t worry, Felix Lockwood isn’t Serena Sullivan’s biological father," Carter Lockwood saw through Ethan Grant’s thoughts and said, "If he were, my old man wouldn’t allow his granddaughter to wander outside."
"That’s good." Ethan Grant breathed a sigh of relief; he didn’t want to rank lower than Carter Lockwood.
He slowly smoked a couple of puffs from the cigarette in his hand, his eyes fell on Felix Lockwood’s wrinkled smiling face, and he grinned.
Everyone has their weak spot; his is Serena, while Renee’s is Felix.
The incident at The Grant Family’s Mr. Grant’s birthday banquet was causing quite a stir, with the most gossiping being about Zoe Quinn’s disgraceful behavior in front of the cameras.
Some of Zoe Quinn’s fans claimed that Zoe was drugged, which was why she acted like that, and said the matter should be reported to the police.
The police hadn’t started investigating the case of Zoe Quinn being drugged when they first received a report.
It was a case of buying and selling that kind of drug.
After the seller was caught, they confessed to everything, admitting that Zoe Quinn had bought that type of drug from them, and it was the day before Mr. Grant’s birthday banquet.
Soon after, some photos were released online showing Zoe Quinn holding a glass of red wine she gave to a servant of The Grant Family.
When the two matters were presented together, everyone quickly understood.
Zoe Quinn intended to drug others at Mr. Grant’s birthday banquet, and she wasn’t shy about who that "others" was in front of the reporters.
She deeply hated Serena Sullivan, wanting Serena to be ravaged by many men.
The malicious words were not driven by the drug’s effect but by her inherent nature.
And Zoe Quinn completely brought it upon herself; instead of successfully drugging Serena Sullivan, she drank the drugged red wine herself.
Seeing these news online, Zoe Quinn, who was substantially weakened after having her stomach pumped, was despairing, on the verge of playing the suicide game again, but wrist cutting was too painful, sleeping pills required her stomach to be pumped, jumping off a building she didn’t dare, stepping out and getting hit by a car she might end up like Serena with crippled legs. Thinking and rethinking, she washed her face with tears every day, occasionally sending apology texts to Claire Sullivan.
Claire Sullivan didn’t respond to a single text, fortunately, Sean Lockwood feared she might attempt suicide again, so whenever he had a chance, he went to watch her cry act in the hospital.
So now, Zoe Quinn focuses all her attention on Sean Lockwood.
Sean Lockwood spent his days running to the hospital, which angered Renee Grant, making her want to treat The Grant Family toward Ethan Grant by tying people up.
None of the women in the Sullivan Family are good.
Renee Grant stormed into the hospital to scold Zoe Quinn, but after less than a few reprimands, Sean Lockwood defended Zoe angrily and yelled at her.
She was so furious that blood seemed to lodge in her throat, almost bursting out.
She didn’t want Sean Lockwood to hate her, unlike with Ethan Grant where she could use all sorts of means.
This was her son, her and Felix Lockwood’s only son.
No choice, Renee Grant could only storm out of the hospital. As she was passing through the hospital garden, she noticed Serena Sullivan stepping out of the ward for fresh air.
Seeing this, Renee Grant, who couldn’t find an outlet for her anger, felt rage explode.
If it weren’t for Serena, would Zoe Quinn have drunk the drug herself? How could she possibly garner sympathy and feign weakness in front of Sean, leading him to oppose her?
If it weren’t for Serena, would Ethan Grant blow up The Grant Family and crash his car into her, leading her to be taken by the police?
This was all the fault of Serena!
The more Renee thought about it, the angrier she got. She saw that Serena only had a servant by her side; the girl who kicked her face and Ethan weren’t present.
What a great opportunity!
