Chapter 353: Chapter 227: Young Master, We Hit Someone

Julian Fairchild glanced at the silhouette of a girl hidden by the crowd, closed his eyes again, and said calmly, "Send her over."

Miles Hughes then had someone carry the girl over. After seeing her face clearly, Miles was surprised, "Mila Miller?"

Mila Miller’s expression was filled with pain, as if she were saying, "Help me."

Miles felt something was off; wasn’t Mila supposed to be filming? How did she end up on this exit road?

But the current situation didn’t allow him to think more about it. Miles dared not let Mila and Julian sit together, so he placed her in the front passenger seat.

Mila struggled to open her eyes, seeing the handsome man with closed eyes through the rearview mirror.

Her expression was pained, but the corners of her mouth slightly curved upwards.

Upon reaching the hospital, Mila had already passed out. Julian didn’t get out of the car, as Miles carried her back and forth and finally got her settled by noon.

"This is really bizarre." Miles frowned, then paid for another month’s hospitalization and treatment fees for her.

The doctor said Mila could actually leave soon, within a week at the latest. He paid for a month just in case, as he couldn’t stay around every day.

After thinking for a moment, Miles left a little more money as compensation, along with his phone number, "This matter is half and half between us; I’ve done my utmost."

Having said this, Miles exited the hospital and drove away again.

...

When Mila woke up, it was already dark.

Seeing the white-walled hospital room, her first reaction wasn’t distress but excitement.

She eagerly sat up, coughing twice, and called out, "Nurse?"

The nurse passing by stopped, "What’s the matter?"

"The person who brought me here, I want to thank him properly!" Mila’s face was flushed, unsure if it was the warmth inside or her shyness.

"Oh, him, he’s already left." The nurse seemed to remember something, "By the way, there’s a bag here he asked me to give to you."

"What is it?"

"It’s money, said to be your compensation. He also paid for an extra month of medical fees and hired a caregiver for you. She’s fetching water for you; just rest easy."

Mila was slightly disappointed. She took the bag, opened it, and inside was indeed a card; however...there seemed to be a small note next to the card with a string of numbers on it...

Suddenly, Mila realized; it was Julian Fairchild’s phone number!

Her heart instantly bloomed with joy.

At this moment, her phone rang; it was a call from Hopper.

"Mila, where did you go? The director is looking for you." Hopper’s voice sounded somewhat anxious as well.

"I was in a car accident; come over here." Mila coughed again, as if trying to cough up her lungs.

"Car accident! Alright, alright, I’ll tell the director and come right now!"

...

"Maeve, have you heard? Seems like Mila was in a car accident." Sarah Sutton said with a frown.

"Car accident, there’s not much room around here, where did she have a car accident?" Maeve Lane replied nonchalantly.

"I don’t know; I heard it was over by Prydan Road, not at the set."

"Prydan Road..." Maeve muttered the name, "Isn’t that the way out?"

"Yeah."

Suddenly, Maeve seemed to have thought of something and let out a cold laugh.

Really, some people just don’t give up.

Luckily, it’s almost the end of filming; if nothing unexpected happens, there won’t be a need to see Mila again.

...

It’s been two or three months since Sylvia Lane had come to the Fairchild Family.

She originally thought that with Maeve Lane joining the filming crew, she could have some alone time with Julian Fairchild. But to her surprise, Julian had never once returned!

This made her increasingly anxious, not to mention having to work like a real servant daily, enduring the servants’ insults, accusations, and ridicule. Just the fact that she couldn’t see Julian was driving Sylvia crazy!

She was absolutely convinced that Maeve would not let her off easily! So, she had to do something...

Sylvia gripped the cloth tightly in her hand. Once, she saw Miles Hughes taking Mrs. Fairchild out for a walk. At that time, she almost ran up to plead for help, but then she quickly noticed that Mrs. Fairchild was surrounded by bodyguards arranged by Julian. Being so cautious even at home, it could only mean Mrs. Fairchild was being held by Julian!

If Mrs. Fairchild could be released, she wouldn’t be living so miserably! She could use Mrs. Fairchild to get a phone and then contact Anson Lane!

Even if Anson feared causing trouble, having his daughter work as a servant in someone else’s home wouldn’t look good if it got out!

Sylvia decided to first find Mrs. Fairchild’s room and then look for a chance to release her!

"Work well, you hear? Don’t keep thinking about our young master. Do you think our young master is someone you can covet?" one servant jeeringly remarked.
