Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud-Chapter 203 - 179: Julian Fairchild Rushes In (Part 2)
"There’s a doctor here, let’s take Maeve to see him first."
Upon hearing this, Julian Fairchild changed direction and walked straight toward the location Director Dayne mentioned. From a distance, Summer Ainsworth spotted the rash on Maeve Lane’s face—her originally fair and translucent complexion now had large patches of red, looking somewhat frightening.
A strange light flashed in her eyes, "Come on, let’s go check it out too."
Summer’s agent and assistant followed her to the infirmary.
Fortunately, the crew had anticipated this issue, and before filming began, they had arranged for a doctor to be there, so in case any accident happened, they wouldn’t be caught off guard, potentially leading to more serious problems.
When they reached the infirmary door, they saw Director Dayne and several producers sighing as they walked out. Inside, they could faintly hear Julian Fairchild talking with the doctor.
The flames of Summer’s jealousy burned even more fiercely. She clearly remembered that when she first arrived, Julian Fairchild was always indifferent to Maeve Lane, but now, over a month had passed, and it seemed their relationship had developed rapidly.
Maeve Lane didn’t seem to change, always looking at everyone with that cold demeanor, but Julian Fairchild—Summer clenched her fists—she could see it clearly.
He must have taken a liking to Maeve Lane.
However, luckily she succeeded. With Maeve like this, she definitely won’t be able to shoot the upcoming scenes!
Summer walked up to Director Dayne and consoled, "Director Dayne, don’t worry, if Maeve can’t shoot, we can still find someone else, there’s still time."
Director Dayne gave her a strange look, "Find someone else?"
Seeing that Director Dayne showed some interest, Summer felt like she found an ally, "Yes, actually I think I could try for that role. I feel I’m quite similar to Eliza Grant."
"Eliza Grant in the original work is an unparalleled beauty. Even when dressed as a man, people can’t take their eyes off her. Which part do you think you fit?" Director Dayne was blunt, "Besides, the results aren’t out yet. How do you know she can’t act anymore and want to replace her?"
Summer froze, feeling a bit guilty. Before she could come up with an excuse, Maeve Lane walked in from inside. Compared to earlier, the redness on Maeve’s face had vanished.
She was so shocked she couldn’t speak, "How did you..."
Maeve looked at her with a slightly playful smile, "How did I what?"
Summer abruptly fell silent.
The gazes from those around her made her chuckle awkwardly, "Nothing."
After they left, Summer finally calmed herself.
Unwillingly biting her lip, it seemed impossible. Could Sylvia Lane have deceived her? But Sylvia didn’t look like she was lying at all.
From what she knew about Sylvia, she absolutely despised Maeve Lane more than Summer had imagined!
So why was it?
Did she use too little of it?
Summer dismissed her assistant and agent, deciding to ask for herself. Only then would she feel content.
The doctor in a white coat was sitting in front of a medicine cabinet, holding a pen, jotting down notes. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
A probing female voice rang out.
"Hello doctor, I’m Summer Ainsworth."
The doctor looked up at her, put down the pen, and smiled, "Hello, is there something bothering you?"
He had worked as an on-set doctor for many crews, having seen more celebrities than meals eaten, so he remained calm before Summer.
She didn’t directly ask but found a random excuse, "I have a bit of a stomachache, I think it’s food poisoning. Could you check me out, doctor?"
The doctor nodded and placed his hand on Summer’s wrist.
At this moment, Summer said seemingly casually, "Your medical skills are really impressive, to resolve allergies so quickly... Maeve’s symptoms weren’t severe, right? I saw she was gone in no time."
The doctor felt her pulse, seemingly not understanding her, "Who did you say had an allergy?"
Summer impatiently repeated, her tone more urgent, "Maeve Lane. She didn’t look allergic at all just now."
The doctor looked at her strangely, "If she didn’t look allergic, how did you know?"
"...I," Summer’s eyes wandered, "I think it looked like... were her symptoms very mild?"
The doctor’s gaze changed slightly, moving to another spot.
But Summer didn’t notice at all, she continued talking to herself, "Doctor, why aren’t you answering me?"
"I’d also like to know why you thought I was allergic."
A cold female voice, like a bolt of lightning, exploded in Summer’s ear.
She was so startled that she shivered, not daring to turn around.
The doctor regained his composure and greeted, "Mr. Fairchild, Miss Lane, Director Dayne."
