Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 298 - 297: Trembling
Serena Sullivan fell from the second floor, causing a huge commotion. Mr. Monroe and Mrs. Monroe couldn’t sit still in the banquet hall and rushed to call Anna Morgan.
Anna was just searching for Finn Chandler with Carter Lockwood when she received the call, and Carter promptly sent her over.
On the way over, Anna was trembling all over, tears streaming down even more fiercely.
Finn Chandler was missing on one side, and Serena rolled down the stairs on the other. She was confused and scared.
Anna ran over, saw Ethan Grant leaning against the wall, and tearfully questioned, "Ethan Grant, how are you taking care of Serena!" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Ethan didn’t answer. He glanced at Anna, then Carter, and said, "Please stay here. When the surgery is over, call me."
On the way over, Anna was trembling all over, tears streaming down even more fiercely.
Finn Chandler was missing on one side, and Serena rolled down the stairs on the other. She was confused and scared.
Fortunately, Carter was there to stabilize the situation, holding her cold hand in the car.
Anna ran over, saw Ethan Grant leaning against the wall, and tearfully questioned, "Ethan Grant, how are you taking care of Serena!"
Ethan didn’t answer. He glanced at Anna, then Carter, and said, "Please stay here. When the surgery is over, call me."
His voice was hoarse, his eyes red as he glanced at the surgical room’s door and turned to leave.
"Where are you going?"
Carter stopped Ethan, worried about his current state.
"I’m going somewhere," Ethan forced a smile and said. He gently patted Carter’s shoulder, "Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to myself."
If something happened to him, what would happen to Serena!
"Please."
He finished speaking and lifted his foot to walk forward.
Yvette Sterling noticed something was wrong and quickly followed Ethan.
Anna looked at Carter puzzled, not knowing where Ethan intended to go at this time.
But seeing Ethan’s state, she couldn’t help feeling like the guy was going to lose his mind.
She couldn’t care about this, lifting her head to look at the surgical room’s door.
Four years ago, she had waited outside the hospital’s surgical room once before. She was truly scared; over the years with Finn, what they feared most was something happening to Serena.
Now, Finn wasn’t here again, and she was really, really frantic.
"Nothing will happen," a man spoke gently, the voice carrying strength and a different kind of warmth.
Anna turned her head to see Carter’s deep, endless eyes. At this moment, her heart calmed down slowly. She nodded and quietly waited for Serena to come out.
Today’s incident, no matter what, wouldn’t surpass the car accident four years ago.
Legs! Child! Serena had already lost half her life, what more could she lose.
The Grant Residence
Renee Grant was very angry, apologizing to Mrs. Sterling throughout the way.
A perfectly good banquet was ruined because of the jinx, Serena.
They had just welcomed Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling, and others at the entrance. As they were heading in, they heard a loud noise from upstairs and saw Serena rolling down the stairs with her wheelchair from a distance. The blood on the ground and such a big commotion left the guests in no mood to stay at the banquet.
The banquet had to end early. The Matron Grant brought Mr. Sterling’s family to The Grant Residence, asking the home chef to prepare another meal.
The Matron Grant led Mr. Sterling upstairs to change clothes, while Renee and The Matron Grant accompanied Mrs. Sterling in the dining room.
