Chapter 809: Chapter 805: Ignore It

"Let go of me, I have important business to attend to!" Mia Foster anxiously slapped at Felix Shaw’s hand, not wanting to become a laughingstock or delay the signing.

Felix halted his steps, raised his handsome brows and sneered, "Important business? Rushing to put a green hat on me counts as important business too?"

Mia Foster...

She truly wondered what kind of brain circuitry this foolish man had. Couldn’t he see the person was a client she was hosting?

As she was speechless, standing at the company’s glass door, Manager Qu spoke up, "Manager Foster, do you need help calling security?"

After speaking, without waiting for Mia Foster’s response, he pushed open the glass door and called the hotel’s security, "Security, is this how you stand by while guests encounter trouble without intervening? Who would dare stay at your hotel in the future!"

Worried about complaints, two security guards quickly jogged over, and Manager Qu pointed with his hand, prompting the two guards to jog down the steps.

"Sir, please do not cause trouble!" Lately, Mia Foster had been in and out of the hotel, so the security had completely taken her as a hotel VIP.

"Cause trouble?" Felix Shaw laughed coldly, "I’m causing trouble, so what can you do about it?"

"Miss, do you know this gentleman?" One of the security guards turned to Mia Foster.

"I don’t know him."

Mia Foster answered coldly, and the two security guards exchanged a glance, then held Felix Shaw’s arms, one on each side.

"What are you doing? Let go!"

"Sir, please leave!"

Watching Mia Foster walk towards the hotel again and then enter alongside Manager Qu, Felix Shaw wasn’t about to leave. He shook off one of the security guards’ hands and was about to chase her.

He felt a weight on his shoulder as one of the security guards knocked him down with a baton. Felix Shaw had never been treated like this before; he gritted his teeth, took a sharp breath, and swung his fist to punch the guard in the face.

Both guards had batons in their hands, and Felix Shaw, no matter how capable, couldn’t handle both at once. In the hotel lobby, Manager Qu looked back briefly, smiled and asked, "Manager Foster, aren’t you going to stop them?"

Taking a deep breath, Mia Foster raised her chin as if restraining something, "No need to worry, let’s go get the contract." With that said, she proceeded to walk toward the elevator, and Manager Qu smiled smugly at the clearly disadvantaged man.

When they walked out of the hotel again, Felix Shaw had already left, and Mia Foster drove Manager Qu back to the company to sign the contract.

Throughout the drive, Mia Foster focused on driving with her chin held high, but her tense expression betrayed her concern.

In the hospital, Evander Lancaster helped Felix Shaw clean his wounds while asking, "Third Brother, who was so blind as to dare beat you up like this?"

Staring ahead, Felix Shaw’s face was gloomy, thinking about Mia Foster’s indifferent reaction made him uncomfortable.

"Third Brother, why don’t you say something? Is there someone in T City you’re afraid to provoke?"

Recovering his thoughts, Felix Shaw took a breath, "Give me a cigarette."

The two security guards he clashed with had been fired by the hotel, but of course, not before he gave them a harsh lesson. But that woman, he didn’t expect Mia Foster to be so heartless.

Evander Lancaster pulled out a cigarette box from his white coat pocket and handed it to Felix Shaw, then replaced the gauze, asking, "Third Brother, was it your rival who beat you up? Honestly, that guy didn’t look very strong..."

"If you keep silent, no one will mistake you for a mute!" Mentioning the man Mia Foster was seen entering the hotel with, Felix Shaw seemed to have his tail stepped on, casting a glance at Evander Lancaster, his face grew even darker.

Evander Lancaster chuckled lightly, saying, "Third Brother, aren’t you being overly defensive? I don’t think that man is Sister-in-law’s lover; he should be a client. Sister-in-law’s taste in men shouldn’t be that bad."

"Then why didn’t you say so earlier!" Just as Evander Lancaster finished speaking, Felix Shaw snapped with displeasure.
