Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 250 - 249: He’s Getting Interesting
"Finn." Serena Sullivan’s smile deepened as she glanced at Anna, whose eyes were turning red, "Anna’s drunk, take her back to rest."
Finn knew, and Serena knew even better, that some things need not be spoken.
"Be good!"
She smiled at Finn, her voice so tender and laced with laughter that it made Ethan Grant’s face darken.
Serena looked up at him again, her smile vanished, and her tone was colder, "Let’s go."
"Alright!"
Ethan’s heart was filled with both sourness and pain. His voice, when it came out, was hoarse and deep. As he pushed Serena to the restaurant’s door, without knowing what came over him, he stopped and went around to lift Serena from the wheelchair.
Serena was taken aback, not expecting him to suddenly pick her up.
Perhaps it was out of habit, or perhaps knowing that struggling was pointless, she silently let him hold her.
Holding Serena in his arms, her body was light, yet Ethan felt an overwhelming weight, so heavy he feared he might drop her and held her tighter in his embrace. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Finn watched Ethan walk away with Serena, the anger in his heart turned to sadness, slowly spilling out, making those around feel uncomfortable.
"Let’s go."
Julian Ford saw the injury on Finn’s face, knowing it was his doing, a look of guilt appeared on his face. Making such a handsome face look like that, he felt a bit embarrassed.
Finn shot him a cold glance, without responding, he turned to see Carter Lockwood supporting Anna, and said in a low voice, "Please, Second Master Lockwood, hand Anna back to me."
The words "hand back"! They made Carter feel extremely uncomfortable.
No wonder Ethan Grant disliked Finn so much, this person truly isn’t likable!
"The Morgan Family and The Lockwood Family are very close."
Carter firmly refused.
Finn stepped forward, grabbed one of Anna’s hands, and called, "Anna!"
Anna wanted to follow Finn, but the old man held her waist so tightly, with her mind not fully blurred by drunkenness, she felt like crying.
Why was Lord Lockwood holding her so tightly?
The two were at a stalemate, neither could trust the other.
"Together then."
Julian Ford, seeing both wanted to take Anna back, offered a solution that offended no one.
In the end, the four of them got into a car, because Carter hadn’t drunk, so he drove.
Carter, not trusting Anna to sit with Finn in the back seat, placed her in the front passenger seat, letting Finn and Julian sit in the back.
The two who’d just fought found each other displeasing.
Julian didn’t seem to mind, chatting with Finn as if they hadn’t fought.
Finn, indifferent, couldn’t be bothered to respond, and throughout the process, he only said one thing to Julian.
"When you’re free, let’s have another fight!"
"Alright!"
Julian responded without hesitation.
These two strange individuals left the bewildered Anna wondering if fighting could become addicting.
She blinked her bright eyes, looked at Carter driving beside her, then at Julian in the back.
"Carter, Julian, why aren’t the two of you sitting together?"
"When did you get together?"
Thinking she was asking when they met!
"It’s been about ten years."
Carter patiently replied.
"Oh!" Anna hiccupped, grinning at Finn, "Little Finn, I was right, the two of them..."
As she spoke, Anna burst into laughter, leaving Carter and Julian baffled.
Finn looked at Julian once more, rare as it was, he gave him a smile, finding it amusing that this man actually liked Carter.
