Looking at the prominent characters on it, Nathan Moore wondered, "Whose divorce certificate is this?"

Standing in front of the hospital bed, the tall and imposing man said expressionlessly, "You’ll know once you look."

A bad feeling surged in his heart; Nathan hesitated and reached out to pick up the small booklet. As soon as he opened it and saw the two familiar names, his well-defined fingers began to tremble slightly.

Looking up in shock, he turned to face Xiao Li, "How could this happen?"

Without the knowledge of either party involved, he and Titus Zane were actually divorced?

Nathan’s selfless act of saving Titus made Xiao Li respect him, so, exceptionally, a man who was only loyal to his duty unexpectedly leaked the information to Nathan, "It was the old chief’s idea,"

With a sneer, Nathan coldly laughed, the corners of his lips raised in self-mockery. The higher officials suppress people; even from such a distance, the old man actually helped them get a divorce in T-city... It felt ironic just thinking about it.

While self-mocking, he heard Xiao Li continue, "The old chief believes that all of Miss’s troubles today were caused by Mr. Moore, so... he will not let Miss marry someone who once drove her to desperation."

"I understand," Nathan nodded continuously, aware of the harm he had once caused Titus, but was he really not going to be given a chance to make amends?

Watching Nathan’s helpless and dejected demeanor, Xiao Li said, "Miss... she’s getting engaged tomorrow, at West Peak Hotel," meeting Nathan’s evidently shocked eyes, Xiao Li continued, "Miss doesn’t know, she was tricked there by the old chief,"

After Xiao Li left, Nathan immediately left the hospital without waiting to complete the discharge procedures, rushing back to the hotel he had been staying at previously.

Unable to book a flight to Banyan City for that day, he could only catch the earliest flight the next day; but before flying to Banyan City, he made a call to his brother.

If they won’t agree for them to be together, then, he would take his brothers and snatch her back!

Banyan City, Titus Zane was very surprised to see her uncles and aunts suddenly appear at the Locke Family’s house.

"Auntie, why have you come too? Are you here to take me and grandpa back?"

Abigail Zimmerman wasn’t good at lying; she smiled faintly, at a loss for words, but her husband George had already answered for her.

"We’ll go back the day after tomorrow."

Hearing her uncle say this, Titus breathed a sigh of relief. She was finally able to return; she feared she might collapse if she didn’t go back to the capital soon.

Wondering if there was something wrong with her phone, she had been unable to reach Nathan Moore since last night; this morning too, it had been a full day without any contact with Nathan, she didn’t know what state he could be in right now.

Initially planning to buy a new phone, upon hearing her uncle say they would return to the capital the day after tomorrow, she dismissed the idea. After all, it was just one more day; she could endure it and see Nathan the day after tomorrow.

Anxious and restless, Nathan barely slept last night, calling Titus countless times, only to be met with a busy signal. He sent messages and texts, but with no replies, Nathan couldn’t help but suspect that something had been done to Titus’s phone, or maybe, the signal was being blocked.

The next day, Nathan got up early, first calling Felix Shaw, then Evander Lancaster. He didn’t notify Nicholas Croft or Sophie Foster since he was too overwhelmed with emergencies himself.

He arranged with his two brothers to meet up in Banyan City. The engagement party was set for one in the afternoon, and taking the earliest flight, he would make it there in time to prepare everything.
