Chapter 633: 629, Nathan Moore and I are husband and wife, it’s an unchangeable fact (Countdown to the Ending Six)

Hours had passed, and the lights in the emergency room of the hospital were still on. Nathan Moore stepped once again to the edge of death, and Titus Zane thought she would collapse, but after a long wait, she was surprisingly calm.

Sitting quietly in the hospital corridor, she looked down at the ground, her lowered gaze hiding the swelling in her eyes. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Felix Shaw and Evander Lancaster smoked in the fire escape, both heavy-hearted as their brother was seriously injured.

Sophia Hamilton gently tugged at Evander Lancaster’s sleeve, "Stop smoking," she said, having run countless times that afternoon to buy them cigarettes.

Evander Lancaster looked at her with drooped eyes—having smoked excessively, his voice hoarse as he spoke, "You go back to the hotel."

Sophia Hamilton shook her head gently, and Evander Lancaster frowned slightly, "Listen to me." Nathan was seriously hurt, and if anything went wrong, there would be a lot to deal with.

Sophia pressed her lips together, nodded, and said, "Okay" before leaving.

Alder Locke’s injuries were minor, and after the surgery, he lay in the hospital bed surrounded by loved ones who fussed over him.

After rushing to the hospital, Abigail Zimmerman stayed beside Titus Zane, who sat silently like a statue. Abigail raised her hand to comfort her, but before she could, Titus Zane shifted her body to the side, dodging her hand, while also looking up at her.

Her cold eyes were devoid of warmth, as if she was looking at a stranger.

"You should go back. Nathan is my husband, being here is my duty. You don’t need to stay."

"Titus, you—"

Abigail’s hand still hung in mid-air. Knowing that this incident greatly impacted Titus, but didn’t expect such an abrupt change in her demeanor. Abigail had just started to speak when Titus cut her off.

"Don’t try to play the family card with me. Although I crave familial affection, it doesn’t mean you can take advantage of me repeatedly."

Seeing Titus’s cold demeanor, Abigail’s expression stalled. She moved her lips, but found herself at a loss for words.

Titus turned her face away, looking towards the emergency room door. She was still wearing the white dress from the engagement party, now covered with a coat, and her delicately made-up face had been nearly washed clean by tears.

Samuel Zane came out of the elevator, with George following behind. The father and son approached the corridor, one after the other.

Abigail stood up, "Dad."

"Hmm," Samuel Zane responded indifferently, his expression stern, "How is it going?"

"Still in the emergency room."

"Take Titus back to change her clothes." Samuel glanced at Titus, who kept her gaze fixed on the direction of the emergency room, completely disregarding their arrival.

"Dad, Titus, she..." Abigail turned to look at Titus, seemingly troubled.

"Go change your clothes with your aunt." Seeing Titus unmoved, Samuel Zane stepped forward and commanded sternly.

Titus withdrew her gaze, looked up at her grandfather, her cold demeanor unchanged.

"Go change your clothes!" What was supposed to be an engagement party had ended in such a result; due to her grandson’s previous profession, it brought significant trouble, which displeased Samuel Zane, especially seeing Titus’s indifference towards him.

"You have no right to demand that of me." With those few words, Titus’s tone was as cold as her expression, Samuel Zane’s eyebrows furrowed, about to erupt in anger, but Titus continued to speak coldly.

"I acknowledged you because you are my biological mother’s father, but that doesn’t mean you can boss me around because of your status...

From now on, you are not my family, nor can you hope to control my actions. Nathan and I are husband and wife, whether you acknowledge it or not, that is an unchangeable fact."
