Chapter 701: 697, watch a movie together

The boss looked at Mia Foster with a smile, "You’re his girlfriend, aren’t you?"

Mia Foster nodded politely, "Yes." She didn’t deliberately explain that she was his fiancée.

While nodding, the boss said, "Girl, you’ve got to take good care of your boyfriend. The young man is very dedicated, often working overtime until midnight, and then making do with just a bowl of noodles," after saying that, the boss shook his head and sighed, "Alas, it’s not easy to make money these days."

"I will." Mia Foster glanced at Felix Shaw, who was still focused on eating his noodles. Seeing that his bowl was almost empty, Mia Foster picked up her own bowl and offered it to him, saying, "Help me eat some, it would be a pity to waste it."

Felix Shaw looked at her and smiled without saying anything, and pulled the bowl in front of him to continue eating the noodles.

Mia Foster had never known that Felix Shaw could be so down-to-earth. Her impression of him had always been one of high class, a man who frequented upscale restaurants and clubs.

Two more customers entered the shop, and the boss said "Enjoy your meal" before getting up to serve them.

Felix Shaw ate most of another bowl of noodles, apparently very hungry. Mia Foster knew he had barely touched his food when they ate lunch together earlier.

After coming out of the small restaurant, Felix Shaw didn’t hurry to get the car, saying he had eaten too much and wanted to walk it off first.

Mia Foster walked beside him, their shadows stretched long under the street lamps, her fingers unconsciously touching the ring that Felix had slipped back on, the one he had said she was not allowed to take off without his permission...

A smile crept across her lips unconsciously, and Mia Foster took the initiative to grab Felix’s hand.

He glanced at her indifferently, and though he showed no emotion, he didn’t refuse. Instead, he enveloped her hand in his. On this night at the turn from spring to summer, Mia Foster tasted the sweetness.

They strolled along the sidewalk for a while with Felix, and then he took her to a movie theater. It was Mia Foster’s first time entering such a place. She queued up with Felix, bought tickets, and seeing other couples buying popcorn and cola, Mia Foster sought Felix’s opinion, "Should we get some too?"

"You want to eat?" Felix Shaw asked her plainly, obviously not interested in these snacks.

Mia Foster wasn’t very fond of them either, but it felt incomplete to watch a movie without these two things. She nodded, "I do."

With a soft chuckle, Felix Shaw seemed to tease her for being childish, but he still turned to the counter and bought cola and popcorn.

With her bag on her elbow, Mia Foster held the cola and popcorn and followed Felix into the screening room. It was her first time watching a movie like this, a curious feeling, as if she was still anticipating something deep inside.

They took their seats in the middle of the auditorium. There weren’t many people coming to watch the movie, just a few couples sitting in front. As the lights dimmed and the film began to play on the big screen, the couples moved their heads closer together, so Mia Foster subtly leaned towards Felix Shaw as well.

Perhaps men have a fondness for foreign blockbusters, for Felix Shaw had chosen a horror film.

Rational women, watching the scenes frighten the girl in front to throw her popcorn and exclaim in surprise, found it quite incomprehensible.

Yet seeing the boys comforting their scared girlfriends in their arms, they couldn’t help but feel envious...

Mindlessly popping popcorn into her mouth, Mia Foster turned to look at the man beside her. Felix Shaw was reclining in his seat, in a very standard and comfortable posture, his long legs elegantly crossed, hands also crossed in front, eyes locked intently on the big screen. In the dim light, his emotions were unreadable.
