Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 864 - 860: Reunion with Steven British
It turned out that Felix Shaw got drunk, and before he finished his sweet talk, he fell asleep right on the dining table.
Mia Foster bared her teeth, covered her eyes with her hand, and turned her face to the side; her face fell directly onto the table, just looking at it was painful.
Luckily, Felix Shaw’s face was buried in his plate, where there was still half a piece of steak left unfinished.
Taking a deep breath, Mia Foster had no choice but to call for the bill, then grabbed Felix Shaw’s arm and draped it around her neck, supporting him as she staggered out of the restaurant.
"Hey, Mia? Is that you?" A male voice called out from behind as they passed a table. Mia Foster stopped and looked back. Steven British, seated at a table against the wall, was having dinner with friends.
In the dim light, dressed in a light gray suit, with his fair skin, he looked like a prince straight out of a comic book.
Western men often have well-defined facial features, sharp and deep-set eyes, a high nose bridge, and especially those sea-green eyes, clear and profound, looking at Mia Foster with undeniable surprise.
"Hi!" Mia Foster greeted politely. Just as she was about to keep moving with Felix Shaw, Steven already stood up, pointing at the man hanging on her, and hesitantly asked, "Mia, this gentleman is...?"
"Oh, my relative." Mia Foster explained with a smile, not knowing why she added, "He flew over specially to see me during the holiday."
"I see," Steven smiled politely, leaned over to say something quietly to his friend across the table, then walked over. "Mia, let me help you." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Without waiting for Mia Foster to refuse, he grabbed Felix Shaw’s other arm and looped it around his neck. "It’s no trouble, I can do it myself." Mia felt that her relationship with Steven hadn’t reached the level where she could bother him, so she politely declined.
"It’s no trouble; it’s something a man should do," Steven insisted on helping, whether due to his gentlemanly nature or a warm heart. He held onto Felix Shaw’s wrist and was about to move forward.
Pressing her lips together, Mia Foster couldn’t refuse again and could only let him help. Who knew, as soon as they took a step, Steven lost his balance and crashed into the table next to them.
The drunken man was heavy, causing Mia Foster to be pulled along.
With a bang, the dining set on the table wobbled.
"Sorry," Steven apologized to his friends. Luckily, he crashed into their own dining table; hitting another guest might have caused trouble.
The latter glanced at the man almost pressed against him and raised an eyebrow in understanding.
Felix Shaw was entirely resting on Steven, and in a moment of negligence, the corners of the drunken man’s lips slightly curled up.
"Felix, a little this way," Mia Foster called out, trying hard to pull Felix Shaw back. The unconscious man furrowed his handsome brows, murmuring, "Honey..." and then obediently leaned over. His handsome face pressed against Mia Foster’s head, but it was a weight she could fully bear.
Maybe they were too focused on getting the drunkard out of the restaurant, so neither of them paid attention to Felix Shaw’s call. Upon exiting, Steven helped Mia Foster stuff Felix Shaw into the passenger seat. Mia thanked him, then quickly moved around the front of the car to sit in the driver’s seat. Before starting the car, Mia rolled down the window to politely say goodbye to Steven, but before she could roll it back up, the man in the passenger seat, who had just been sleeping peacefully, leaned over, drowsily holding Mia Foster and trying to kiss her, muttering to himself, "Honey, let’s go home..."
